Zelo 98

B.A.P. Oneshots III

Zelo was on a mission, and when Choi Junhong had something on his mind, he was going to achieve it, no matter what the cost. He had set the goal and now it was up to him to execute it. “I’m hurt,” Zelo pouted. He peered up his lashes at his girlfriend and held his breath.

            “Oh are you? Where?”

She didn’t even bother to turn his way. Instead, her eyes were still scanning the drawing she was trying to perfect. He bore holes into the back of her head, but clearly she didn’t take the hint because she didn’t look.

“My leg. I feel like it’s too difficult to stand up.”

“What happened?” Ah, finally. She turned to divert some attention and he made a show of wincing.

“I have no idea. It’s like this sudden pain and when I stood, I collapsed. I’m not sure how I can take a shower.”

            “Skip a day.”

“That’s gross though. Don’t you want your boyfriend to sleep next to you, smelling nice and clean?”

“You don’t have to sleep next to me tonight,” she replied with a bright smile.

Zelo let his lower lip droop into a pout and he shook his body. “But I feel uncomfortable. And I’m sick too.” He let out a feeble cough and she raised an eyebrow slowly.

“That cough developed quicker than a maggot in rotting fruit. May I ask you why you’re so insistent on taking a shower? If you wanted to take a shower, you can just go upstairs and do it yourself.”

She was good. She immediately got to the crux of the dilemma without him needing to keep hinting. “I want you to take a shower with me,” he responded, utterly unashamed.

The effect was amazing. Immediately her face turned a scarlet red and she whirled back around, unable to look him in the face. “Go upstairs,” she said, her voice muffled by her sleeves. “You dirty ert.”

“What dirty ert?” He inched his way towards her and forced her to look at his picture of innocence. “I just asked that you come upstairs and assist me. I think that’s pretty normal before, don’t you think?’ He paused for a bit, as if utterly confused and then blinked. “What were you thinking?”

“Choi Junhong! You totally were not thinking of just my simply assisting you with a shower!”

Her voice was still a little shaky from the previous shock. He didn’t even slightly bad. She clearly had been suspicious. What did she think he was suggesting? But he was determined to see it out to the end so he kept the puppy face plastered on. “Yes? My leg hurts and I need someone to help support me.”

“Do you really expect me to believe you?”

“Hey! You asked. If you already supposedly thought you knew the answer, why would you bother asking me?” From experience, he’s learned that the best way was to stick to his story and keep going with it. Sooner or later she’d give up due to simply exasperation.

“I,” and he hid a grin. She was at a loss for words. He waited patiently and then she smacked him.

            “Ow!”

“Oh was it that leg that hurt?”

Zelo thought fast. “No, but now both legs are inured.” She scowled and he leaned in and placed his head on his arm, staring up at her with his best puppy dog look. “Do you hate me that much?” he whispered.

“Hate? No. I just, wow, Zelo. I thought you were innocent back when we first started dating.”

“There’s nothing not innocent about showering together, you know. I’d say it’s your mind that’s wandering off to where it’s not supposed to go. Why? Do you secretly want something to happen?” he wiggled his eyebrows.

opened, and then closed, and a blush was again rising up her cheeks. “You’re incredible.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.” And for good measure, he let out another hacking cough. “I really feel so bad right now,” he groaned.

She flicked him on the forehead. “No.”

Zelo pulled out his final weapon. If she was going to be resilient to this, then he’ll have no choice but to go to bed defeated. “I guess I’ll just go upstairs then. I’ll see you in the morning.” He gave her a little shrug, coughed a little and stood, wincing.

He saw mixed feelings cross her face and then turned to go. “I know you’re faking,” she said. He gave a sad jerk of his head. “But I’ll take pity on you because you tried really hard.”

He suppressed the happy grin and continued to walk. “No, it’s fine. I got it.”

One step up the stairs and he winced at the pain. She slipped in next to him and jabbed him in the ribs. “Okay, Lee Byunghun, you can stop acting now. You already got what you want.”

And just because it was too easy to just stop, he turned his head, let out another hacking cough before kissing the top of her head. “I love you.”

“Stupid y con artist,” she muttered.
