Proposal
Against ItA couple of years after JungKook had graduated, he decided on getting a house in the same city as Seohyun. The apartment he'd shared with Seohyun was tiny and it seemed to get smaller and smaller over the years. And Seohyun promised to come see him everyday after work because her apartment wasn't far, but JungKook insisted on moving a few of her things in as well just so he wouldn't get too lonely in the house.
"So, this is everything from the truck?" JungKook asked as he brought the last two boxes into the house. Seohyun nodded grimly. "Hmm, seems a bit empty, Seo," he added.
"But the truck is empty. I don't know what we could've missed," Seohyun stated slowly, glancing out the open door to the truck. She heard a slight thunk and looked back to JungKook, only to gasp and cover with one hand. JungKook was kneeling against the hardwood floor on one knee, holding up a small velveteen box with a gold ring, a sparkle of a diamond on top. "JungKook," she choked out, tears of joy filling her eyes.
"I know. It's different when it's for real, huh?" He said with the biggest grin on his lips, his voice understandably a bit shaky. He took Seohyun's hand and intertwined their fingers. "I think this house would be less empty if you lived here, too."
"JungKook, you bastard."
"Seo Joo-hyun, you are the greatest girl in the world. I'm not gonna waste your time and go through that whole speech that everyone goes back to, like 'oh, you mean everything to me, I love you, blah blah blah,' because you know that already. I just want you to know that I'm good for you. I know your mom doesn't like me, and my dad doesn't like anyone, and you don't like taking risks, but this is a good risk. I will do anything for you, Joo-hyun. I would put up with anything for you because I'm in love with you. Let's take a risk. Do you want to be my wife?" JungKook asked, his voice cracking by the end.
Seohyun sniffled and nodded. "I want you to say it, Joo-hyun," he whispered, and her heart absolutely swelled whenever he said her real name.
"I want to be Jeon Joo-hyun," she giggled through her tears. JungKook chuckled and kissed her hand, standing up so she could hug him and bury her face in his shirt. "I love you, JungKook."
"I guess it's about time you exchanged rings, huh, Seohyunnie?" JungKook giggled as he backed up and slipped the ring onto her finger, and then he pulled her back in for a hug.
"You're shaking," Seohyun laughed through her tears. "I can hear your heartbeat through your shirt."
"So how fast is it?" he asked.
"It's practically vibrating," she giggled.
"Yeah, that's your fault, Seohyun-ah. I was afraid you'd say no. So, do you want to move in here with me?" JungKook offered. He felt Seohyun's nod through his shirt and he held her closer. "You know, you can stop crying now," he chuckled softly, though his eyes weren't exactly dry, either.
"I love you. More than anything. I want a puppy and a son and a daughter and I want them to-"
JungKook laughed and released her. "Oh, we're getting ahead of ourselves, aren't we? Let's wait till after the honeymoon, okay?" He asked. Seohyun cooed and brushed happy tears out from under his eyes.
"Don't cry, baby~"
He pushed her hands away. "Oh, off," he joked, turning away. Seohyun stood there, lonely for a moment until JungKook turned back to her and threw his arms around her waist, putting her up on his shoulder to carry her to th
