Chapter 24: That's Nothing

____'s POV

"Are you two dating or not?" 

"Yes we are" 

it took a long time for me to process his answer. I couldn't believe it. why would he answer that? we're not even going out.

Yet suprisingly enough, the girls didn't move an inch

His arms were still wrapped around me, as if he was a human shield. Half of my face was burried into his chest, and though my body was in a lot of pain, his warmth was the best feeling, like you're completely protected. 

The girls were out of words and the pretty just blew out a cocky laugh. "Lu Han oppa. You really have NO taste in women" she said as her face was completely flustered. Her eyes were pink and watery, like she was fighting to prevent herself from crying.

Lu Han just looked at them with amusement. He grabbed the back of my legs and immediately carried me that I yelped.

We walked away from the girls, leaving them dumbfounded. Lu Han had his pokerface on again, without saying a word, he turned towards me direction and looked at me curiously "Gwaenchanhi? (are you okay?)"

I nodded and looked somewhere else. As he was carrying me, it was starting to feel awkward.

Of course, a guy who's carrying you in this kind of style isn't too normal. People who passed by kept on looking to our direction but Lu Han didn't act like he minded. 

"You can put me down now" I said in a low voice.

"It's okay, you're not that heavy"

"That's not what I meant" I gritted my teeth "We're making people look at us!" And yet he didn't care. I kept on struggling to make him put me down, he was too stubborn to let go.

"Lu Han sunbae! It's fine! You can put me down!"finally he putted me down, but then he began to drag me this time.

We headed to the pharmacy and he bought a lot of medicine. Most of the medicine he picked up were so unfamiliar it seemed like it was poison or something.

 Afterwards, we sat down at a bench by a bus stop. He was taking out the things that we bought and looking through them one by one

"Roll your sleeves up" 

"Oh-uh. O-okay" I was a little bit nervous again, I had a feeling that he's going to give me another lecture.

He gently patted the ointment on my skin, but it still stung. Then he lightly blew on it and made the irritation less painful  "Have your parents even notice your bruises and cuts?" he suddenly asked.

"Yeah" I sighed and my eyes shot down to where his hand was and watched him apply medicine on another bruise "but I just tell them that these are all from accidents"

When I looked up, his face was so close from touching mine "hold still" he said. My heart stopped when his warm breath reached my cheek, I quickly lowered my head, hugging my stomach as butterflies took over it. It felt so uncomfortable but good at the same time.

"Yah! I said.." he cupped my face and forcefully lifted it up, making our eyes meet. "Hold still!" 

I was stoned. He was patting ointment on the side of my lip and the spot where he was touching left a tingly feeling. I held in my breath, unknowingly how to position myself in any way.

Theb he dusted off his hands and lastly pasted in a hello kitty band aid on the side of my lip to finish it off. "K you're done"

"Thankyou" I said.

He nodded once with an irritated expression on his face and stood up from the bench. His eyes wandered around the streets and then looked at me again. 

"C'mon, let's go get something to eat" he proposed.

Later on, we ended up at a dark and small alley way, I clearly haven't been to this place. "Are you sure there's shops here? it looks dead here" I whispered.

"Be quiet" he hissed. He came in the small doorway, it was the only place that was bright and was less scary. I followed him in and saw traditional furnishings inside the shop, it was quite pretty.

There wasn't that much people inside the shop, it was only an ahjusshi watching tv by himself..

"Annyeonghaseyo~" Lu Han cheered. The old man greeted him with a welcoming hug "Yah. It's the pretty boy again!" he said in a loud voice, patting his back.

Well they seem close.

"What can I get ya two love birds?" My eyes grew when he suddenly said 'love birds', I was right about to defend myself when Lu Han's reply was just "Kimchi ramyun".

I was just getting excited for nothing. Then the man's gaze shifted to me beaming a very wide smile "And for you little miss?"

"Oh.. what he ordered"

"Alright then, just relax for now, and I'll be back with your order." The ajusshi jotted some things down on his mini paper pad and quickly walked his way to the kitchen.

Lu Han and I sat by the counter, waiting for our food. Lu Han was busy watching the news while I was on my phone, playing games.

"Maybe, you should call your umma" he suggested.

"Oh o-okay" I punched in my umma's number then pressed 'call' and waited for the line to be connected.

"Hello?" Umma finally answered "____-ah? where are you?"

I scanned through the place we were at, looking for the name of the ramyun shop. "We're at this Ramyun shop..."  

"We're.. who are you with?!" umma suddenly screamed. I held the phone a little farther away from my ear and just turned it on loud speaker.

"Umma, I'm with Lu Han sunbae" I shouted back.

Lu Han sunbae suddenly tapped my shoulder, when I turned to look at him, he wiggled his finger as he was asking to talk to my umma.

I handed him the phone. He cleared his throat before he spoke

"Good evening Mrs. Yoo"

"Oh Lu Han ah! Good evening~"

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, Umma suddenly turns nice when she talked to him. "If you don't mind, Mrs. Yoo, ____ and I are just eating out, then we'll head back after we're done"

"No worries! just come back before 11" she said in a happy tone.

"ne" He hanged  up and gave the phone back.

Right then, our ramyuns came exactly after our conversation with my mother. The man placed the ramyun on the tables, he smiled one last time and left us to go to his kitchen.

Meanwhile, eating at a quiet place wasn't that comfortable, it was so awkward (such a repetative word) that the only thing we can hear was the tv.

I kept on stealing glances at him and he was nearly finished his ramyun and I was not even half way done.

As he was slurping on noodles, he slowly turns his head to my direction and furrowed his eyebrows. "Meoggo (eat)" he mouthed. I smiled nervously and did what he said.

After eating

It was quiet as usual. Well there wasn't really anything to talk about. Yet, all could think about was why did he say that? Why did he say that?!

I need a clear answer.

He was walking ahead of me, with his usual pose, hands on his pockets and a straight face on. I pursed my lips and took in some courage to ask him something in curiousity. "Lu Han Sunbae" "What" he said sharply.

"Why did you tell them that..."

"That. what"

"that.. we're d-dating"

He paused and just stayed quiet for a moment, then he stopped walking. "Don't think that I like you" he said bluntly.

I nodded to the real fact. "I know" I said. He wasn't looking at me directly but his eyes were glued to the ground "It j-just slipped" he stuttered and shook his head and continued to walk ahead, he didn't even explain any further, I still couldn't understand.
