Letting Off Steam; 2Yoon
Against ItA particular tense night followed only two days later, when YoonGi got a call from his brother.
"Oh yeah? Well, no one would miss you, JoonHyuk!" YoonGi shouted in the other room. Yoona, Yuri, and Jin had all decided it was best to leave him alone while he made a call, but Yoona began to worry about him. He'd never been so angry before.
"I'm sure he's fine," Yuri assured her with a smile and a pat on the back. Yoona managed a smile, quickly erasing it as she heard YoonGi yelling again.
"No, I'm not gonna ing call you 'Hyung!' You're not my hyung! You don't deserve to be my brother!"
Yoona sighed and rested her chin in her palm as she rested her elbow on the counter.
"I hope you die a horrible death! People like you are the reason I despise humankind! I seriously ing hate you!"
The girl winced at the sound of his booming voice. It was funny how he chose to go into a different room when they could still have heard him loudly and clearly all throughout the dorm. "Are you okay?" Yuri asked softly. Yoona nodded.
"He's just mad, that's all. It happens. He's a great guy, I know he is, but sometimes people just push him off the edge," she told her unnie. Yuri smiled.
"Of course he's a great guy. We all snap sometimes," she said to the younger.
"I don't ing care what you think of me! Dad's already given up on me! I wish you'd do the same! It shouldn't ing matter what I do!" YoonGi shouted at the top of his lungs, but Yoona was sure it was only a counterproductive effort because the guy on the other side probably hardly understood him now. She was so tempted to open the door to his room and end the call with his brother herself because it was so hurtful to him, but she decided there was nothing she could do but wait for the bitter end.
"YoonGi's just letting off steam, Yoona. He'll be fine," Jin said. Then she breathed in a shaky intake of air.
"He's never been like this," she admitted quietly, taking a sip of her hot chocolate.
"I know, I know. But he's fine. You haven't seen him like this, but I have. He'll be fine," he told her comfortingly. Yoona sighed and nodded, squinting her eyes shut in pain as she heard another round of hateful words.
"JoonHyuk, why did you even call me? You have no right to intrude in my life and tell me how to live! Maybe I would've been better off staying in Daegu, but I'm in Seoul right now and it doesn't ing matter what could've been! I like it here and you can't do anything about it!"
"Are you sure you're okay?" Yuri asked again. Yoona nodded.
