Narrator’s POV

Yunho was driving his top down Porsche. He just listened as Soomin talked.

“Have you tried shopping me? I think you haven’t.”

“Not yet.” Yunho grinned.

“Then, to the Shilla we go!” Soomin grinned. She was wearing her relaxed look, high waisted denim shorts, a green corset type top and a long white cardigan.

“You’re not going to empty the mall, right?”

“Hmm, I’ll think about it.”

Yunho just watched her as they walked in the mall. Soomin was looking around with a smile on her face; she would occasionally pull Yunho in a store and ask him what she should buy.

They were inside Hermes when Yunho tapped her shoulder.

“Yeah?”

“I have something to get, will you stay here for a while?”

Soomin nodded and smiled. Yunho touched her nose once and he left. The salesladies giggled. Soomin sighed and sat on the leather seat. She looked at the red leather bag beside her, Yunho’s choice.

“Its more difficult than I think.” She whispered.

Yunho stepped in a jewelry store. He looked at the various display in the glass case.

“What can I help you with Sir?”

A silver necklace with an infinity pendant caught his eyes.

“Can, I take a look at that?” He pointed the necklace.

Yunho and Soomin went back to the car with their purchases. Yunho just smiled at her as she fastened her seatbelt.

“Where to now?” He asked.

“Hmm, I was surfing the Internet last night, there’s this park at Busan, can we drive there?”

Yunho’s POV

We arrived at Naru Park. Soomin took a deep breath as we walked inside.

“The flowers are so pretty.” She said. There it was, her smile. I like the way she would be pleased with simple things. Her eyes glistened in the sunlight. She was walking a few steps ahead of me, she didn’t mind the people who recognized her, and she just walked. Then she faced me.

“Do you want eat? I want to try street food.”

“Street food for the chaebol child?”

She just grinned and wrapped her arm around mine.

“Yeah, lets go.” She began pulling me towards the stalls. I saw a group of elderly women smiling at our direction. One of them mouthed,

“Don’t let her go, young man.”

I nodded. Soomin let go and looked at the food, then she scratched her head. Her eyes searched for me.

“Yunho, I don’t know what they’re called.” She said. I chuckled.

“Come here, I’ll choose the ones with a lot of chili paste.”

“Ya!”

I just grinned.

“Can I drive now?” She asked as we headed to the exit.

“Wae?”

“I want to, besides you’ve been driving the whole time.” She said as she got in the driver’s seat. I handed her the keys.

“Where do you want to go now?”

“King Sejong Square. I want to see the palace.”

I nodded. She started the car.

“Whats with you today? You’re so hyper.”

“Why, cant I hang out with you? I know you’ve been mentally….tired these days, so I thought you might need some….relaxation.” She replied.

How did this strong independent young woman capture my heart? She changed my opinion of chaebol daughters. She changed the way I see things. Her smile can brighten up my day. She’s a woman who doesn’t need my help and yet I learned to love her. She doesn’t show her weaknesses, but if you know her well, she shows it to you. Despite everything that happened to us, she’s still here with me.

Your POV

We arrived at the Square and I parked the car. Yunho got down. I fixed my hair and squared my shoulders. Then my phone beeped.

I left the documents and ticket at your house.  –Khun Oppa

I nodded to myself and got out the car.

“Well, this is it.” Yunho said with his hands in his pockets. I looked up, there were a lot of people walking around.  He took out his hand.

“Let’s go.” He said.

That smile, stop it. I bit my lip and placed my hand on his.

Narrator’s POV

They arrived home around 5 PM, Soomin changed into a pair of shorts and a white shirt. She headed down the kitchen and took out some ingredients. She began to slice some vegetables while preparing the other condiments.

“Soomin-ah?”

She looked up; Yunho was standing by the doorway.

“What~”

“I’m making dinner.” She replied. Yunho blinked. Then he smiled.

“Now, I don’t want anyone in my kitchen so out you go, Jung.” She playfully pushed him away. Yunho just pulled her back and kissed her forehead.

Soomin froze.

“Thanks.” Yunho said before leaving. Soomin went back to the kitchen table; she made sure that Yunho was already in his study that was when she leaned on the table. That was when her smiling face started to falter.

“I’ve done enough. I have to return everything to place.” She whispered.
