Once Kim Aina had set foot into the hallways of the school, everyone’s eyes were immediately on her along with soft whispers and occasional chuckles of people who thought she couldn’t hear them.

Aina had her hands clutched onto the bottom of her skirt, desperately trying to pull it down, trying to get it just a bit on top of her knees. Her heart, raising in shock, terror and anguish as she forced herself to take the, what she thought was, shameful walk down to her locker.

It’s like the news had wings on its back, spreading out among the student body like a wildfire, leaving nothing but her ashes on the ground. “When?!” A girl blurted out, instantly covering once she realised how loud she was. “Yesterday!” Her friend said while pulling her away from the scene.

Aina hid her face behind the dark strands of her hair, thinking maybe if they couldn’t see her face, they’d leave her alone. “That’s awful,” She cringed at the horrendous memories that came flooding back.

Tears stung the corners of her eyes as she opened her locker door, shoving her backpack inside with a sigh escaping her lips. “What a poor girl,”

She didn’t feel like she could even get through the first class of the day and she couldn't even think about surviving through the whole day itself.

"What happened to her?" Girls walked past her with their lingering gazes on her scratch-filled arms that glowed red.

Groups of students walked by her, eyeing the black and purple marks on her bright skin, whispering among themselves.

Aina immediately pulled on her blazer, covering her arms from everyone's view, only leaving her hands out.
