The Promise
Shinhye was shocked when Yonghwa rushed and hug her so tightly. Her eyes were about to popped. She feels Yonghwa’s tight grip that making her breath hard.
“Smiley…”
Yonghwa then realized how tight that hug was. He can’t help his feelings, the fact what Shinhye did for him a while ago. He slowly loosened his body on her. “I’m sorry, Clumsy.”
Shinhye smiled awkwardly. “Why are you sorry?”
“What I mean, thank you Clumsy.” Yonghwa told her awkwardly too.
“I actually knew that your birthday is approaching but I don’t know when it is exactly. Your Dad hinted me a while ago.” She thinks fast and changed the topic because she doesn’t know what to do.
Yonghwa sighed. And again, Shinhye saved him. All along, he knows that he likes Shinhye. But now he doesn’t have enough strength to confess because he doesn’t want their friendship to in an awkward pace. He doesn’t want that, ever. “December 17th.”
“Ooh, so next week. What are your plans then?”
“I don’t know.”
“What do you want for your birthday gift?”
“Don’t bother giving me one, Clum. You’re song was good enough.” Yonghwa sincerely said.
“You’re okay with that? Tcch, when did you become that shallow?” Shinhye laughed.
“Maybe since you barged into my life?”
“Here you go again, you turn tables and it’s my fault again.” Shinhye pouted.
“But really Clum, thanks for today. This winter will be the best and I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”
“Then we need to have some remembrance.” Shinhye pulled Yonghwa’s Polaroid camera on her pocket. She stole it in his bag at the backstage a while ago.
