My Life (Including Meeting SNSD)"Like?" Taeyang asks.
I jump a little.
"Would you please stop doing that?" I ask, hand on my heart, to his chuckle.
"I’m sorry," he says quietly.
"And yes," I say, louder for the cook to hear, "it’s got a nice bite to it."
She beams again.
"Someone who enjoys her food, I see."
I smile, that’s me. I know what I like and don’t like and I’ll voice it.
"It’s call Jjol-myeon," Sean says, "it’s got noodles mixed with fresh vegetables. Again, my wife adds new things to it, making it her own."
I nod, taking another little bite. I eat that all up, eyeing the next thing on my plate, debating. I feel Taeyang watching me, eating what I’m looking at. I gulp, take a little bit and eat it. I’ve never had octopus before, so this is new to me. I look up, swallowing.
"That’ll take some getting used to," Sean says, pointing at what I just ate.
"What it is?" I ask, poking the octopus with my fork now.
"It’s Nakji Bokkeumbap," Taeyang says, smiling, "Stir-fried Octopus."
I nod, eating another little bite, I can tell he loves this, and for his benefit I try to like it, too. This time it goes down easier and I do start to like it. I look at Taeyang, him watching me closely. I look down, blushing.
Why am I blushing? I’ve never blushed before, especially not from some guy.
