Your POV

I was still putting up my clothes when I heard the doorbell. I sighed. Then the doors opened.

“You!”

I turned and found Ailee pointing her finger at me.

“Don’t ask,  Khun oppa called me.” She said. I turned back to my closet.

“Soo, why?”

“Can…we not talk about it?”

I heard her sigh.

“I saw the news, I’m sorry I wasn’t there.”

I shrugged.

“I still cant believe it was her father, it’s like….fate played you three.”

“It was never supposed to happen, I shouldn’t have come home.”

“If you didn’t you wouldn’t have met him.”

“That’s the point Lee, that’s why I regret listening to my grandfather.”

“No, you don’t get it. If it weren’t for him you’d still breakdown when it rains, because of him you started to show feelings.”

I looked away. Tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

“He helped you in so many ways. When I was there, you were constantly smiling when you’re talking with him.”

“What are you trying to say? I have to come back and see~”

“You left him. And you’re hurting.” She replied.

“I left him because he was hurting because of me! He couldn’t be at Hyoran’s side when she needed him!” I felt tears fall from my eyes.

“You’re wrong.”

Narrator’s POV

“He doesn’t need Hyoran, not anymore.” Ailee said.

“Lee, what are you saying~”

“You know what, Shim Soomin, I give up! You’re….so dense!”

Soomin went inside her walk-in closet without a word. Ailee raised her hands in expasparation and lay flat on the couch.

“He loves you, you dimwit!” She muttered to the pillow.

Yunho was out with his friends. Junsu’s company had opened a new mall branch and they were all invited to the opening. Yunho sat down quietly. The rumors had died down and people were starting to wonder where the Mrs. Jung had gone. In truth, Yunho hadn’t signed the papers. He didn’t want to.

His friends observed him all through at the event. Yunho would nod and smile of someone talked to him, but his eyes remained blank, empty.

Then a young lady with shoulder length hair passed by, Yunho looked up.

He was half expecting that it was she, but of course, it wasn’t Soomin. Changmin frowned and looked away. Ailee had been keeping him on tab about his cousin.

“This won’t do, hyung. If we just let this be, Jung Automobile might fall too.” Changmin said. Jaejoong nodded.

“He needs a little push that’s it. He still thinks that Soomin went to Nichkhun.” Junsu nodded.

“Just let him be, I’m sure he’ll move soon.” Yoochun replied.

“But~”

“Trust me on this one, Yunho’s smart enough to figure it out. And we have Ailee-ssi too I’m sure she’ll do something.”

Yunho arrived home; he took off his black coat and leaned on the railings of the veranda. He sighed, the house was empty.

He remembered all the smiles they shared. At first he thought that Soomin was an indifferent person. She barely showed any emotion but as time passed she started to to share things. Yunho was happy when she opened up about the problems she had with her phobia and the investigation.

She was also one of the strongest women he knew. He never saw her cry. But he could see all the emotions in her eyes. She might smile a lot, but she keeps her sadness inside of her.

Yunho ran his fingers through his hair.

His phone beeped.

Soomin didn’t leave because of Nickhun she left because of you. She thought that you still loved Hyoran. I know this might be nosy of me but I don’t want to see you two regret everything.  –Ailee

Yunho looked up, then he dialed Jaejoong’s number.

“Oh, Yunho-yah, wae?”

“Can you schedule me the earliest flight to California?”
