This New Girl...
Against ItJungKook didn't fall apart until he got onto the highway. Tears welled up in his eyes and he had to blink them away to see the road ahead. "Seohyun, I love you. I love you so much. I love you more than I want to, and I have no idea why. I just know that you're worth more to me than anyone else," he said aloud. "I know I hurt you by not telling you I love you. And I want to say that to you, but I just know that there's no way you could love me that much," he added.
JungKook reached over and the radio, trying so hard to listen to the song, but even so, he couldn't translate the words into actual meaning. He couldn't hear the words. He just heard the sounds they made.
They didn't mean anything; Seohyun meant something.
JungKook arrived at his best friend's beach house at 9:24 pm. He pulled out his phone and dialed the number. "Hello?" the guy answered.
"Hey, Byung Hun, I'm here now."
"Aish, just call me L.Joe. You sound like Seokjin the grandpa. Do you want me to come out to help or do you just want to come in?" he asked. JungKook rolled his eyes playfully at the guy's remark about Jin, which was true.
"Come out here, Hyung. I haven't seen you in at least a year," JungKook replied. L.Joe groaned.
"Why, JungKook-ah," L.Joe asked.
"Why not?" JungKook teased. L.Joe hung up, opening the front door and walking out to JungKook across the long front yard. JungKook smiled proudly and opened his arms out wide. "L.Joe-hyung, can I have a hug?"
"God, now you are Seokjin," L.Joe replied, quickly hugging the boy anyway.
"I am in no way like Seokjin," JungKook said, releasing him. L.Joe rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Come on, dude. I have food to eat," the older boy said, waiting as JungKook pulled his bags out of the trunk. JungKook followed him inside to see two other friends of his Gongchan, or Gong Chan-shik, who was reading on the couch, and Hwang Minhyun, who was shoving noodles into his mouth with chopsticks while he watched TV.
"Tell me why you guys aren't asleep yet," JungKook joked. Gongchan looked up, and it actually looked like he was exhausted.
"I would... But I'm at the good part," Gongchan replied with a soft and tired smile. Then he turned and pointed to Minhyun. "Plus, this guy is slurping so loud that I am not in danger of drifting to sleep," he giggled.
"Yah, I'm not slurping loud!" Minhyun replied after swallowing the food in his mouth, shoving Gongchan lightly.
"Because you're loud in general, isn't that right?" Gongchan teased. Minhyun put his now-empty bowl on the coffee table in front of him before pouncing on and wrestling with Gongchan. JungKook almost cooed at them because they looked like puppies playing. Key word: almost. Instead, his focus was on something else.
"Hey, guys. Aren't we going down by the water soon?" a girl asked in English, coming out from the hallway. JungKook stared at her, both enchanted and confused since he didn't understand her. Well, no, it wasn't that he couldn't understand what she said, since he could, but he couldn't understand why she spoke in English.
"Umm, who... are you?" JungKo
