Chapter 3

My Perfect Boyfriend

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO OUR LU HAN. This guy will never age. LOL

Chapter 3: Calming rain

Krystal dropped off all the important papers to each respected homerooms. As there was still 15 minutes or so till lunch break is done, she decided to go back to her homeroom instead of looking for her friends.

The room was quiet. Although, as soon as she enters, she discovers Lu Han sitting on one desk, flipping through a thick history book.

"Welcome back" Lu Han said with his eyes remained glued at the book he was reading.

"Thanks" She said bluntly "What are you reading there?" she went up to his desk, looking down to see the book in his hands.

"It's about world war ll"

"Oh, you really like history books eh?" She said.

Though she tried to initiate conversation, Lu Han didn't seem to be the type of person to follow through a conversation starter. It just happened to be really awkward in the room afterwards.

Suddenly, the cold breeze flew inside the room; Krystal looked up in the sky and raised her hand through the window. Little droplets of water landed on her palms as the sky had developed to become darker as time passed.

"It seems like it's going to rain today" she tried to talk to him again.

No response.

It suddenly reminded her of Junior high; when she confessed to Lu Han.

Krystal was completely aware of the fact that she was popular among boys and girls. However, given the choice of guys lining up to confess to her, she could only put her interest in one guy; Lu Han.

So, she was one of his suitors too, she even took the courage to simply tell him how she feels; however, in the end, she was still rejected. Many were in shock of the fact that the girl who acted upon perfection had been rejected by the guy who possessed the  same vibe as her.

In an instant everyone had lost their hope. Everyone thought that Lu Han was too good for Krystal. So, it became definitely awkward. Though, Lu Han and Krystal managed to not think about that anymore. They became comfortable talking to each other since they were both from the School's committee.

She turned around to see the boy, still engrossed in reading his book

"I wonder if that freshmen girl is actually going to confess to him, nobody had confessed to him for so long." she muttered to herself.

"I change my mind! I'm not going to confess"

Hana started shaking your shoulders violently "We already agreed to this ! Why are you backing out?!" she screamed.

You felt something wet from the side of your left eye, which came from Hana's mouth; and slowly you wiped it with disgust.

"Can you do me a favour and not shower me with your saliva" you said.

She covered with both hands "sorry, I have braces" she mumbled.

Ji Eun finally stepped in and came right up at your face, while gently holding on to your shoulders

"But ______, this would be perfect! I heard that he hasn't received any confessions over 4 years now. this is a big deal and you must not back out now. everyone knows about it"

"Too bad for them. I just did–" You turned your back at them and faced the window. You noticed the skies were getting gloomy "Oh my God, is it going to rain?!" you sat up from your chair and took your hand out through the window and felt the drops of water on your palms.

"Well, the weather's bipolar" Hana scoffed.

Afternoon classes finally started and you were actually paying attention to the class lessons this time since it was home economics.

The whole class was watching a documentary about fast foods. Just watching people eat greasy foods made you gag from disgust.

You checked out on Ji Eun and Hana. The two were laughing without any sounds from their  mouth "Yah" you whispered loudly. "What are you guys laughing about?"

The two looked away and pretended to ignore you "Remember that guy, he was funny right?" Hana looked at you then to Ji Eun, continuously laughing.

"Why aren't you talking to me" You slapped Hana's knee and she acted like nothing happened.

When the video was done, you were assigned to do a little quiz on it.

Everyone was quiet and focused, but Hana and Ji Eun's silent laughters bothered you so much,

"Seriously, what's funny?" you leaned closer.

However, all of the sudden, the teacher was right in front of you.

"_____-ssi!"

Because of your friends, you got in trouble for no reason and you were kicked out of the room.

You had to wait until the clock hits at 3:35 pm so you can continue the quiz.

"Damnit! Hana and Ji Eun, you guys got me in trouble" you mumbled to yourself. There was exactly 5 minutes left till schools over, while you waited you watched the raindrops falling one by one which calmed you down.

All of the sudden, the bell rang.

It was finally time to go home

While everyone was packing up their things and then left, Krystal waited for Lu Han at the doorway to discuss about the club activities.

When Lu Han was set to go, He noticed Krystal as she was at the doorway waiting

"Do you mind if we a mini conference between the two of us?" she asked.

Lu Han agreed to it, though he really wasn't excited about it. Both of them headed down to the library. While walking through the hallways, everyone was astounded by the sight of them together, since it was quite unusual to see. Everyone thought that Krystal and Lu Han actually look good together as a couple.

They had a lot of similarities. their popularity, school ranking and their cold attitude towards the opposite . They were a match made in heaven.

"Is this going to take long?" he asked.

Krystal shook her head and opened the Library's door for him.

"Thanks" he said and went right away in.

As Krystal was walking farther away from the door, she moved in closer to Lu Han "This isn't going to take long, I just need help for the organizations for the schedule of activities  for next week" She lied. It was just an excuse to be alone with him.

Krystal handed him her notebook and just gave him the freedom to do whatever.

As he was looking through the notes, she gazed at him and couldn't help but to giggle since the two of them were the only people at the library.

"Well, it seems fine to me" he said, handing back the notebook

"The organization for the activities, it isn't too complicated, you can actually do whatever you want" he stood up from the chair, fixing his bag to his shoulder and getting ready to take off. "You don't really need my help after all"

Krystal stood up as well "so you're leaving?"

"Yup. Goodbye"

"Okay.. Bye" she waved, watching Lu Han just as he left the library.

Meanwhile, at the home economics room, right about done with the quiz. When you finished, you gave it to the teacher, bowed and went to your locker.

It was still raining very hard; luckily, you had a spare umbrella inside your locker.

It was 4:05 pm, not that much people were at the school anymore. As you were heading out of the building, there was a familiar looking guy  with his arms crossed — slightly trembling from the wind.

Without any hesitation, you approached him.

"Excuse me, do you have an umbrella?" you said, sort of shouting because of the sound of water splashing.

He turned to you and your eyes widened "No, I don't" he said.

You couldn't believe it, it was the first time you ever talked to him and plus the two of you were practically alone. "H-H-How about sharing this?" you offered him your umbrella.

"It's fine you can go ahead if you want"

"No! I-I insist!"

The two of you shared the umbrella in the end .

It was covered more of his head while half your shoulder was completely soaked. As the two of you were walking, you were surrounded by a really awkward atmosphere. You looked at him the whole time; he was shaking like a wet cat.

"Sunbae.. A-Are you cold?"

he shook his head but at the same time his teeth was chattering.

"Uhmm can you hold this" you gave him the umbrella while you searched inside your bag.

You took out your scarf and was about to wrap it around his neck but he took the scarf from you "it’s fine, I can do it"

After he wrapped it around his neck, he glanced at you. He wondered why you were so helpful to someone you didn't even know; to him it was strange.

"Thank you" he said

At last, you finally arrived at your house. You were completely wet, as if you took a shower with your clothes on. You bowed to Lu Han and said your goodbyes

“Wait!" Lu Han called "Your umbrella" You waved your hands and insisted him to use it until he gets home safely. Since it was still raining hard, you didn't want him to end up sick.

"You'll probably don't want to see me at school, so you can have it"

Chapter 56: I liked the end of the story. The degree of attachment they had to eachother was very realistic. The were genuine, but not lovesick puppies.

Chapter 56: It's an open ending. I have mixed emotions while reading this. At times, I'd find 'me' amusing. If I'm to be in her shoe, I won't have the courage to confess, not even a tad bit. I like how the story flows, you did an excellent job. /salute
