"Why are you so mean!?"
"Why are you so stupid?"

Miyu walked over with a rounded tray to where Haruka and Seohyun were having a little spat. The Japanese girl had her cheeks puffed out and her hands on her hips as she glared down at the short haired girl who's eyes were glued to her laptop but the smirk on her face was eminent as she continued to insult Haruka to her heart's content.

"What's going on here?"
"Mimi-tan!!"
"Mimi-tan"

She mocked and Seohyun snickered as Haruka whimpered frustrated and Miyu patted her back and pointed her towards the kitchen. She took the seat out next to Seohyun and frowned lightly.

Miyu held her hand over her eyes to block the sunlight streaming in from the window so she could see her.

"Why are you always picking on her?"
"Because I don't suffer fools lightly"
"But she's not foolish"
"She's childish, close enough and I enjoy it"

Seohyun was typing at an impressive mile a minute speed and as Miyu tried to peer at her screen she quickly closed it and narrowed her eyes. She's been at the restaurant everyday, sitting at the same table, ordering the same things, and always working on her laptop till closing for a while now.

Miyu learned she was a University student at one of the most esteemed schools, she didn't like whip cream on her cocoa, she has a twin brother and she liked to demean others and she took great joy in it.

Something she learned recently that she would never expect was what Chunsung had told her. When Miyu had the day off at the beach, that was the first day Seohyun decided not to stay.

She sat at her designated table, looked around and when she didn't spot her she just got up and left without a word.

"What are you always working on so diligently Seohyun-ah?"
"Wouldn't you like to know"
"Haruka's right you are mean"
"No "

Seohyun lifted her gaze from the screen and was surprised Miyu was smiling at her. Furrowing her brows she thought the waitress would be annoyed with her behavior but here she was....smiling?

Hearing her name being called from the kitchen Miyu wished her well with a salute and Seohyun watched dumb founded. Bringing her sights back to her screen she thought maybe the waitress really was nice but then she shook her head and began to type furiously once again. There are no nice people.

Upon entering the kitchen Haruka latched onto Miyu from behind and whined into her shoulder.

"SHE'S SO MEAN! WHY CAN'T WE BAN HER OR SOMETHING?!"
"She's not mean, just a bit snarky that's all"

The two looked over at Eunji who was smiling softly while stirring the big pot of curry absent mindedly. Her attitude had flipped a complete 180 and her good mood was warming up the atmosphere at the restaurant even more than the constant sunlight streaming in from the glass windows.

"What happened with Eunji?"

Haruka hummed curiously when Miyu stiffened uncomfortably as she had a flashback then she shook her head and continued to help with orders.

"I don't want to talk about it....."
"That's not fair! I want to know!"
"There are some things better left unknown.....and unseen....."

Miyu wiped her forehead after making the last smoothie to finish off the waiting line at the counter and she peered at the clock and smiled. Lunch break. Grabbing a curry meal she looked around the restaurant and saw her friends waving at her from a booth in the back.

She was about to join them but then she peered over at Seohyun who had her laptop closed and she was eating her ramen quietly while gazing outside. Walking over to her table Seohyun looked up curiously and Miyu nodded towards the seat.

"Want some company?"
"No"

She stated bluntly and with a noodle hanging out of Seohyun's eyes widened as Miyu pulled the chair out and she sat comfortably next to her with a mischievous smile on her face.

"I said I don't want your company"
"I know and I don't care so it up"

Miyu chuckled as Seohyun's mouth dropped slightly and she proceeded to eat and after a moment of bafflement Seohyun too continued to eat her hot noodles with her customized chop sticks.

"Do you have any friends Seohyun-ah?"
"Mind your business waitress"

Miyu shrugged and took another bite of her curry and out of the corner of her eye she could see Seohyun's shoulders drop and she peered up at her.

"No, no I don't"
"How come?"
"Because people are leeches that only want to be around you when you have something they want and when you don't want to give it to them they end up talking bad about you and I'm too good to deal with that."

She stuck her nose in the air proudly and it stirred Miyu's curiosity but if she were going to get an answer she'd have to think like this snark individual who really was just a lonely girl trying to protect herself.

"Oh really? What could you possibly have that people constantly want?"
"Why would I tell you?"
"I bet it's nothing special"
"Excuse me?"

Miyu slyly sipped her drink as Seohyun's eyes widened and her face reddened.

"You heard me~ I bet it's nothing special."
"Oh yeah!?"
"Yeah~"

Seohyun glared and almost spilled her drink as she whipped her laptop open and Miyu peered at the screen curiously with eyes rounded. It was a blog? The page had a very intricate layout and boxes were moving constantly. There were multiple tabs open and folders with pictures open and to be honest she had no idea what she was looking at.

"Judging by that stupid look on your face you have no idea what this is do you?"
"Of course I do! It's ugh....a blog.....of some kind?"

Miyu flinched as Seohyun scoffed and she scrolled up the page and Miyu's eyes widened. It was not just a blog. It was THE blog. IDOL CRUSH YOU was the number one Korean Pop Idol blog that even a K-pop noob like Miyu knew about even before getting involved with them.

Always on top of all news ranging from rookie groups to the more established groups, releases and scandals, every K-pop enthusiast worshipped this blog, even the Idols themselves would keep an eye out for this website. Eunji once told her just by a single review this website destroyed a rookie group's career before they even started.

"You're the writer for this blog?"
"Not only the writer, I created it from the ground up, I own it. Everything about this blog is run by me. I have legit in tell on the inside of all major companies, an army of photographers that do as I say when I say it, and I am highly feared among the internet and for good reason. Like I said I don't suffer fools lightly. I tell it like it is and I have the facts and proof to back it up. With family in the industry and high revenue from the site I am Queen. Impressed yet?"

Miyu nodded and Seohyun felt a tinge of pain in her chest. She'll probably ask her for money or something? Or maybe to hook her up with Idol type things and use her like everyone else has? She shouldn't have told her.....

"I am. Not exactly by what you do but how passionate you are about it."
"What?"

Miyu wiped with her napkin and smiled at her sincerely.

"You're very passionate about this. The way your eyes gleamed as you discussed what you did, how excited you were to share it with me, typing endlessly everyday, you really put your soul into this and it's impressive and admirable."

Seohyun watched as she scrolled through the entries, her eyes scanning over her work and Miyu chuckled and shook her head.

"You're even merciless on the internet. No wonder you're so respected, you really know what you're talking about."
"People hate me for it. Sometimes others ask why I can't be nice and it's very simple: Nice gets you nothing. The industry always phones me up and asks for favors, people ask for favors, pretending to be friendly then when you don't give them what they want they'll try to break you. So I break people before they break me."
"I don't hate you"

She closed the laptop and pushed it back towards Seohyun who's eyes twinkled but she frowned.

"But you don't even know me"
"I know you enough and trust me I don't hate you. Sure you're a bit...."
"y?"
"Hahaha yeah but it's okay~"

She held her hand out while wiggling her fingers and Seohyun peered at it curiously with a raised eyebrow.

"Friends?"
"Why would I be friends with someone like you?"
"Because you look like you really want one"

Her words struck Seohyun's heart and without realizing it she found herself shaking Miyu's hand firmly. She coughed bashfully and tried for the first time to initiate conversation that didn't begin with an insult. Noticing her struggle Miyu giggled and held her head in her hand.

"So you must really like Idols huh?"
"They are God's gift to the world."
"Do you have your favorites? Do you know any?"

Seohyun went on an excited rampage as she talked about her favorite groups. With her family in the industry she also had met many Idols but chose to keep a strictly professional relationship with them.

She even boasted with her power she could get whatever she wanted from a click of her mouse because people hung on her every word no matter what. This was the most enthusiastic Miyu's ever seen her and she couldn't help but giggle.

Realizing herself Seohyun coughed embarrassedly and looked away.

"So ugh do you like Idols Miyu?"
"Hahaha yeah sure I do. Not as much as my sister and Haruka though."
"You couldn't tortue me enough to be Haruka's friend, idol lover or not"

Miyu yelped as she laughed so hard her knee banged against the table and even Seohyun was surprised to find herself laughing along.

"I really like GOT7"
"JYPE's rookie boy group? Yeah they're okay I guess. They need to come out of 2PM's shadow then I'll really be able to evaluate them but that Jackson Wang is pretty interesting. I was the first one to react to his Youngji scandal before."
"What'd you say?"
"That he was betraying his fans by dating."
"That's not very nice"
"We already know I'm not nice. His job is to make his fans happy and having a girlfriend is not going to make them happy at all and if you think I'm bad then you've never seen jealous fangirls. Youngji would have no chance if they were caught together and they weren't on Roommate together, she'd be eaten alive."

Miyu nervously peered over her shoulder where Mark had just snuck in with a hoodie and he and Eunji were currently snuggling noses over the counter. Seohyun crossed her legs and stuck her straw in .

"Besides Idols are too good to date. Their significant other would just use them and it's just not pretty."

Miyu nodded awkwardly and wrote her cell number in her notepad and ripped it out. Seohyun looked at it as if it were the most foreign thing to ever be presented to her, ever.

"We're friends right? We can text~"
"What would we talk about?"
"Anything. That's what friends are for."

She gathered the dishes and headed back to the kitchen when Seohyun called her.

"Ummm....thanks......"

Miyu beamed at her and held a thumbs up to her new unlikely friend. A prestige Idol blogger and an Idol's secret girlfriend. What could happen?

"Seohyun-ah, what are you giggling about?"

Her father asked for he had been standing at her bedroom door for a while now without her noticing and Seohyun waved him off playfully without even facing him which took him by surprise.

"I'm just talking to my friend"
"A friend you say?"
"Yes father, a friend, now leave me be I have work to do!"

She said she was going to work, she had every intention to do so but she couldn't concentrate on her writing as another message from Miyu pinged in her inbox and she quickly dropped everything just to reply back eagerly. Seohyun found herself doing things completely out of her character since becoming friends with this strange individual.

She...giggled...a lot....it was an absolutely stupid sound but she made it often and her mother had said she's been smiling more. Of course this brought up the infamous "Do you have a boyfriend?" question to be asked a lot but her family was even more surprised to hear she had a female friend.

She didn't mean for it to happen. She had received some information that GOT7 liked to visit the Woo's restaurant so she thought if she hid there then she would catch an Idol in a scandal and she could tear the rookie group apart before they even had a chance to shine like she enjoyed doing.

It was a quaint place, lots of plants and wooden furniture and light streaming in through the windows. The food was pretty good she hated to admit though the employees were idiots, except one. The one who was now her friend.

Though she never caught sight of Idols she had learn to appreciate the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and it's quickly become one of her favorite places to hang around and work.

Her usually brutal writing has become more comedic and sarcastic and people have noticed and it only increased her page views. Miyu had urged her to open her mind a bit and give things a chance, look at matters in a different light, so instead of just bashing the new boy group that teased a debut for like four years she decided to look past that and just focus on their debut single which wasn't too bad now that she gave it a chance.

Believe it or not, she found herself actually trusting this girl and she wondered what a friend could do for a friend to show their appreciation.

Seohyun: What do friends usually get each other as gifts?
Miyu: What's the occasion?
Seohyun: Just because.
Miyu: I'm not sure hahaha

Seohyun sighed and rolled her eyes. Sometimes Miyu was very unaware but that was one of her charms. Cracking her knuckles she dove back into writing her review on 2PM's drab comeback as she continued to ponder how she could repay Miyu for this new found world of friendship she had introduced her to. Maybe nice people do exist.

As she was finishing her review of their new album No.5, what a dumb name, her brows furrowed as she checked her e-mail and one in particular had caught her eye titled: P A Y B A C K

Scanning through it she scoffed and deleted it. Another delusional fan threatening her for a review she had written about their favorite band. She received these on a daily basis and they never phased her. This particular one said they'd hurt those closest to her and she chuckled and shook her head. She didn't have anyone close for them to hurt.

Jackson pouted into the mirror as he brushed his blonde hair. Happy face. Sad Face. Crying Face. He shook his head to ruffle his hair and he beamed proudly that his hair was almost back to it's proper length.

He watched in the reflection as Mark walked in through the practice room door snuggling a pillow. They had a late practice today so the group thought it'd be fun to lounge around in their pajamas and leave it to Mark to bring his own pillow.

The platinum blonde haired boy sat next to his best friend and Jackson squealed as Mark laid his head on the pillow with a pout and cutely stared at his reflection. He's been in such a dreamy state of mind since getting back with Eunji and Jackson couldn't help but feel a bit proud that he helped.

"Hey Jackson?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you ever wish we could come out publicly?"
"What are you talking about? Everyone knows Markson!"

Jackson laughed as Mark punched him in the arm and he shook his head.

"I was just joking! SHEESH! Yeah sometimes I wish I could show off Miyu. She's the type of girl who deserves to be shown off but also I don't want to because it would just make things harder."

Mark sighed and laid back onto the floor with his eyes closed.

"Sometimes being an Idol ."
"I feel you Bro"

Jackson laid back next to him and relaxed with his arm behind his head. He hadn't discussed it with anyone but he had been contemplating on getting Miyu a promise ring. The thought alone had his stomach in knots.

They had been through so much, good and bad, even family orientated and he didn't want to lose her. He couldn't lose her. He thought a promise ring would be the best way to prove to her that no matter what happened he would always put her first no matter what anyone said. Was that too cheesy? It didn't matter because he liked cheese and so did she.

He sat up alertly as something tingled in his body. Now that he thought about it Miyu had stopped messaging him all of a sudden. Scrolling through their messages he decided to shoot her another one because of all people she should know he hated to be left hanging, ESPECIALLY BY HER.

Jackson: Baby! BABY BABY BABY BABY Where'd you go!? Wang Puppy is lonely D':

Mark opened an eye and nudged Jackson's thigh with his elbow.

"What's wrong?"
"Nothing.....just......"

Something wasn't right. The two looked up as the boys had returned and their instructor followed after, signaling it was time for practice again. Locking his phone he tossed it over to the couch but he couldn't shake this uncomfortable feeling.

Panting heavily, drenched in sweat, Jackson was completely in the zone as were the rest of the boys but suddenly the door slammed opened and they were surprised to see JYP-nim out of breath with a worried expression on his face.

"TURN OFF THE MUSIC QUCIKLY!"

The instructor hastily did as he was told and the boys looked on worriedly.

"We need to go now!"
"What's wrong Hyung?"
"The Cha sisters are in the hospital"

Jackson and Mark dropped their hand held microphones and their blood ran cold.
