Today is Saturday so I don't have class. I woke up early to help my grandma cook.

Grandma : Youra, from today on grandson of a friend of mine will come to stay with us for temporary.

Me : Oh who is that?

Grandma : He's a grandson of my good friend who lives in Busan. He has just transferred to study in Seoul. I heard he also studies at your school.

Me : New student? It's new term so there are many new students.

Grandma : It's just temporary so I hope you don't mind. He'll move out when he gets used to life here in Seoul.

Me : I don't mind, Grandma. It's your good friend's grandson. By the way, when will he come today?

Grandma : In the evening! So I'm thinking of preparing a nice dinner today.

Me : I got it, Grandma.

I felt awkward a little bit to live with a stranger but I don't have a choice because it's what grandma asked for.

We prepared and cleaned our one spare room for him and tried our best to make a nice dinner to welcome him.

** Ding Ding **

Grandma : Oh maybe he has come. Let's go to open the door!

We went to gate to open the door for him. What got me shocked to death is the guy who is gonna become our new member is that mysterious guy, REN.

Me : It's you, Ren-shi...

Grandma : You know each other?

Me : He's my new classmate, Grandma. What a coincidence!

He didn't look shocked like I did. He just bowed to grandma and we got in the house.

Grandma : Your room is over there. Our rooms are at the first floor. You can keep your baggage in the room then come out for dinner. We've prepared a lot for you.

He is as cold as usual. He didn't talk just bowed then went to his room at the ground floor near our living room.

Me : Why him? Hmm...

Grandma : What's wrong?

Me : He's so strange. He doesn't talk much. He doesn't talk with anybody in the class. Yesterday he even made a teacher angry and he didn't feel sorry at all. He's so cold and weird.

Grandma : He's parentless just like you. He doesn't have many friends and Seoul is new to him so it must take time for him to get used with everything around him. Don't think too much! As far as I know he's a good kid.

Suddenly he came out and we stopped chitchatting.

Grandma : Here you come! Then let's have dinner! Eat a lot! Make yourself like at your own home and let's be nice to each other!

He didn't say anything just gave a slight bow then started eating.

I noticed he didn't eat meat at all.

Me : You don't like meat?

Ren : I'm vegetarian.

Me : Oh you're too young to be a vegetarian.

Ren : I'm full now.

Grandma : Oh then take some rest! Have a good sleep! Come to me anytime if you have any problem.

He didn't reply just left to his room.

Me : See grandma, he's super rude. He even acts like this to you. He's so ill-tempered. I'm so angry.

Grandma : Like I told you. Give him time! He needs time to get used with us and everything around him.

Me : Okay okay...

I didn't want to argue with grandma because of him so I ate quickly then went to bed.

It's my first time to have a stranger inside my house so I felt so uncomfortable and couldn't fall asleep. I rolled left and right on my bed for hours and still couldn't fall asleep. I feel thirsty so I went downstairs to get some water.

“Grandma? Ren-shi? Why aren't they both sleeping?” …..

I came down and saw them both were sitting on sofa, looked like they were talking about something important.

Me : Grandma, why are you both here?

Grandma : Oh we don't feel like sleeping yet so I came to talk with Ren. Why aren't you sleeping already?

Me : I feel thirsty and came down to get some water. I'm gonna get some water and go back room. Sorry to disturb, please continue! (I went to get some water then went back room.)

I entered the room and got shocked by seeing a strange creature inside my room. I didn't know what exactly it was but it looked so ugly, its face full of scratch, dressed up all black, white hair, couldn't divide if it's male or female. It was walking slowly to me. I was stuttering at first then collected my bravery to shout for help.

"Awwwwww, grandma, help!"

A moment later, grandma and Ren came in and I quickly ran to them.
