Vina had her arms wrapped around herself as she tried her very best not to cry while everyone around her whispered about how she had just walked into the school building, then the next thing she knew, a bucket of red paint was dumped over her; staining every bit of her blazer and skirt.

Laughs erupted from the second floor as two heads popped out from the railings, holding onto a red-dripping bucket. “Nice one!” Namjoon chuckled as he and Jimin sped off into the corridors—tossing the bucket aside on the way.

“Call out the bulls!” one of the boys hollered from the back of the crowd. followed by profuse laughter from everyone that surrounded her. “Bullseye!” Taehyung yelled from the staircase when the egg he had thrown, crashed on the top of her head.

Vina hung her head low, paint and egg dripping from the strands of her hair down the white marble floor. She didn’t have any other choice but to head home, but her mother would yell at her instead.

Students suddenly pulled out a bunch of feathers from their pockets and roughly threw handfuls of assorted coloured ones onto her. Laughter filled the lobby of the school. It was so loud that she couldn’t even hear herself think.

The crowd parted in the middle at once when a loud voice echoed through the whole first floor. Some students scurried away, while some stayed to see what’s left of the show.

Vina couldn’t even look up from her gaze at the floor until fingers gently pulled her chin up. “I think you should go home.” Jungkook’s voice was just a little bit above a whisper.

She stood there like the heels of her feet were planted like trees on the ground. “Didn’t you hear me? Or do you just want to make yourself look even more stupid?” He flashed a thumbs-up to his friends who chuckled and waved their hands to him.

Jungkook’s chuckle slowly died down once he realised that he had already crossed the line. His hands shook as he watched the poor girl cry right in front of him.

The students started laughing once again as if they were enjoying her pain. He clenched then unclenched his hands as he thought of what to do. “Pathetic,” One of the girls chuckled as she rolled her eyes and walked away.

He felt guilty. It was like guilt was poking his heart with a stick. How can he take and watch the girl that made his heart do flips in his chest just cry and breakdown right in front of him?

Jungkook let out a sigh then shrugged his blazer off. He wrapped the blazer around Vina as he gently pulled her. “Let’s get you out of here.” He whispered.
