“You know, we should work too.” Sungmin interrupted Kyuhyun as the elder stole yet another kiss from Sungmin. “All we have done so far today is getting my make-up off and kiss.”

Kyuhyun was very tempted to deepen their kiss once again as Sungmin’s swollen lips moved while speaking. “I prefer doing this all day actually.” and he followed Sungmin’s lips with his own once again.

Sungmin dodged the approaching lips to his own plump ones and Kyuhyun’s lips landed on his blushing left cheek. “Is this how you were supposed to change your attitude as my preceptor you were hinting on yesterday?” Sungmin chuckled as Kyuhyun’s lips trailed butterfly kisses on Sungmin’s left cheek and jaw.

“Believe me, that wasn’t… the plan.” he spoke in between giving kisses to the flesh on Sungmin’s face closest to his lips. “But… it seems like the plan…. changed after… I saw you in… the morning.”

The tingling feeling on his cheek and jaw made Sungmin lightly chuckle. “Stop talking while kissing me or at least stop kissing while talking to me.” he interjected with a low chuckle. “It tickles!” he added.

“No can do.” Kyuhyun replied but they actually had to separate from each other when the first ring of the bell from outside took them by surprise.

“Let go! Someone’s coming in!” Sungmin panicked as the ring of the second bell went off; warning them of someone entering the preparation room. Kyuhyun groaned in defeat as he complied with Sungmin’s request right when the person showed up in the room.

It was Hyukjae.

And he had anger and frustration written all over his face. But the moment he saw how flushed both Sungmin and Kyuhyun were and he needn’t be a genius to put the one and two together and figure out what the two had been doing before his arrival, he understood what he had interrupted.

And that realization made him stop whatever he was about to say in his anger and frustration after his encounter with a tall Chinese he had sworn to feed the crows someday.

Kyuhyun eyed his now blonde best friend weirdly as he saw the transformation of mood from fuming to unruffled.

What’s up with him? Kyuhyun’s mind formed that question even before he could finish analyzing his friend’s facial expression.

“Hyukjae? What’s wrong?” Kyuhyun asked as he got off the chair he had been occupying all along and approached his best friend calmly.

This is it. Should I tell him about Zhoumi’s arrival or should I let him be happy for the time he can be with Sungmin? He took a deep breath before he chose what option he’d finally go for. “Oh. Nothing important. Forget it.” Hyukjae smiled half-heartedly. “You carry on. But, for a reminder, not everyone coming here will be me, so better work too.” he winked.

Sungmin swore he had been blushing out of embarrassment a lot recently and this particular moment was no different.

“Bastard, like you are any better when you spend time with your ball of hyperactive energy.” Kyuhyun playfully retorted as he locked his best friend’s head with his arms playfully.

It looked awkward to see that with the two wearing those baggy surgical gowns by the way.

“Anyways, I better get going. I’m not as free to goof around with my interns so I’d rather be responsible and take my profession seriously.” Hyukjae sighed as he got his head rid of Kyuhyun’s tight lock.

“Psh! Telling the one who always has his mouth and tongue busy with a pharmacy intern every single time they meet.”

“You~”

“Please… no more mental images of my best friend making out with my preceptor’s best friend.” Sungmin pouted and the other two laughed at that.

“Alright. Now that you’re not only my boyfriend’s best friend but also my best friend’s boyfriend, I’ll not risk getting my kicked by any of those two. So, enjoy making out while I get out of this—” he looked around to the surroundings of the cold and boring room filled with the smell of ethanol and all the machines and laminar hoods “—morgue? Whatever. Bye guys.” And he took his much needed leave.

Kyuhyun smirked and turned around to face his younger boyfriend. “So… where were we before we got interrupted?”

Presenting a bag and a vial forward, “Preparing an infusion bag, Doctor Kyuhyun.” Sungmin teased back. Understanding very well that his preceptor was about to argue back, “Or I won’t go on that date with you.” he added.

All the arguments that were formed up in Kyuhyun’s genius mind just fell apart from that one threat. “Y..You won’t d-do that.” The smile on Sungmin’s lips said otherwise though. “Ha! Haha!” he faked a pitiful laugh. “I was just joking! Of course we have to work! And work shall we do!”

Sungmin was getting the gist of his effect on his preceptor and somewhere in his heart, he was actually enjoying it.

And he couldn’t do anything but smile subtly every time Kyuhyun attempted to kiss him but refrained as Sungmin just said one mere word.

Somehow, not really coming across Zhoumi the whole day had happened quite easily as Kyuhyun was actually busy with the preparations of many infusion bags he had to prepare in advance to get done with the work for tomorrow. Hence he never really got to know that the other had actually arrived. The only news he ever got to his ears was about the arrival of a pharmacist and an orthopaedic surgeon from China. And he wasn’t really interested to find out who since it didn’t concern him right now either ways.

On the other hand, Heechul stumbled on his way to his apartment as he got out of his car.

Apparently, he injured his right leg in the process of throwing his tantrums around in his boutique. That kick landing on the metallic mannequin was quite a tough one.

Coming back to the situation, he cursed a curse too shameful to hear with every step he took towards his apartment while limping all the way to the elevators.
