"Remind me again why I chose to accompany you to this double date?" I asked and harshly stabbed the piece of meat left on my plate. "Because I'm your bestest friend and you still owe me one because I took the blame for you when your mother got mad at you for staying out so late." She wiggled her eyebrows at me with an annoying smirk plastered onto her face.
I sighed and popped the meat into my mouth then laid my head onto the table. "Wouldn't it be better if you do something nice without expecting anything in return?" I asked with a hopeful smile. Maybe if I make her feel guilty, she'll let me not go with her to the date. "Hey, Kang Lina. I was the one who told you that you didn't have to pay me back but you were the one who insisted so here you are." She wiggled her finger at me. Damn it.
"Ugh, fine. I'll make a mental note to not ask favours from you again since I'll have to repay them again in the future." I grumbled and brought my now empty plate into the sink. "Hey, don't say that. You can ask favours from me anytime, just don't insist on paying me back because I'm pretty sure you'll regret it." She chuckled then went into the living room. "Yeah, like how I'm regretting it now." I mumbled. I swear, sometimes I can be so stupid.
"So what time am I supposed to be there?" I asked her and washed my hands. "Darling, we'll be going there together." She yelled with a fake british accent. Well at least I wouldn't have to look like a lost puppy when I get there. "What time?" I asked and sat on the couch next to her. "You have to start getting ready in like, ten minutes." She flicked her wrist in the air.
"Ten minutes?! I haven't even thought of what to wear yet!" I jumped up from my seat. "How are you going to dress up when you're here?" I turned to Miyoung who was still sitting down like there was not a single problem in the world. "Chill, I brought my stuff." She chuckled and pointed towards the window."They're in my car." She added. She stood up from her seat and dashed out the front door as I went up to get started.
I haven't even got a clue as to what I'm going to wear. I don't even know where we're going. As if on cue, Miyoung burst into my room with a black short dress. "It's just at a semi-formal restaurant, relax." She said as she started ing her pants. "Woah! I know we're close and all but please do not strip in front of me." I covered my eyes and quickly turned around. "It's not like you're going to do anything to me." She mumbled. "Excuse me, I feel so uncomfortable go change in the bathroom or at least turn around, damn." I huffed as I took out a maroon dress from my closet and made my way into the bathroom.
I swear I have a lot of dresses but I can never pull them off and it .
“I hate you so much.” I groaned as I stepped out of the bathroom while trying to pull down the skirt of my dress. I was wearing a maroon dress that ended just above my knees with a matching thin black belt around the waist and its straps were the think kinds which I don’t really know what you call them. “Please tell me I don’t have to wear heels.” I said as I stood next to her in front of the mirror.
Her face slowly escalated into a frown then into her ugliest crying face. “Why do you have to be so pretty?! I mean, my date would probably want to date you too.” She stomped her foot as she accidentally drew a red line with her lipstick on her cheek. “Wait, what?” She opened frightful eyes and they turned round like saucers. “!” She cursed as she ran into the bathroom and tried to wipe it off leaving a laughing me in the bedroom.
“It’s not funny!” She closed the door after successfully wiping off the exes makeup. “And, no you don’t have to wear heels otherwise you’ll be too formal.” She said as she put on her set of heels. “Won’t you look too formal?” I asked her as she just said wearing heels would be too formal. “I need the height boost, okay? I’m only 5”2 get over it.” She
