Chapter 54
The one I lost my first kiss to...Inhaling the fresh, rainy scent entering through their open window, Sungmin raised to the morning rays greeting his face. He lifted his hands in front of his face and stretched them as far as he could to get rid of the laziness from his muscles. A smile stretched his lips as he heard a few cracks from his body in the process. Removing off the bed sheet from his lower body, he got off his pink bed and approached the open window with the smile still intact on his face.
The beautiful scenery outside welcomed him as the site of the green and colourful garden welcomed his eyesight.
Definitely a perfect day to go on a date. His smile only widened at the thought.
He hit the warm showers to get rid of the left sleep and laziness off his body and start a new day at the hospital that would end with him and Kyuhyun going on their second date to maybe the places he had frequently seen on the dramas.
Oh yes, he was excited.
Nari had her brows hoisted as she noticed both her sons being all cheery and enthusiastic to rush to the hospital as soon as their breakfast was done with.
Did you really think the two would ruin their dates with a sasaeng fan tailing behind them carrying a camera and denying them of their privacy by telling their umma about it?
Yet, Nari was curious the whole day as her sons left with a kiss on her cheek for their work with the words, “Don’t wait for us for the dinner. We are hanging out together.”
Apparently, Donghae and Sungmin had come to a decision the previous night to keep it from their umma about their supposed date. Hence Nari really had no chance to wonder where the two were going on a weekday.
However, Sungmin was worried about his preceptor’s absence that whole morning. Kyuhyun was nowhere to be seen and the thought of the elder ditching their date had also crossed the younger’s mind due to worry. Kyuhyun hadn’t even replied to Sungmin’s worried text messages and Sungmin had no other option but to help out other pharmacists in the outpatient instead.
“You are one cute intern there.” Sungmin noticed a new face in the hospital there among the staff. That new face was handsome yet not a Korean by looks, Sungmin had assumed.
And not to forget, Sungmin felt like a midget in comparison to the height of that pharmacist. He’s taller than Doctor Kyuhyun and Siwon-ah! That was the first thing that had come to his mind the moment he laid his eyes on him.
To be polite, Sungmin just released a small smile and slightly bowed his head in acknowledgment of the other’s presence.
Half an hour had passed as he assisted some of the random pharmacists, when Kyuhyun finally showed up in the outpatient pharmacy while panting. He hadn’t even bothered to put on his white coat in his hurry.
Seriously, he was losing his perfect image due to his unexpected late arrivals ever after Sungmin showed up in his life.
But that didn’t mean Kyuhyun’s arrival just now didn’t make the intern sigh in relief and smile in happiness. He saw how Kyuhyun too gave out a soft smile to the shorter intern and started approaching the latter.
Kyuhyun had been late since he had slept late last night after working diligently on the infusion bags to get off early the next day, hence the exhaustion had knocked him out to sleep right after he changed into his pyjamas the previous night. And as a result, he actually missed out his usual alarm at morning.
After rushing towards the outpatient pharmacy to make sure his intern wasn’t being hit on by other erts, he smiled at the mere sight of the intern looking at him tenderly with a sweet smile grazing on those plump lips. With a smile of his own, he started approaching his boyfriend.
Except he was unaware of the shock that was standing by the sideline, smirking at the sight on the doorway.
“Qui Xian.”
That name…
That voice…
The smile that had been gazing Kyuhyun’s lips while looking at Sungmin had suddenly vanished as he heard that one name. His name. Chinese name.
Directing his eyesight to the owner of that familiar voice calling out his name, he came face to face with the person he had started forgetting about. In fact, he had not even thought of this very person ever since Sungmin started clouding his mind.
And the long forgotten scowl had now returned back to his face. “Zhoumi…” he whispered.
Sungmin was just standing and witnessing the sudden change of mood of his preceptor and he couldn’t help but wonder why the Chinese pharmacist was looking at Kyuhyun like that.
“Oh, so you do remember me, Bao bei.” Zhoumi smirked and he definitely didn’t miss the clenching of the fists by the person he was talking to.
“. Off.” and Kyuhyun grabbed Sungmin’s hand and dragged him out of the outpatient pharmacy as Sungmin managed to hand over the prescription he had been preparing to the pharmacist he was previously helping out on his way. The shorter male was more than confused at the encounter between Kyuhyun and Zhoumi. And how could he use that word so easily in the pharmacy? He was pouting at the crude word used by Kyuhyun earlier.
He looked up at the back of Kyuhyun’s head as he was being dragged by the latter towards the hospital exit and he softly pulled onto the pale blue sleeves of the arm that was dragging Sungmin. “Doctor Kyuhyun…” he said while doing so.
Kyuhyun, however, was too engrossed in his angry thoughts as he continued dragging his life away from that Chinese.
Oh…
His mind unknowingly tagged Sungmin
