"Okay."

Minjeong blinked her eyes one time, two times, three... And four times- No. She didn't expect her confession will be this simple. She thought she would need to read the girl an essay to convince her to go out with her. She never imagined she would get an "okay" as soon as she confessed.

"Wait. Okay?" She asked again.

The girl looked at her with her poker face before she started packing her stuff. They were alone in a library cafe now so Minjeong got the courage to finally confess her feelings after having a crush on the girl for a whole year.

"I give you a permission to court me, to try and win my heart fully." 

"R-Really?" Minjeong asked with her wide eyes. 

"Yes, but..." 

She watches the other girl zipped up her bag before she finally paid her attention on Minjeong again and now she's crossing her arms. 

"But only if you agree with my deal." She continued. 

"What deal?" Minjeong asked. 

"You can take me out on a date once a week. Just once a week and I will free my Saturday for that."

"Uh, okay."

"Next, I don't want anyone to know about this."

"..."

"You can talk to me anytime, text and call me whenever you want. But not infront of anyone else."

"Okay..."

"We will still pretend that there's nothing going on between us. This will be a secret until I'm sure that you are a good person for me."

"Uh huh."

"And I give you 3 months max."

"Wait, what?"

"If you agree with everything I suggested then I will give you a chance to court me first."

Minjeong looked at her crush in disbelief. It's true what people said, Yoo Jimin is hard to please. Yes, that's right. The girl Minjeong likes is none other than the hottest volleyball captain in their university, one and only Yoo Jimin. 

"So, what do you say?" Jimin asked, still crossing her arms.

"How will I know if you will finally like me back?" Minjeong asked.

Brave. That's what Minjeong is to Jimin. Out of everyone who tries to court her, none of them are this brave enough. She knows Minjeong's good reputation and she knows that a lot of people likes Minjeong.

Minjeong is that smart student who's loved by everyone. She's pretty popular among her friends. She's the students favorite because she is that cool and funny substitute DJ in their university. She always filled in the empty spot whenever Ryujin, the university's official DJ cannot make it. She can sing too, which gains her more admirer. 

However, after her failed relationship, she can't be too sure anymore. She needs to make sure that she will not repeat the same mistakes in choosing her partner.

"I will come to you."

"Huh?"

"I said, I will come to you."

"You will?"

"Yes. I'm the type of person who will never hide my feelings once I know that I like someone, Kim Minjeong. So if ever you finally get to make me like you, I will come to you personally and I will let you know."

"Okay. I accept the deal. So, I have 3 months?"

"Max. Yes. If after 3 months, I still don't feel anything then you have to stop bothering me."

"Okay. I'm okay with that."

"Great. So you can start next week. I have to go now. Bye Kim."

Minjeong only sighed dreamily as she watched Jimin left. Only after Jimin disappeared from her sight that she realised she haven't got to ask the girl her number. 

". Stupid Minjeong." Minjeong slapped her forehead and groaned.

After 2 months.

Kim Minjeong was seen hanging around inside the DJ studio. She was slumping on the swivel chair while spinning around as her head rested on the headrest as she looks up at the ceiling.

"This is like the sixth times I heard you sigh. What's wrong?" Yeji asked, the one who's in charge of the DJ studio and make the schedule for Ryujin and Minjeong as the DJs.

"I like this girl, but she's so hard to get."

"Oh. You have someone you like."

Minjeong looked at a grinning Yeji before rolling her eyes.

"I do."

"Aw your admirers will be heartbroken."

"Shut up."

"Hahaha okay okay. So, have you tried to court her?"

"Yeah. 2 months already."

"Wait what. 2 months? How come none of us know about this?"

"That's because I'm keeping it a secret."

"Oh, being so secretive now are we?"

Minjeong chuckled and throw an empty paper to Yeji who laughed with her.

"Who is this lucky yet dumb girl who got your attention but playing hard to get with you?" Yeji asked.

"You wouldn't say she's dumb once you know who is she."

"Interesting. So who is she?"

"I can't tell you yet."

"What, why?"

"We have a deal."

"What deal?"

"That's... Only between us. Sorry."

"Hmm." Yeji tapped her chin with her finger while thinking.

"So you've been courting this person for 2 months. Did you go out with her, for a date?"

"Yeah."

"Did you talk to her everyday?"

"I did. I do. Yes."

"Did you treat her properly?"

"Please. I am Kim Minjeong, of course. I treat her as best as I can. I give her flowers, her favorite food, her favorite drinks and I always make sure to greet her every morning and night. I did everything already but I don't know... She's too hard to please."

"Wow. Never thought there will be a day where I get to witness you complaining about struggling to pursue a girl." Yeji chuckled.

"I am not complaining. I never regret anything. I'm just frustrated because..."

"Because?"

"I really like her, you know."

Yeji tried to observe Minjeong's face. She can tell that Minjeong is indeed, really like this girl that she's courting.

"Why don't you stop trying so hard?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, you said you did everything already. So why not, now, you stop trying so hard."

"And then what? She would thought I was just playing with her and not being serious."

"She wouldn't. Look, you are Kim Minjeong. You are loveable. I think, you should show her your honesty and sincerity instead of trying to impress her. Try to show her that you care about her by being yourself. You are a caring person, Minjeong. You are attentive too. That's the reason why people likes you. Be that same Kim Minjeong for her, but just... A special version for her. The side of you that you never been with anyone else but her."

"How?"

"That's for you to figure out. No one knows you better than yourself. Think of it. What do you think you will do if you really like this person? Without trying to impress her."

"Hmm. Okay."

"Okay? Once you figure it out, do tell me about it. Anyways..." Yeji checked her wristwatch and sighs.

"Seems like Ryujin is coming late again today. So, it's your time to shine now." Yeji added.

Minjeong laughed and nodded her head before going inside the DJ booth, taking a seat and wearing her headphone. She looked at the glass window and saw Yeji gave her a thumbs up while mouthing "It's on air" to her.

"Hello everyone. Good morning to you. Guess what? Uh huh, your actual favorite DJ is here! Yes yes, I know you guys miss me. Please let this be a secret, don't let Ryujin know or she will sulk."

Yeji laughed while shaking her head before sitting down to listen to Minjeong DJ-ing. 

​​​​​​"We will do a reading letter session later during lunch break, so feel free to drop your letters inside our Dropbox outside the studio room."

"I know it's a Monday but hey! Let me cheer you up with a song. How's that huh?" 

Though Minjeong can't see and hear what's happening outside, she knows the students were cheering for sure especially her friends. 

"That's my best friend! WOOHOOO!" Ning yelled and their other friends cheered as well.

Aeri who was with Jimin and their volleyball squad just laughed seeing the scene at the hallway. Ning have always been chaotic, especially when she's together with Ryujin. That's why Minjeong's circle of friends get the attention of the students there, for being the funniest group that never fails to entertain people with their antics.

"Seems like today's our lucky day to hear her sing after a long time." Aeri said.

Just then, they heard a sound of slow piano.

"Oh. It's starting!" Yuna clapped her hands in excitement while Jimin only hugged her books to her chest as she waited for Minjeong's voice to sing.

She only hummed yet the students squealed in glee already. Minjeong's singing the song in a slow version. 

 

She's indecisive, she can't decide...

There's a pause before they heard Minjeong's soft chuckles. 

 

"This is for you, girl." They heard her said before she continues to sing with the piano sound.

"That's just too sad, isn't it? You don't like the sad version?" Minjeong speaks again but the students at the hallway all yelled no and that they still like it. 

"Ah. Let me change it to the original version then. Enjoy~" 

Now they can heard the changes in the music, it turned into upbeat one now.

Just then, the students started to sing out loud along with Minjeong as they enjoyed the song. 

"Look at Minjeong's friends." Aeri laughed.

Ning Yizhuo is dancing playfully with Chaeryeong, Shuhua, Yuqi and Ryujin who finally just arrived.

"Shawty is a eenie meenie miney mo lover!!" Ryujin shouted and grinned before dashing off to get to the studio so Minjeong can rest already.

So that's how everyone start their morning.

"Slow down, Shin."

"I can't. I need to go in 10 minutes to read the letters."

Minjeong and her friends are now at the cafeteria, enjoying their lunch together. Minjeong was eating with one hand while her other hand is under her chin. She's eating like that as her eyes found where Jimin's at.

"So pretty." She mumbled and Yeji heard her. Yeji looked to where she's looking at.

"Okay gotta go! Bye guys!" Ryujin then jumped up and twirled herself around before giving a bow then leaving as the students laughed at her behaviour.

"We'll catch up soon!" Yeji yelled and Ryujin yelled back an 'okay!'.

"I don't want to." Minjeong pouted and looked at Yeji.

"Well, we have to."

"Ah waaaeee." Minjeong whined cutely.

"Because I want you to. Now finish your food faster, BABE."

Minjeong and Ning were choking as soon as they heard Yeji said that. Yeji glanced at Jimin's direction and smirked seeing the girl frowned.

"Yah. What's with you?" Minjeong asked and wipe .

"Hwang Yeji, are you perhaps, like my best friend?" Ning asked.

"Who knows." Yeji shrugged causing them all to gasp at her.

"Oh come on. So what if I like her, don't you think we look good together?" Yeji asked and hugged Minjeong's shoulder.

"No. We look weird together. Yah, move." Minjeong pushed her but Yeji just laughed and winked at Minjeong before letting her go. She glanced at a certain person again and smiled in satisfaction seeing the reaction that she want.

"Wah. The rumours spread right away after the scene at the cafeteria today." Yuna said.

Their last class has ended and now they're preparing to leave.

"Who would have thought that her friend will end up liking her." Aeri said.

"But again, it's Minjeong. I'm sure at least all of her friends had a crush on her before." Somi said this time.

"Right. Like you." Aeri teased while Somi only danced her body happily.

"It was just a happy crush but yes." Somi laughed.

"Let's go guys." Jimin said and stood up from her seat to leave their classroom.

Her friends were talking about other things now behind her while she walks at the front. When they reached the hallway, Jimin immediately noticed Minjeong with her other friends near her locker. They were joking around as always.

Minjeong can feel someone's staring so she looked around until she noticed Jimin's presence. This is their first time to share eyecontacts at uni. The first time Minjeong let herself stares at Jimin longer than she should. Also the first time Jimin tried to look at her way.

Minjeong looked down to type something on her phone and not long after that, Jimin received a notification. She checked her phone.

Jimin raised her eyebrows before she looked at Minjeong again. Minjeong was laughing with her friends but she did steal a glance at Jimin when she's looking and gave her a small smile secretly before she turned back to her friends. 

'cute' Jimin thought and kept her poker face to get to her locker.

She smiled to herself when she hides her face inside her locker as she pretend to be busy putting her books inside.

That wouldn't be the only time Minjeong will start to flirt with her face to face because something just shifted.

 

"Good morning, beautiful!" Jimin heard Minjeong's voice one fine day as she walked past by her with a wide grin on her face but she doesn't look at anyone specifically. The other students giggled while thinking that it's maybe for them.

 

"Strawberry or me. I bet I'm still the sweetest." Minjeong said, loud enough for Jimin to hear when she walked beside her while pretending to read her novel.

Jimin looked at her side and Minjeong was focusing on her novel.

"I am so into you. Hope you know." Minjeong mumbled then closed her novel before skipping happily, leaving Jimin behind.

 

"One shouldn't walk alone at this time. Its getting dark."

Jimin was studying until late at the library that she lost track of time. She was walking alone at the hallway when she heard Minjeong. 

"So, Saturday, usual time?" Minjeong asked but kept looking forward. 

"Yes." 

"Great."

It's their last date before the 3 months deal is up. Minjeong feels sad about it as Jimin doesn't seem to give a hint that she likes her or not. They were walking at the park while talking about their studies. 

"I want to thank you, for letting me court you all this time." Minjeong suddenly said. 

"Hm. Sure." 

"Thanks for agreeing to spend your Saturday with me every week." 

"No problem." 

"So umm..." 

Jimin looked at Minjeong and her face softened seeing Minjeong's calm face. 

"The past months were great. I enjoyed all the time we spent together. I hope you enjoy it too." 

"I do." Jimin replied. 

"That's good to know. So uhh, even if I fail to win your heart, is it okay if we become friends? I want to greet you and talk to you when I see you at uni."

"Yeah. We can do that." 

"Ah. I'm glad."

Jimin hides her smile seeing Minjeong trying so hard to hide her sad face. They walked back to their car and as always, Minjeong waited until Jimin get inside her car first. 

"Hey Kim."

"Yeah?"

"I just want to confirm something." Jimin said. 

Minjeong tilted her head and looks confused. Jimin approached her and cupped her face, her action made Minjeong froze on her spot. 

"Okay." Jimin smiled then get inside her car. 

"See you around, Kim." Jimin winked before she drove off. 

"What was that? Oh my heart." Minjeong hugged herself.

Kim Minjeong had the biggest confusion in her whole life. She become confused when the next week she come to the university to be greeted by Yoo Jimin personally. She was about to walk past her when Jimin called for her. 

"Kim."

"Huh."

Jimin who was leaning against her locker now walked closer to her. She fixed Minjeong's collar and searched her eyes, Jimin smiled seeing Minjeong's looking at her with that adorable eyes. 

"Good morning." She said before she called for her friends who look surprised, especially Aeri.

"What did I just see?" Minjeong finally snapped out of her thought when Ning's voice woke her up.

"Am I dreaming?" Minjeong asked her back.

She was having a mental breakdown. She's trying to figure out what's in Jimin's head. She thought after their last date last week, that was it. She failed to get the girl but now, she's not sure anymore.

"Is that how new friends greet each other?" Minjeong asked her friends.

Yes, she and Jimin agreed to be friends but Minjeong did not expect Jimin will be the first one to talk to her in front of everyone else.

 

 

Even when her friends kept asking since when she and Jimin talked, she can't really tell them everything. She doesn't know if Jimin would like her to share what's happening between them the past 3 months. So she just told them it just happened. 

Minjeong couldn't stop her mind from thinking about Jimin after what happened so she can't focus during classes. She closed her eyes, feeling tired and all. Just let her feet brought her to the cafeteria with her friends in front. 

She yawned and closed when suddenly she felt an arm around her waist and she was pulled to the side. 

"Careful there. Wouldn't want you to step on the spilled juice." 

She turned her head to see Jimin. 

"J-Jimin."

"Did you not get enough sleep last night? I assumed you were sleeping early since you never text me." Jimin said and her eyes are telling Minjeong to answer her right. 

"I..."

"Nevermind. I'll just text you then. Make sure you will reply me, okay?" 

"Huh? Oh. Yeah yeah, okay." 

"Good. Now go, I think your friends are waiting for you and please don't walk with your eyes closed again."

"Yeah."

"See you, Kim." Jimin smiled at her before going back to her friends and eat like nothing happened, ignoring her curious friends. 

Minjeong slowly turned to walk towards her table and looked at her friends. 

"Again, I'm not dreaming right?" 

"Damn right, you're not." Ning said while the others nodded.

Minjeong was complaining all by herself as she fixed the messy stacks of papers in her hands while trying to walk to the teachers room. Just then a paper fell and as she tried to grab it fast, someone else grabbed her hand instead. 

"Hey! Wha-" she stopped herself from scolding the person when she saw its Jimin.

"What?" Jimin asked.

"Uh. Jimin?"

"Yes, I am here." Jimin then bend down to pick up the paper before she gave it to Minjeong.

"What's this for?" Jimin asked.

"Mr. Lee asked me to collect them from the library. It's copies for quiz." Minjeong replied.

"Okay, I'll help you."

"Oh no need. I can just carry this myself."

"Who says I'm going to carry the papers?"

"Eh? Then?"

Jimin chuckled before she put her arm around Minjeong's shoulder and pulled her closer.

"I'm helping you so you wouldn't fall. Let's go."

"Why would I fall-"

"Shh. Let's go."

Minjeong immediately shut and just followed Jimin. Jimin was humming beside her, with a straight face as she ignored the students staring at them.

"Ahem. Can I tell my friends that we're friends?" Minjeong asked.

"Are we now?"

"I thought... We are?"

"Hmm."

"Are we not? I thought you agreed to be my friends."

"Well, yes. That's true."

"Then?"

"I said I agreed if you want to be my friends and that you can come and talk to me anytime in uni."

"Uh huh. Isn't that what's... Happening?"

"Really? How come I thought different?"

"Wait. How come it's different? I mean, you're talking to me?"

"Exactly, Kim. I talked to you, not the other way round."

"What?"

"I think you forgot about something."

"What?"

Jimin rolled her eyes before turning the doorknob and gestured her to send the papers first so she did. When she came outside, Jimin was still there waiting for her.

"Say, Kim. Do you really want to be just my friend?" She asked Minjeong.

"W-What?"

"I told you before. That if I like you, I will come to you."

Minjeong blinked her eyes and just looked at Jimin.

"So...? Do you get it now?" Jimin asked.

But Minjeong only blinked her eyes. No, this isn't happening. She can't believe that this is really happening.

"We can stay here until tomorrow if you're not going to answer me." Jimin said and crossed her arms.

"Y-You... You're the one who approached me first after-"

"Yeah."

"Means, you... You really come to me like you said-"

"Uh huh."

"Then you... Want to be my friend?"

"..."

"..."

"Really now?"

"Uh. You don't want that."

"I don't, Kim."

"Is it safe to say that you..." Minjeong hesitate as she stares at Jimin.

Jimin sighs before she pulled Minjeong by her waist.

"Yes. I do. I like you, Kim." Jimin said.

"Woah. You're not joking right?"

"No. I don't play around with someone's heart. I like you, okay?"

"Oh, okay. I... I do too. I mean, yeah. I still like you."

Jimin smiled and now Minjeong is calming down in her arms before leaning on Jimin slowly.

"Good. That's good." Jimin said and caressed Minjeong's face.

"Let's just say, you did well within those 3 months. Thank you for everything." Jimin told her.

"But why didn't you just tell me on the last date?"

"Hm? I never say it would be our last date though." Jimin replied while fixing Minjeong's hair. 

"Yes but-"

"And I did come to you the next week. I thought by doing that you would get the hint already." Jimin said as she's now tucking Minjeong's hair behind her ear.

"Well, You only come to me but never say that you like me."

"Okay, and now I have said it already."

"Yes and- wait, why are you suddenly being all this sweet to me?"

"Hm? Why not?"

"This. I- We are... Wait. What are we now?"

Jimin leaned her face closer and tilted her head, a smirk appeared on her face.

"Now this brings me back to my question earlier, Kim. Do you really want to just be my friend?"

"O-Oh..."

"Or... I have a better idea actually. If you want to call me yours, I can be your girlfriend instead."

Minjeong closed her eyes and took a breath before she looked down on Jimin's hands holding her waist securely. She then slowly smiled before she chuckled. 

"What?" Jimin asked.

"Does that mean that I've succeeded? In winning your heart?" She asked gleefully.

"About time that you finally realised." Jimin sighed and rubbed her temple.

"Oh my god."

"Yes, oh my god. Now can you please speed up with that processing that's going on in your mind?"

"Okay!"

"Okay to what?"

"Okay to you being my girlfriend."

Minjeong then grinned while Jimin ended up chuckling seeing her cute reaction.

"Okay. So, I have a deal."

"But you agreed already."

"Of course. I am yours, okay? That's why... I have another deal."

"What now?"

"Don't just let anyone to call you babe or baby from now on because that will be for me. I will be the one to call you that."

"Uhh, okay. I don't have anyone who call me-"

"Yeji did, last time."

"Eh?"

"Next. You are not allowed to fall for anyone else. You're stuck with me now."

"Oh please. I'm head over heels for you. I'm more than happy to be stuck with you."

"Good. Then, I will be the one who'll make you fall for me this time."

"I already did?"

"I intend to make you continue falling for me every single day, Kim."

"Damn, you're killing me. But then, I will still fall even if you don't do anything. Is it your mission to make me go crazy for you?"

"Yes. That's the point of being your girlfriend."

"I'm not ready but I'm so ready for you."

"Hahaha what?" Jimin laughed. Minjeong was so silly and funny but she loves that. She enjoys being around her. Minjeong's personality is amazing.

"Okay, Kim. We've talked long enough here. Let's go."

"Right. It's lunchtime. Wait, are you sitting with us?"

"Mm, we can switch everytime. You can sit with me and my friends, and there will be days I will sit with you and your friends."

"That would be great. Wait. Are we going to tell our friends about us?"

"Of course. Everyone should know."

"Eh? That-"

"Wouldn't want someone to think that they will have a chance with you or with me, don't we?"

"Right, right- oh." Minjeong blushed a little when Jimin's tightened her hold on her waist.

"Now let's go."

"Jimin?"

"Hm?"

"Thank you."

Jimin looked at her and smiled. People said she's hard to please but no, it was just that no one was sincere enough to be with her but Minjeong. Minjeong is so easy to love and Jimin find herself falling for her charms everytime.
