Chapter 14 : Soup by Lu Han

When the two of you had finally arrived at the Lu's residence.

Lu Han welcomed you in.

He lead you upstairs to his room. As soon as he opened the door, your eyes grew larger as you were surprised of how organized his room was -- maybe even more organized than yours. 

"You can lie down on that bed for now" he pointed at his bed "it might be too much for you since its my bed. but we don't really have any other alternatives"

"No. No. it's fine, I like this" You said, waving your hands. Lu Han stared at you, making it seem like you said something wrong.

"OH!  I didn't mean it that way! I'm just---" You then, started coughing again. Lu Han placed his palms on your back, slightly pushing you forward towards his bed. "Just rest" he said and walked back to the doorway. 

Before he could open the door, he turned around to face you again

"Oh.. and don't talk" he said then walked out of the room.

When you were finally alone in his room, you crawled in his bed, tucking yourself in his bed comforter.

You rolled to the other side, impulsively smelling a foreign scent. You inhaled the aroma completely, cause your heart to flutter knowing that it came from Lu Han.

"I can't believe that I'm laying on the same bed where Lu Han always sleeps in" You thought to yourself and giggled silently.

Hesitantly, you wrapped your arms around around the pillow laying beside you. You were so nervous because it was as if you were about to hold Lu Han. 

As you had comfortably embraced the soft pillows, in an instant, you were knocked out.

     Meanwhile, Lu Han was downstairs, preparing food for you. Soon after he finished, hecame straight to his room to check how you were doing.

Lu Han saw you hugging his pillow as you were sleeping rather snugly.

He placed his palms on your forehead to check your temperature.

It was still warm. 

He sighed and then placed the tray of food on his studying table. He sat down on his mini coach across the bed you were sleeping at. He squinted at you as he heard the weird sounds that you make as you were sleeping. At that moment, you started to cough again.

Lu Han naturally stood up from his seat, but then you eventually stopped and thenrolled to another position, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. Lu Han's lips had formed into a small smile. he shook his head as he sat back down.

Moments later, your eyes fluttered open. You slapped your palms on your forehead and yet still felt heavy and sluggish, and now your nose was also clogged up, it wasn't easy to breathe anymore.

You pushed yourself to sit up properly and then touched your face to check for any spots of dried saliva.

"you were snoring really loud" You turned around to where the voice came from.

You flinched when you saw the guy across the bed, holding a book with his legs crossed. He was already changed into normal clothes which made him look more slimmer. "What are you looking at?" he said without flunctuation.

You blinked multiple times and realized that you were staring at him "Nothing" you mumbled then looked around the room and noticed how the room had gotten darker. "What time is it?"

"It's 5" he said while he was still reading "Are you hungry?" You laid down on the bed again "No" you said.

He closed his book and walked towards you "Well, I already prepared soup for you. You might as well eat" he said, looking down at you.

"It's fine thank--"

"No" He came out of the room again and slammed the door closed. "Okay.." you said, tilting your head in confusion.

Later on, he came back in the room, holding a tray, it had the soup that he was talking about, water, and some medicine tablets."You have to eat so you can take the medicine" he sat down on the edge of the bed and he was holding the soup.

You sat up and just looked at him."Here" he dipped the spoon in the soup and scoop a spoonful of it, as the spoon was coming towards you, you became even more flustered "Ah..it's okay! You don't--"

"Come on! I placed so much effort in this soup!" You bit your lip and then just opened your mouth.

As soon as you gulped in the soup, you felt your throat becoming less itchy plus the taste wasn't bad and even though you weren't hungry, you still wanted him to feed you.

"is it good?"

You nodded

"Thankyou" you said. Looking at how he was taking care of you made you feel so.. happy.

Things like this actually happen in real life? you thought. If only Lu Han sunbae can take care of me until I get better.

"It's nothing, when I moved here in Korea my roommates used to get sick a lot, so I was always in charge of taking care of them "

"Oh really? that must be fun"

He flashed a smile "Yeah.. that's why I know how the procedure works"

That's another smile you thought, stunned by his expression. It was the second time you've seen him smile and it was beamed at you, directly.

"You okay?" he asked and looked like he was searching something on your face. "Oh!" you snapped out "it's nothing"

"okay" Lu Han sighed "How did you end up getting sick anyway? you seemed fine last night"

"I went to my friend, Hana's coffee shop and I accidently drank someone elses cup"

"tch" he scoffed "Pabo"

Right then, someone barged in the room, interrupting your conversation "Oh Lu Han!" it was Mrs. Lu and her eyes shifted at you "Oh! ____, I heard that you're sick"

You cleared your throat and sat up "yeah" "I called your umma as soon as I heard from Lu Han"

then she looked at Lu Han without her normal happy expression "Were you taking care of her?!"

"Oh he was. is Umma home?"

"Yup, your umma and I came home together"  

"Oh really? well.. I'll head home now then" You got off of Lu Han's bed and bowed at him "Thank you"

and then bowed at Mrs. Lu "I'll be going now"

Before you could leave, Lu Han grabbed your wrist "I'll walk you home"

"You could've stayed longer if you wanted to" He said, holding your bag as he was walking at the same pace as you.

"I already slept at your house. That already helped me a whole lot, and I just realized that I had my keys inside my bag"

"with or without it, Mama wouldn't want me to let you go alone"

"Thanks again, sunbae" you bowed and opened the gates "mm" He handed you your bag

"Bye" You smiled and closed the gates. As you were coming towards your doorways, you turned around one last time to check if he is already gone.

Although he was still there waiting for  you to go inside the house. While you were opening the door, you could still sense him watching you. You smiled to yourself and came inside the house.

Lu Han sighed and shoved his hands inside his pockets "I hope she didn't drool on my pillows" he mumbled to himself and walked back home.
