Hyun Ah's Arrival
Fated to Meet YouJun Hyung stood suspiciously at the streets as a car slowly turned through the driveway. His eyes lightened up seeing the car stop in front of them.
“Is that them?” asked Jun Hyung excitedly. They each came out of the car one by one, Hyun Ah, the last one. She slowly stood out of the car annoyed. Her hair sat in a ponytail bouncing on her shoulder with long bangs in her face. Jun Hyung’s face dropped at the sight with his eyes widened.
“Hi!” yelled Jun Hyung’s mother hugging each of them along with his father. “I’m so glad you guys made it!” she said excitedly. They took a glance at Jun Hyung and greeted him with hugs and Hyun Ah’s father with a handshake.
“You look dazzling.” Hyun Ah’s mother said staring at Jun Hyung. He nervously looked down with a smile. They all turned their glance to look at Hyun Ah who was walking towards them with her head down and her hands in her pockets.
“This is... Hyun Ah.” Her mother said. Hyun Ah stared at them with narrowing eyes. There was a long silence while they gazed at her up and down. She was wearing a striped t-shirt with an over-sized sweater and tight jeans with a pair of tiny converse. She had some eyeliner on with light black eye shadow and her bangs covering half her face.
“Wow... you’re so... grown up now.” Said Jun Hyung’s mother walking to hug her. Hyun Ah stayed still. “The last time we met... you were just a... little girl.” She said nervously. Jun Hyung’s father shook her tiny cold hands with a warm smile. Jun Hyung stared at her with a sour look and took a tiny step towards her.
“At first sight... and I... I realize that she doesn’t look safe to be with. She looks like someone who had killed a person before.” Jun Hyung thought staying where he was. He smiled and waved instead.
“Hi... I’m Yong Jun Hyung.” He said. She looked at him with an, ‘I don’t care’, expression and looked away instead.
“You think I wanna be friends huh?” thought Hyun Ah with a clever smile. “People like you... I don’t consider friends.” She thought glaring at Jun Hyung. She sighed and walked ahead towards the house without a word. Her parents stared at her back.
“I’m really thankful for all this... but I’m sorry that she’ll be a burden too.” Said Hyun Ah’s mother holding Jun Hyung’s mother’s hand.
“She’s a huge hassle and causes a lot of trouble. Most of the time she won’t be at home... so you have to look for her if you need something because we don’t know where she usually goes.” She said sadly. Jun Hyung’s mother slowly smiled. “Well... that's why she’s here right? Discipline.” Said Jun Hyung’s father with a nervous chuckle. Jun Hyung looked at Hyun Ah entering his home without a sound.
“Who does she think she is?” he said annoyed, quietly to himself. “I don’t like her already.”
