Hana's POV

I slept like a baby that night, but it wasn't as hard to get up in the morning because california time was several hours behind ia time.

"Morning." I mumbled to Dea coming out of my room in my jammies.

"Morning! I made us some french toast." she said with a smile.

"Sounds good." I said taking the plate she held out for me.

"Good, I thought I remembered you liking it when we were younger, but I wasn't sure if that was still the case."

"Nope, still do like it!"

"I made some fruit sauce for it too, but there's syrup if you prefer that as well." she said pointing to the bowl and jug she had set out. 

"Okay."

"You're not much of a morning person I take it?"

"Yeah, Jae always was the morning person like our mom." I said.

"You and Kevin are the same in the morning -you're like zombies."

"At least we don't eat brains!"

"True!" she said with a smile. "Now eat before everything gets cold."

"You're a really good cook Dea." I said munching on the French Toast. "Do you spoil Kevin like this when he's home or you're visiting him?"

"Sometimes, but not as much as a special guest like you."

"You don't have to treat me like a special guest Dea, I'm almost like family!"

"True, but I like spoiling my 'little sister'" she said with a wink.

"Thanks Dea I appreciate it!"

"I know you do! If you're done go get ready for church." she said taking away my plate.

"Okay, I won't be long."

I took a quick shower and did my normal makeup- eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick. I wasn't quite sure what to wear, but I had settled on a dress that I had brought along and tossed my hair up in a messy bun. 

"You look cute." said Dea washing dishes.

"Thank you, do you want me to finish so you can get ready?"

"No, this is the last plate and I just need to get dressed and curl my hair."

"Okay, I'll just be hanging out in the living room until it's time to go then." I said plopping on the couch.

"Sounds good." she called from her bedroom.

Kevin had texted me last night after I went to bed how my trip was and if Dea was treating me nice.

I texted back 'Trip went well and yes, Dea's treatming me very nicely!'

I thought he'd be asleep, but he texted me back. 'Good and good. What's on the agenda for today?'

'Church and then Lunch with your parents.'

'Cool, give them an extra hug for me okay?!'

'Will Do! How was your day?'

'Long, but good. How did the breakup go or shouldn't I ask?'

'That's good. It went better than I expected, but it was really hard to be strong.'

'I bet! *hugs* I wish I could give you one in person.'

'Me too! I really want to see you sometime. :('

'Same here! :( Maybe next time I'm in the US I'll see if we can meet up.'

'That would be awesome! Any plans for this year?'

'None that I know of, but maybe I'll be able to get away for a few days to visit family.'

'I hope you can! It has to be hard living apart from them.'

'Yeah, it's been hard now that my mom's moved fully back to the US instead of living here for most of the time with me bac when I didn't live in a dorm.'

'I can see that! :('

'At least I have the guys to hang around with and our manager takes pretty good care of us.'

'Well I would sure hope so!!'

"Who are you texting?" asked Dea.

"Kevin." I replied as I typed.

"Kevin's still up? Tell him to go to bed!"

"I will, is it time to go?"

"Yep, we need to head out as soon as we can."

"Okay." I said getting on my shoes as I was texting Kevin 'I need to go and your sister says to go to bed.'

'Okay, tell her I will! Have fun with my family! Tell them I love them!' 

'Okay, sweet dreams Kevin and ttys!'

"He said he's going to bed now and sends his love." I told Dea as we headed out the door.

"What a good boy." she said smiling now let's go.

We took the train to get to church. I was excited and nervous to see the rest of the Woo's after all these years. I played with the edge of my skirt as we traveled to church. 

"Are you nervous?"

"Yeah."

"Don't be, my parents are just as excited and nervous as you are. You should have heard my mom checking up on me and making sure I was going to get you from the airport yesterday!"

I let out a deep breath "Thanks Dea, that makes me feel a little better."

"Besides, this like a family reunion only with just you and not your whole family."

"True!"

We walked a block or two to church from the station. The woo's were waiting in the lobby for us. 

"Hana is that really you?!" she said coming forward and taking my hands.

"Yes, Mrs. Woo, as far as I know."

She chuckled "Your personality hasn't changed at all though I see! Can I give you a hug?"

"Of course." I smiled consented as she pulled me in for a long and sweet hug.

"You've gotten so pretty. I've missed you all so much."

"Me too!" I murmured. 

"Mom stop squishing her."

"It's okay Dea! I missed her hugs. Here's one from Kevin and he sends his love."

"Did you talk to him today?" she asked confused.

"I texted him a little bit this morning."

"Oh okay, he was up late! Bad boy, I'll have to scold him."

"Dea already made me scold him to get to bed, so that's all taken care of."

Mr. Woo put his hand on my cheek "I hardly recognize you from the little young lady you left as."

"I'm still the same me just a little older."

"I know. Come here." he said opening his arms for a hug.

I hugged him once and I hugged him again "That one's from Kevin too."

"Okay, let's find a seat before they start the service without us."

"Lead the way." I said pointing my arms toward the church sanctuary doors.

Church was good, and I found out we were going to the Woo's for lunch afterwards. The reunion was a lot less awkward than I expected it to be, and it really did feel like I was seeing family again after a long time -My childhood second family.
