Broken Promises
Against ItSeohyun lied. JungKook shouldn't have given so much hope to the thought that she would come back, because of course she had school. JungKook had never felt so miserable in his life.
"JungKook, you're awake," Yuri said as she entered his room. He shook his head rapidly to see if he could escape this horrible dream if he closed his eyes and woke up. But in fact, it was not a dream and this action only hurt his head. "What are you doing?" Yuri asked, not helping his thoughts at all. And suddenly, he wanted to hear about his hyung, just to escape from the fact that Seohyun was not here.
"Is Jin doing any better?" he asked, leaning his head back on his pillow and closing his eyes with a pained expression.
"Yeah, he's doing a little bit better. Wait, since when did you start caring about Jin? Or anyone for that matter?" Yuri asked as she crossed her arms and smirked.
"Because I don't want to think about how Seohyun lied to me," he told her, forgetting that he was still speaking out loud. Yuri's imagination sparked.
"Spill. I want to know every last word of the maknae's promise," Yuri said eagerly, leaning against the doorway.
"Nothing, she just said she'd be here, but she's not. That's all," he replied, opening his eyes to the harsh, Seohyun-less reality surrounding him. Yuri was smiling at him.
"You two are the cutest couple ever. Have you asked her out yet?" she asked. JungKook rolled his eyes.
"No, Noona. Stop asking," JungKook ordered. "However, we would make a cute couple. The two maknaes," he said, sitting up. Yuri nodded, winking to something outside his room.
"So, Seohyun lied to you, huh? She's not here, right?" Yuri asked.
"Well, as far as I know, she's not. Why do you sound like that?" JungKook asked, suspicious of his noona.
"Like what?"
"Like that! You sound like you have secrets and you're not telling me!" JungKook whined. At that moment, Seohyun popped into the room, smiling and waving at JungKook.
"Hello, I'm here," she greeted him cheerfully.
"And look who still does not have ice cream in her hands," JungKook joked. Yuri left the room to tend to Jin while Seohyun stayed with JungKook in his room.
"I can't give you ice cream, babo. You'll throw it all up," she giggled. JungKook pouted and finally noticed that both of her hands were behind her back.
"What are you hiding, Seohyun?" JungKook asked. Seohyun raised her eyebrow and cocked her head, still smiling.
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Kookie," Seohyun said.
"Why are you all lying to me? Do I look gullible?" JungKook asked, trying to control his annoyance. Seohyun giggled at the sick boy.
"I don't know what you mean. This teddy bear is for Yuri-unnie, not JungKook," Seohyun teased, hugging Yuri and handing her the plush white teddy bear she had held behind her back. Yuri grinned and squeezed Seohyun back in the hug.
"Aww, you're too nice, Seohyun,"
