Chapter 5: New Encounter

Lu Han's POV

It was still raining out, good thing someone lend me their umbrella since I had cram school at night too. 

"Okay class dismissed" the teacher announced. I shoved my books inside my bag and startingly, a group of girls surrounded my desk, holding their phones and cameras with them. 

"Lu Han oppa! can we take a picture with you?" One girl said who looked like she was wearing too much makeup. 

I turned them down, straightforwardly and of course they kept on hanging around even though I brushed them away several times before.

"Oppa, If you keep walking away it would just make us want you more!"

We were already outside of the school and they still kept on following me. I did not look at them and just continued walking in the rain, God, these girls are so annoying. 

I already arrived infront of my house and went in without hesitation, I didn't want to deal with girls anymore. Good thing those girls weren't from my school, or else I might have to beg to my parents to move back to China. 

As I came inside the front door, I noticed the shoes in the corner but I didn't mind, probably it was Mama's friends from the fish market.

"I'm home!"

I hear a group of people talking and the sizzling sound of frying, I followed the aroma of the food being cooked. Then as soon as I stepped in the dinning room a family of petite people bowed and greeted me. 

"Annyeonghaseyo!" they all lifted their upper half at the same time and Right then, I recognized the girl in between the two adults. 

It was the same girl who I bumped into in the hallways and who lent her umbrella to me. Since in my spare time, the school's comittee assigned me to be the hall monitor, I usually see her there. she would always be picking up trash there and be in charge of sweeping the open grounds. 

"Oh. Your umbrella" I blurted. Her eyes were rounded out and Mama suddenly grabbed my shoulder "You two know each other?!" she said excitedly. 

"I-I know L-Lu Han sunbaenim, my friends and I talk about him quite often" she said in a very low voice. She suddenly widened her eyes again "I m-mean we don't talk about him every single day, it's just he's widely known at school, sometimes my friends can't control how much they like him and--"

"Okay, dear, we get it" I'm guessing that was her mother who said it. 

"Well why don't we introduce ourselves to each other" Mama said. "This is Mr and Mrs. Yoo"

The two adults infront of me bowed again, and I bowed back. Mama suddenly pulled the girl in the middle closer towards me, I was looking down to her while her eyes were at the floor.  "This is _____, she's pretty isn't she?"

Sure. I guess, but she doesn't have that extravagant beauty, like I would care. I don't really know how to judge a girl's appearance. I smiled at the family and bowed one last time "I'm Lu Han" I said.

After the introductions between the Yoos, we eventually moved in the table, eating dinner as the adults were chatting. I turned to look at my sister, who was just playing with her rice. She slowly looked at me and rolled her eyes then. 

I glanced to ______, she was watching the adults talk, sometimes joining in and sometimes I catch her looking my way but when I turn to look at her, she turns away.

"So, are you two in the same grade?" Mrs.Yoo asked, smiling widely at me. 

"No, umma. Obviously Lu Han sunbaenim's older" 

Mrs. Yoo, who was across me, looked quite displeased, her expression was a bit childish too. It almost reminds me of how my mom reacts sometimes. "Lu Han's actually graduating soon right?"

"Yes" I said as I was chewing on a peice of beef, covering my mouth with my hand.

"Wow, he looks so baby faced!" Mrs. Yoo said in a very loud voice. "If only I was younger, I would marry Lu Han instead" she said, giggling.

Mr. Yoo, glanced at me, laughing as if he was embarrassed of his own wife "Yeobo, let's not go that far, okay?" Mr. Yoo said.

Throughout dinner, all we did was talk. Basically.

While the adults were in the living room, _____, Mei and I were playing Monoply, it's so much fun.

not.

I personally didn't enjoy their company, well, who would? especially when your mother teases you to date a girl who's probably 3 years younger than you, making you seem like a e. No thanks.

The fact that this girl doesn't even try to get rid of the awkward atmosphere, I mean, I get it, it's the first time we actually met, I get how awkward first meetings are.

But don't girls often approach guys? since that's what usually happens to me, girls approach me, talk to me a lot.

this was the first girl I met who doesn't even make eye contact when I tell her "it's your turn" and she just says "okay". 

Though I still remember the time when she bumped into me in the hallways and said "angel" or "he's so.." I don't even remember, that was the only time when we made eye contact.

"_____!" I heard Mrs. Yoo's shout, calling for her daughter "We're heading home now" she said.

"Alright!" She said, putting on her sweater, slightly waving at Mei and once again, didn't even look at me. "Bye _____" Mei said

"Bye Mei" she went ahead afterwards and I heard her say bye to Mama as well.

That was rude of her. She didn't even say bye to her sunbae.
