The merger was a successful one and made headlines on every newspaper and magazines. Gary’s name was mentioned repeatedly in the news, on TV and almost everyone in Seoul is talking about the merging.

Ji Hyo and Jin Yin were also relieved that they were not retrenched. But Ji Hyo was told that she will be transferred to another department. Ji Hyo was worried if she can handle her new duties but at the same time she is glad that she managed to retain her job.

“Ji Hyo, congrats. At least you are to stay.” Lee Dong Wook, Ji Hyo’s manager for her teller position said.

“Dong Wook Ssi, thank you very much for helping me to retain my job.” Ji Hyo bowed several times at Dong Wook.

“Please….Ji Hyo…I really did not do anything. You were always performing well in your job. I wished I could keep you in my department instead of transferring you.” Dong Wook said.

“Do you know which department I will be transferred to?” Ji Hyo asked.

“I am not sure yet. Still pending for the announcement from HR. Don’t worry, I am sure you can manage. You are a clever girl.” Dong Wook comfort Ji Hyo with a bright smile.

“It may be good that Ji Hyo is transferred. At least, I can try dating her. People will gossip if I date a woman in my own department.” This is how Dong Wook felt. Dong Wook had always like Ji Hyo.

Ji Hyo did not realized that it was Gary’s bank that took over the bank that she was working in till Gary was on the news. She thought that someone else from Gary’s bank will manage the bank. She was surprised when the management introduce their new CEO as Kang Gary. 

The new CEO is taking turns to have lunch with each and every department in the bank. Ji Hyo still pending for her transfer notice, so she still works as a teller. Today is the day where Gary meets all the tellers.

90% of the tellers are women. The women were surrounding Gary when he came in for the lunch. Gary kept his gentleman smile and helped the ladies to get food and drinks.

“oh…such a gentleman. Such a warm and caring guy. It will be perfect if he is more handsome.” Someone commented.

“I thought he looked charming and handsome. Warm, rich and considerate. I heard he is still single. Does he has a girlfriend?” Another woman said.

Ji Hyo felt jealous upon seeing the women tellers getting crazy over Gary.

“Ugly like a squid. Small eyes, big face, thin lips. Not tall enough. How is he handsome?” Ji Hyo mumbled.

“Ji Hyo, you want to have some squids and fried rice?” Dong Wook asked as he handed a place of food to Ji Hyo.

"Squids? Oh...yes, thank you Dong Wook Ssi." Ji Hyo quickly pulled herself back to reality

While Gary was surrounded by the women, he kept a look out for Ji Hyo.  He saw Ji Hyo talking and laughing with a guy.

“That is the manager of the Retail Banking department?” Gary asked his secretary.

“Gary Ssi, yes. His name is Lee Dong Wook.” His secretary replied.

“I should go and say hello. I think I have meet him before during the management meetings.”

“Ladies, please enjoy your lunch. See you later.” Gary made his way to where Dong Wook was.

“Lee Dong Wook Ssi, nice to see you again.” Gary shook Dong Wook’s hand.

“CEO Kang, how are you.” Dong Wook quickly put his plate of food on the table and shook Gary’s hand.

Ji Hyo wanted to quickly retreat to a corner when Gary turned to her.

“CEO Kang, nice meeting you. My name is Song Ji Hyo.” Ji Hyo quickly bowed and introduced herself to Gary. She didn’t want people to know that this CEO is her ex boyfriend. She pretended that she does not know Gary.
