Chapter 58
The Will That Changed Their LivesA year after…..
Narrator’s POV
Soomin and Yunho strode in the Shim residence. As they entered the maids and their family butler were running around fixing things. Soomin smiled as they stepped in.
“I’m excited.” She whispered. Yunho smiled and held her by the waist.
“Should we~”
“Oh, my daughter’s here!” Mrs. Shim entered the living room.
“Eomma, have you been doing well?” She asked as she kissed her on the cheek.
“I should be the one asking you that. You could have told me earlier!”
Soomin just grinned.
“Congratulations, Yunho. You’re going to be a father soon.” She shook his hand.
“Thank you, omonim. You must be really happy today, Changmin’s getting engaged.”
“More like I’m surprised. Who would have thought that son of mine would actually fall in love?”
Soomin laughed.
“Back biting me again?” Changmin strolled in the room.
“Oppa, congratulations!” Soomin rushed to hug him.
“Why is your tummy still so flat? Have you been eating?”
“I’m just a month pregnant, oppa.” Soomin chuckled.
“Still so skinny.” He muttered. Yunho stepped in and shook his hand.
“Congratulations, Changmin-ah.”
Your POV
“How’s our sister doing?” Yoochun oppa asked, I was seated between him and Jaejoong.
“I’m fine oppa.”
“Yunho pulled you out of work the moment he knew you were pregnant huh?” Jaejoong oppa asked.
“Yeah, he did.” I chuckled.
“He tends to spoil people he loves.” Yoochun nodded.
I looked up and saw Ailee coming. I excused myself and walked to her.
“Congratulations, Lee! Welcome to the family!” I said as I hugged her.
“Thanks. Are you taking care of yourself? You look a bit pale.”
“Don’t worry. The most important thing is, you’re engaged to my cousin already!”
“I know. Thank you.”
I just smiled and hugged her.
“Ya, ya, are you two forgetting me already?”
Of course, Khun oppa was invited. Well, it took a few days to persuade oppa to include him in the invite list.
“Who would?” Ailee said.
Yunho’s POV
“I used to run around here when I was really young.” Soomin said as she sat on the veranda. She was referring to the wide garden in front of us.
“We’ll have our own child run around there too.”
She smiled and looked up.
“I’ve been thinking about the will lately.” She said.
“Wae?”
“It’s been more than a year since we agreed to it, drastic things have happened.” She grinned.
“Hmm, yeah. Like how a large amount of shares were transferred to me in a rush and~”
She laughed and kissed my cheek.
“I became a….hmm…business tycoon’s a wife in a matter of weeks too.”
I smiled.
“Are you still thinking about helping that foundation?” I asked.
“Yeah, I asked Yoochun oppa earlier. He was fine with it; he’s willing to help too.”
I nodded.
“That’s good.”
Narrator’s POV
Everyone was enjoying the meal. Close friends and members of the family were invited to the engagement ceremony. Changmin and Ailee were both happy to talk to their guests.
The other cuple, Yunho and Soomin were also being congratulated, the elder Shim, haraboji had announced his granddaugther’s pregnancy.
“I want a male heir.” He stated bluntly. Soomin and Yunho laughed.
“We don’t know the gender yet, haraboji. But~”
“I think I would love to have a great granddaughter too and then she can be a doctor like you, or if you have a son, he can be like Yunho~”
“Haraboji, it’s too early.” Soomin smiled. The old man just looked away and walked to his other grandchild.
“This wont do, your sister refuses to listen to me.”
Ailee and Changmin looked at the Jungs. Yunho just grinned.
“You are getting married next month.”
Changmin looked confused. Ailee was shocked.
“Why?” Changmin asked.
“Ask your sister.” He grunted and walked away. Soomin and Yunho walked to the couple.
“What was that about?” Changmin asked.
“You wouldn’t want to know.” Yunho grinned and kissed Soomin’s cheek.
“Hyung, please not now.”
Soomin grinned.
“Oppa, you really need to get married this year, our child needs a playmate too.”
Ailee blinked and paled. Soomin stuck her tongue out.
A piece of paper changed their lives. If it weren’t for the will Yunho and Soomin would have never met. Soomin would still be living at California hiding herself and Yunho would have still been the same businessman. The mystery behind Soomin’s parents’ death would have never been solved. And Changmin would never meet the love of his life.
If it weren’t for the will, they wouldn’t be as happy as they are now.
The will changed their lives.
