His heart stopped mid beat and he slowly lowered the burger from his mouth and followed the image of the goddess as she passed before him. If it weren’t for the food in his mouth, he’d probably let out a low whistle but instead he could only silently appreciate with his eyes.

            She was walking in her low heels but wow, her skirt showed a lot of leg. Yongguk choked a little and quickly swallowed his food before checking his white dress shirt for any stains. None, thank goodness. He cupped his hand and placed it before his mouth and blew. No onion breath. He was good.

            He cleared his throat and began to walk forward. She was leaning against the hood of the car and looking over material. Oh, this would be good. She was working on the same case he was. She must be the investigator they sent to help him.

            Yongguk straightened his shirt and without purposely putting a swagger in his step, he walked towards her. “Something wrong with your leg?” Came a sarcastic voice from behind him.

            For a second, his face turned red and he was about to turn around sheepishly but the deity looked up and so he smiled at her before coolly glancing back. “What did you say?”

            Behind him was scowling female officer and she was not looking happy. “Why are you walking like one leg is suddenly longer than the other?”

            “I wasn’t?” he turned the denial into a question and she crossed her arms.

            “Oh really? So if I asked you to walk again for me, you’d walk like a normal person right?”

            Yongguk shook his head and proceeded to walk to where he had been going only to stop short in his tracks. The shining figure was gone, just like an apparition. “Missing something?” the female officer quipped.

            “Look, babe, how about you and I went ahead and did our jobs, like what we were supposed to do?”

            She blinked at Yongguk innocently and her full lips slid into a pout. “That’s exactly what I was doing.”

            Slightly disgruntled, Yongguk walked over to the car and began to put together evidence. He shot back comments for his assistant to take down and smiled slightly whenever she grumbled at his authoritative tone.

            “Would you like me to tell you the conclusions from the blood spatters?”

            Yongguk turned his head and began to blush furiously. “Yes, please.”

            Behind him, he heard a low mutter, “Men.”

            The angel in the short skirt smiled sweetly. “Well, looking at the direction it was spattered against the sidewalk, it’s clear the victim was actually out of the car and on the passenger side for some reason. Something must have made him turn back, and it could be assumed that it is the assailant. If we examined the distance, we know what gun was used. Is something the matter?”

            Yongguk had been quite distracted and was now slowly just being jolted out of his reverie. “Ah, nothing. I think you have great points. Do you know if the CCTV recordings show anything?”

            His assistant quipped, “I think that’s your job, Mr. Officer.”

            The beautiful investigator smiled. “Officer Bang, would you like to look at it together? Maybe I can find some things you would miss.”

            “Oh yeah, I’d like that,” Yongguk smiled. As he walked away, he vaguely could see the angry stomps of his assistant as she stalked off.

            “It was such a pleasure working with you,” Yongguk smiled as he shook the investigator’s hand.

            She gave him a gracious, dazzling smile back. “Of course. Would you like to join me for dinner?”

            Yongguk grinned. “As much of a pleasure as that would be, I’m afraid my wife is waiting at home.” He bowed and walked to his car.

            At home, he found the house to be completely dark and when he went up to his bedroom, he saw her angrily curled up on her side, a sign that she was still awake. “I’m home.”

            She didn’t answer and he smiled to himself. “Do you want to hear what we found on the CCTV?”

            “No. Didn’t you share it all with the investigator? You didn’t deem it fit to invite your lowly assistant to your so important meeting so I’m going to assume that whatever you learned isn’t necessary for my ears to hear.”

            “Are you jealous?”

            She sniffed. “No.”

            “You are,” and Yongguk’s grin spread wider. “Did you really believe that I was into her?”

            “Were you not?” her answers were still short.

            “No. She’s totally not my type. I just wanted to see you get a little ruffled, that’s all. You’re cute when you’re territorial.”

            “I’m not,” she muttered.

            “You are very cute.”

            “I’m not territorial.”

            “Oh, but you were. I could hear the anger dripping from your words.”

            “Be quiet and go to sleep.”

            Yongguk inched closer. “You’re not really mad at me, right?”

            “If you come closer, I’ll knee you where it hurts, you dirty .”

            “Hey, you’re still the girl for me. I like shorter girls, and ones who look cute in a uniform, not like it was for Halloween. You’re perfect.”

            “Too late,” she said, her voice completely muffled by her pillow. “Come to think of it Officer Kim looks pretty dashing in his attire, and when he bends over, wow, that seems really nice to touch.”

            He let out a tiny growl and trapped her by the waist. “So you’ve been looking.”

            “Maybe,” she giggled innocently, and Yongguk bit her ear in response.

            “Okay, next time remind me to not bring him to our investigations.”

sorry so sorry for being on a hiatus

still sorting out life and the motivation to write has sort of weaned a bit

but I still love B.A.P even though sometimes I seem to doubt it, it's really because of life and hiatus.
