Step 1: Say No
Against It"Hello, Seohyun," L.Joe said lovingly into the phone, easily pushing JungKook back by his head.
"Hey! Give me the ing phone, jackass!" JungKook cursed, grabbing at his phone.
"Who is this?" the girl from the other side asked.
"It's JungKook's older and way hotter hyung named-"
"L.Joe, I'm ing serious! Give it back!" JungKook yelled out. "Seohyun-ah! Don't listen to him!"
"Give the phone back to my actual boyfriend, please. It's not nice to steal other people's things," the girl stated wisely. JungKook yelled out a roar of victory as L.Joe gave him back the phone.
"Hello? Seohyun, are you still there?" he asked, walking off into his room.
"Yeah, I'm here."
"Listen, sorry. They're just... being s, you know?" JungKook said, not knowing how much he was slurring.
"JungKook? What's wrong with you? Are you drunk?" Seohyun asked. Something switched on in JungKook's mind, shining a dull light on what he should and shouldn't do.
"No, I swear. I just.... I'm so exhausted," he lied. "My friends are so tiring. You don't even know," he added, making a gigantic and almost unnecessary effort to sound tired and not drunk.
"Oh, okay. Try to get some sleep, okay, JungKook?" Seohyun asked hopefully.
"Yeah, I will. Goodnight, babe."
"Goodnight, love you," she said.
Say it! Tell her you love her, goddamn it! Stop waiting! his mind screamed at him. But obviously, the message didn't actually get through until too late, thanks to the alcohol clouding his thoughts. "Goodnight. I-"
The call ended. JungKook slammed his phone on the dresser angrily, but not for Seohyun. No, he was mad at himself for hurting her. Tiffany stood there at the doorway, and something about her just made go insane. "Anything wrong?" she asked
