“Claudia, are you sure you want to do this?” Mark asked her for the nth time ever since they arrived at the skateboard park, fifteen minutes ago. He knew silly it was for him to constantly ask the same question for the past fifteen minutes but he couldn’t help it.

Claudia giggled a little as she laced her fingers with his and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “I’m sure.” She gently pulled him towards the small ramps. “I wanna do the ramps!”

Mark quickly dug the heels of his feet onto the ground and pulled her back. “Hold up! You still don’t know how to ride a skateboard on flat ground and now you want to do a ramp?!” He placed his skateboard down on the ground and coaxed her to do the same.

Last week, he agreed to teach her how to skateboard. They even went to the mall to buy her a skateboard of her own with customized wheels. “Come on, the faster you learn, the faster you’ll get to try the ramp.”

He held his hands out and helped her up onto her skateboard. “Careful,” He said as he watched her step onto it. “How long do you think will it take for me to learn how to do this?” Claudia looked up at him, startling Mark because of the small distance between their faces.

A smile formed onto his face as he bent his knees a little and pecked her on the lips. “I’ll give it three weeks and I’m sure you’ll be able to skate around the neighbourhood on your own.”
