Narrator’s POV

 

Hyoran sat on the floor, with her legs huddled together. Her father had admitted his crimes. She was left alone at home. Tears continued to fall from her eyes. Guilt was eating her. She tormented Soomin but she didn’t know, her father had killed her family. Her family was on the news now. Her family’s name was stained.

“I’m so sorry….I didn’t know….”

 

Yunho arrived at their house and went up. He stormed in Soomin’s room and found her books still there, he sighed in relief, and then he noticed that he closet was open. Her clothes were gone. His stomach tied in knots.

He went to his room while trying to contact Soomin. Then he noticed an envelope on his table.

“I didn’t see this.” He said as he placed his phone down, then he opened the envelope.

His eyes widened in shock as he read the papers. His heart broke into pieces when he saw Soomin’s signature on the end.

“Soomin….why?”

He sat on his chair and he closed his eyes briefly. Then he started to push all of the things on the table. Glass figurines broke, his laptop landed on floor with a crack and their wedding picture landed on the cold floor. He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and in……pain.

He saw a note stuck on the envelope.

I’m sorry, be happy, for me. I’m signing off as Mrs. Jung.

Sign this for me, okay? Take care Yunho.

Tears started to fall from his eyes as he crumpled the sheet of paper.

“How can you ask me to be happy?!”

“I love you.”

He placed the divorce papers down and opened his drawer. He took out the necklace he had bought earlier.

“I need you back, Soomin.”

 

 

Changmin walked in Yunho’s office, it has been twenty-four hours since Soomin left.

“Hyung, I know where she went.” He said as he placed a set of photos on his table. Yunho wasn’t facing him.

“I’ll be at the conference room in a few. You can go ahead.” Yunho said. Changmin’s brows furrowed.

“Hyung, Soomin, she~”

“Just go.”

Changmin went out of the room. Yunho turned to his table. He looked at the photos on his table.

He grimaced as he saw them. He dropped them harshly on the table and went out of his office.

“In the end, you still choose him.”

Those pictures were taken at the airport. Soomin was with Khun.

 

Soomin arrived at her home. She pulled out the curtains and the white cloths that covered her furniture. She took a deep breath.

“I’m back.” She said.

Khun looked at her worriedly as he helped her with the bags.

“Are you okay?”

“No. But I have to be.”

Khun frowned.

“I know you want to be alone. I’m leaving.”

Soomin nodded and hugged him.

“Thank you, oppa.”

Khun nodded and went out of the house.

As soon as Khun’s car left that was when Soo broke down. Her tears started to flow endlessly. All the emotions that she had kept inside went out. The pain she felt for her parents, the anger she has for Lee Pyungshil, the guilt she felt for leaving and….the pain for leaving Yunho.

“But I have to do it, you love her. I can’t change that. I’m just the temporary wife.”

She looked around her; her cheeks were wet.

“I love you, that’s why I’m letting you go.”

She looked at her red bag. Yunho had chosen it for her.

“At least I got to spend one last day with you and made you smile. Because of me, you had to suffer so much. I hope you’ll be happy, you have to be.”
