Ji Hyo wake up to a cooling morning with the rain hitting against the windows of her bedroom.

It was a Monday morning. A Monday morning that was so different for her. A Monday morning which she could sleep to her full desires and no need for her manager or her mother to wake her up for Running Man filming.

2 weeks ago, which was also a Monday. Ji Hyo finished with Running Man filming. She brought home with her with bruises and blue black on her arms and legs, and a sinking heart. Injuries aren’t anything unusual as getting injured is rather normal when she films Running Man. But the wounds in her heart couldn’t go away easily.

First it was Gary’s leaving from Running Man, then it was hers and Jong Kook’s dismissal from SBS without prior notice. A reversal of the dismiss and the so called apologies from SBS did not really do much to nurse Ji Hyo’s broken heart.

“I am doing this for the RM crew and the RM family and the RM fans.” She remembered she told Jong Kook when he urged her to stay, to forgive and to forget.

Then it was the 6+2. PD explains that is a must to bring in new blood, fresh faces and new ideas.

“We started with 2 female members in RM. We are just bringing back the idea.” SBS told Ji Hyo.

“Now Monday Couple is over and Gary Ssi even announced his marriage with another woman. We still do not know how we can reposition Ji Hyo Ssi character in Running Man now. What we can do now is for her to try hard on the stunts and physical tasks we planned to deepen her imagine as the Ace. We will also start a new love line between Jong Kook and the new female member.” The main PD of the show told Ji Hyo’s manager.

Ji Hyo worked hard for Running Man. She never complained when she is asked to perform all these demanding stunts. The other RM members were very concern about Ji Hyo if she can handled those yet she showed them that she can do it. The only heart breaking fact is, no matter how hard she strived, her screen time was often cut when the show is aired despite complaints from her international fans base.

When she came home with another round of injuries 2 weeks ago, she caught her mother sobbing in the kitchen while preparing supper for her. That’s when Ji Hyo hide in her bedroom and breakdown into tears.

“Enough. I had enough. Let’s call it a quit for Running Man.” Ji Hyo told her manager.

As expected, SBS was fast to response on Ji Hyo’s decision to leave. They agreed to Ji Hyo’s decision immediately. She is released as soon as the current chapter is filmed. Her agency and SBS, both release press statements to thank Ji Hyo for her hard work.

The other RM members knew Ji Hyo’s decision was final.

The beep from her mobile phone brought Ji Hyo back from her deep thoughts.

11:00 am, Kwang Soo, “Noona, I missed you. This is the second week without you.” Ji Hyo smiled, the giraffe must be taking a break, that’s why he is able to text his noona.
