Mending Hearts
Against ItOkay, YoonGi, you can do this. If she says yes, you'll be so proud of yourself. It's no problem if she says no, YoonGi told himself in his head as he stood at the door, about to leave Yoona's dorm. He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"So, umm, Yoona... I was thinking, you know...." YoonGi paused momentarily to look at Yoona's face. Her gaze had intensified and she looked like she was hanging on every word.
"Yes, YoonGi-ah?" she pushed him along. Those eyes almost made him forget what he was talking about.
"I was wondering if you wanted to... I don't know, I was gonna go skating on Friday and I was wondering if you wanted to come with... me?" YoonGi stuttered. Yoona smiled brightly and leaned against the door.
"That'd be great," she said. YoonGi smiled eagerly. "But..."
"What?" he asked with slight panic in his voice.
"I don't have skates," she said softly.
"Oh, that's fine. They have skates there that you can use," he assured her.
"Great! I'd love to. I'll see you Friday, then," Yoona replied. YoonGi nodded to her with the stupidest grin on his face.
"Yeah, I'll see you then," he said before he turned around and left. Yoona shut the door and sighed longingly. Yuri came out and stared confusedly at the lovestruck girl.
"Im Yoona, you're so strange," she stated. Yoona grinned at her unnie.
"I don't care," she sighed quietly.
"Whatever. I'm going out to go get something," Yuri said, pushing the girl out of the way of the door. Yoona stood her ground, though.
"Why? What are you getting?" she asked suspiciously. Yuri rolled her eyes.
"You're so nosy. I'm going to get some coffee because I'm dying," Yuri replied, slumping her shoulders and giving Yoona a puppy look. Yoona let her out, and Yuri started towards the nearest coffee shop.
Yuri saw a figure with an umbrella coming towards her. As she grew closer to the person, she could finally make out who it was, and she gasped.
Jin.
She barely even recognized him with the black jacket and dark blue jeans, because he always wore at least one bold colour, like red or light blue. Not these faded and worn out colours.
He didn't even look at her as he got closer and closer. "Seokjin-ah," Yuri whispered to him. She stopped and stared at him with begging eyes. Screw coffee right now. I can't go on if he's there. Jin stopped and gazed right back, confused like he didn't know her.
"What?" Jin responded harshly when she didn't speak. Yuri smiled gently as she stepped forward a little.
"Hi," she greeted him. Jin wasn't impressed and his face showed it.
"Yuri, we shouldn't be talking," he said, roaming his eyes away from her.
"We're talking right now," she reminded him. He exhaled and closed his eyes.
"I know, but we shouldn't be," he explained, opening his eyes after. Yuri shook her head and stepped closer to Jin, making him slightly less comfortable.
"Who says that?" Yuri asked.
"I thought it was that unspoken promise that we made to each other," Jin replied quietly. Yuri was right in front of the umbrella now, just out of reach of protection from the cold rain.
"When were we going to break that promise?" she questioned, not moving forward at all now.
"Someday," Jin answered, taking a deep breath and exhaling as he looked anywhere but at her.
"Can our someday be today?" Yuri whispered. Jin smiled finally and gazed into her eyes.
"Okay," he nodded.
Yuri came under the umbrella
