Chapter 34: Stress and Reminder

Afterschool, Lu Han was completely exhausted from classes and the school committee. Yet, his day wasn't done; Lu Han still had his night classes at his cram school.

For the past few weeks, he had been too busy that slowly his sleep lessened. 

As when he was still at his night class, little did he knew that his eyelids was getting heavier as seconds passed. With only 5 hours of sleep, he still forced himself to keep up with all the boundless work pilling up.

He has exams to worry about; organizing school events, researching for his upcoming presentation at his cram school and also adding to his schedule was to be with you during lunch time which he really didn't want to miss that time of the day. 

It was exactly 10 pm when his class ended. He dragged himself home, looking like his soul departed from his body.

As he came in the house, it was silent. His family was already gone for bed. Even though, he hasn't eaten all day, he didn't even bother anyway.

Lu Han just went straight to his room, collapsing onto his bed with his uniform on.

He was finally at ease, everything he was stressing about disappeared.

The darkness in his sleep suddenly faded into the scenery of the sky.  He found himself lying down at the grass, with his uniform on.

He slowly got up from the ground, rubbing his eyes and then turning his head from side to side, with his eyes squinted as he was searching.

Where am I? He thought and all of the sudden he hears a melodic sound that was played from a piano. He spun around and caught a sight of a really beautiful woman, dancing around in a tutu.

He came towards the young woman, as she was moving in unison with the song. She had fair skin, big brown eyes, red lips and jet black hair.

Lu Han was mesmerized for a moment, slowly coming towards her with his mouth opened from amazement. She then stopped moving and turned to face the boy.

As he gotten a better look of her face, his eyes bulged out when the face seemed so familiar to him. “Xin Yuan?!” A smile crept on her face and slowly caressed his jaw line “You’re still as handsome as before” she remarked.

Lu Han thought the same, she was still as beautiful as from the first moment he saw her. Xin Yuan continued running her hands on his face, scaring Lu Han a bit. "W-what do you want?" he brushed her hand away and slowly taking steps back.

The beautiful Xin Yuan was so mesmerizing and yet terrifying. The shimmer of her eyes dimmed out as her gaze intensified.

For every step that Lu Han took the girl followed him "You may look like angel, Lu Han, but you look really disgusting underneath. You don't deserve to have your face" She smirked.

The boy was stunned by her words, he actually felt that way and it battered him somehow. People expect too high and then end up getting disappointed in the end.

Lu Han was the type of person who would would love a person deeply if he had special feelings.

He loved Xin Yuan very much, not just her face but it was her everything. But the girl didn't feel the same, Lu Han knew that she was only infatuated and yet he didn't give up on her. 

"You're nothing without your face. You're just an and a sissy nerd" Lu Han really wanted to say something back but somehow, he couldn't. He believed that everything that his ex girlfriend said was true.

I only get noticed because I have the face, they would love me but they would never understand me.  he thought to himself. All girls are the same.

" Xin Yuan" He blurted out and found himself on his bed again. Lu Han was panting, realizing that he had another dream about his first love.

It was 3 am then.

Little sweats trickled down his forehead and he walked down to the bathroom to calm himself. Turning on the faucet, while it was running with cold water, he splashed his face and stared at himself in the mirror as water dripped down the point of his chin.

It wasn't a nightmare,  but it made him mad. He was sick of the reminder.

The pain of loving someone and the reason why it ended.
