“Have you seen Maya?” Namjoon jumped up beside Minyoung who was pulling out a few books from her locker. “Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” She looked at him for a moment, then, back to her things.

Namjoon let out a sigh as he thought for a moment, “I don’t know where she is. She’s been avoiding me all day.” He ran a hand down his face. “In Math class, I called out to her but she just looked back then, ran out of the classroom.”

Minyoung clicked her tongue then slammed her locker shut. “What did you do this time, Namjoon?” She chuckled and shoved her money into the back of her pocket. “Just kidding, she’s been ignoring me the whole day as well.”

“Listen, you should just check her hiding spots. In times like this, you and I know that she stays at one of them.” She smiled then waved goodbye, leaving Namjoon before he could even say anything else.

“Hiding spots?” Namjoon asked himself. He knew that she had a lot of hiding spots in the school, depending on how she felt. But at the moment, he had no idea what was wrong which makes everything harder than it already is.

Suddenly, Namjoon sprinted down the corridors, bumping people accidentally while mumbling a quick apology. He pushed through the doors and ran to the very back of the library where the old books that no one was interested in were kept.

He knew that one of Maya’s favourite hiding spots was this place. She came here to think, saying that this was the quietest place in the school and that she could hear herself think.

Namjoon silently hoped that his hunch was right as he walked on the sides on the shelves, searching for her, expecting to see her sitting against the wall or in between the shelves.

To his surprise, he found her with her with her eyes shut, head rested on top of an open book. Notebooks surrounded her and her hand was dangling on the side of the table.

He pulled a chair to her side and sat down, gazing at her sleeping face as a small smile crept up onto his face. Aigoo, stayed up all night again?

Namjoon picked up one of the notebooks and found out that it was her Math notebook. He chuckled at how neat her notes were and compared it to his own notebook that was not only messy but had a bunch of doodles everywhere.

For a moment, he leaned back onto his seat and watched her as she slept. Another small smile spread across his lips as he decided to stand up from his chair and pack up her things.

Picking up the notebooks and putting them all into one pile, he began gathering all her pen
