Your POV

“We’re not even married yet and they’re bombarding us.” Yunho said.

I had to laugh at that. Then I felt someone looking at us-me. I looked up and saw a pair of brown eyes looking at me. Then he smiled.

“Oppa.”

Yunho stopped and looked at me.

“You know him?”

I nodded.

“Soomin-ah, can we talk?” He walked towards us.

Yunho was about to take his arm off but I stopped him.

“I’m sorry, we’re busy.”

“Just for a few minutes~”

“We have to go. We can talk….later.” I said as I made my way to Yunho’s car.

Yunho’s POV

Soomin sat down and buckled her seat belt.

“Is something wrong?” I asked. Her reaction earlier was off. Did she and that man have some sort of disagreement before?

“No, I’m okay.” I heard her take a deep breath.

“So, where are we choosing rings?” She asked.

“Eomma made an appointment in a jewelry shop at Times Square.”

She nodded. I remembered the way she tensed up earlier, she wouldn’t even let me go.

“How’s Hyoran-ssi doing?” She asked out of the blue.

“She’s doing well.”

“This must be disturbing her.” She said as she fiddled with the zipper of her bag.

“Well, yes it does. But I’m glad she understands.”

She nodded.

Narrator’s POV

The couple entered Times Square Mall together. Soomin placed her Louis Vuitton bag around her shoulder.

“Who was that man earlier? Someone you know?” Yunho asked.

“..Yeah, he’s an…acquaintance from California.”

Yunho nodded and they proceeded to the jewelry store.

“Nothing flashy, something temporary.” Soomin grinned before Yunho pushed the door for her.

“Really.” Yunho shook his head.

“You can even joke about that?”

“Well, would you rather I cry about the situation we’re in?” She kidded as they went in.

“Good point.”

“I know.”

“What design would you prefer, miss?” The saleslady asked. Yunho and Soomin were looking through the glass cases.

“Nothing flashy~”

Yunho looked at Soomin.

“~but shouts elegance.” Soomin grinned.

Your POV

“Seriously, sometimes you scare me with your odd choice of words.” Yunho said as we went out of the shop. We already had the rings prepared.

“Do you want me to speak in medical jargon then?”

He shook his head.

“Do you want eat? I’m hungry.” He said.

“That’s a good idea, I haven’t had breakfast yet.”

“What?!” He stopped walking and looked at his watch.

“It’s already 2:30 and you still haven’t eaten?”

I nodded.

“I was about to go for a swim earlier then eat after.” I shrugged.

He didn’t reply but he just took my hand and dragged us into the nearest restaurant.

Narrator’s POV

The couple sat down. Yunho was the one ordering the food while Soomin was reading the menu.

“I’ll just have a sandwich.” She said. Yunho gave her a nod. Then her phone rang. It was a video call from Ailee.

“Uhm, Lee now is not a good tie~”

“Ya~! I’ll be there by Saturday!” She squealed. People in the resto looked at her oddly. Yunho grinned.

“That’s good, I’ll come pick you up.”

“Are you out?” She asked while noticing the background.

“Yes and you just squealed like some five year old.”

“Are you with your husband?”

Soomin looked at Yunho once a bit flustered.

“Yes, and you’re ruining our perfectly fine day, now just call me later, okay?”

“Khun’s back.”

Soomin’s eyes widened.

“We will talk later.” She placed the phone down.

“Your friend knows?” Yunho asked.

“Yeah and I’m starting to think she knows too much.”

Hyoran was in Times Square with some of her friends together. They passed by the jewelry shop when she saw Yunho and Soomin exit the place. She noticed that the two were laughing.

“Look at that, such a perfect looking couple!” One of her friends said.

Her eyes widened when she saw Yunho held Soomin’s hand and went away. She flinched and looked away.

“It’s just for show.” She whispered to herself.
