(L.Joe's POV)

"Come on Chunji." I sighed impatiently.

"Heir. To Kim Corps." I dropped my phone.

"That was Mr. Kim's, our new business partners', son." I suddenly remembered Mrs. Baek's words.

"L.Joe? You there? Hey, L.Joe? Yah!" I heard Chunji shout into the phone. I picked it back up, "I-I'll call you later." I pressed the end button before he could say anything and stared at ___'s mansion.

*Of all people, seriously?* I ruffled my head and drove into the shadows. An hour later, the Kim's came out. L's parents got into one car and L got into his. I made a U-turn and quickly followed behind.

"Why didn't I know this before?" I muttered as I made the last turn into L's estate. I watched as L's parent's car drove into their driveway beyond the brick wall. L stopped before the turn. He got out and stretched for a bit, then turned around. I got out of the car knowing I was caught.

"Stalking me, huh, L.Joe?" L smirked. I glared at his lit up face in the moonlight, "Smart as ever bastard." I sneered.

"Why thank you." His look didn't falter, "Didn't know this about me, did you?" I clenched my fists as I punched myself mentally for being so stupid.

"How could I know if you kept this secret from the world?" I calmed down a bit, "I thought you would snoop around to find out more about me." L challenged.

"That would mean I was interested. I wouldn't want to waste my time on some useless ." I gave him a smirk of my own, "Did your parents not want their reputations ruined by their bastard of a son? Hm? Is that why you kept this a secret?" I gestured to our surroundings.

"L.Joe, when you dye your hair brown? It suits you. I wonder what it'll look like in red!" L charged towards me as my body pumped adrenaline through my veins.

His fist came in contact with my jaw and my fits quickly pounded into his guts. We both got pushed back a few feet but recovered in record time. Kicks were given, punches were delivered, lips were busted, bruises were made.

L and I both had our fists in the air when we heard the distinct ringing of whistles. L let go of my collar and pushed me away, "This isn't over. Remember my warning." He huffed and hopped into his car. I scoffed and got into mine. I pulled out of the bastard's property before security arrived at the scene.

Before leaving the estate, I took note of the street name and mailbox number. I saved the address into my GPS and zoomed away.

I looked at my busted lip through my rear-view mirror, "Aish." I wiped away the blood and reverted my eyes onto the road.

*___, I'll protect you no matter what.* With only that thought in mind, I sped off to ___'s house again.
