Somewhere Else
Against ItYuri quickly glanced in the mirror to see how she looked. She had a pretty, frilly pink dress on (Jin's favorite color, of course) and purple heels. Everything was cute and neat and everything she wanted to look like. She had her hair down, neatly flowing over her shoulders, and her make-up, consisting of mascara and a quiet outline of eyeliner, was simple but perfect. "I love it," Yuri told herself in the mirror.
Yoona wore some skinny jeans and a cute black shirt with a silver necklace. Make-up was, of course, a must, but it wasn't enough to freak anyone out. Just mascara, that was all. After all, she and YoonGi barely knew each other. Well, he barely knew her, but she knew that he was cute, funny, and talented from what she had seen from him. She just hoped he would think the same about her.
Seohyun told herself over and over to find something that wouldn't set the boys off. She most certainly wasn't going to wear pink, like Yuri. Nothing too casual because only the beautiful Yoona could pull it off. "Wait, the dress from this morning worked, right?" she said to herself. She searched around for her blue dress and suddenly remembered that it was being washed.
Instead, Seohyun settled for a simple, strapless red dress and a soft black blazer, matched with some black heels. Simple eyeliner due to the fact that her dress was enough of everything for the boys.
As soon as they arrived at the pizza place, the boys were already walking over as well. Yoona spotted YoonGi whispering something to Jin as soon as he saw her. Okay, Yoona, maybe it's not so bad. He barely knows you and he's already judging you, but it's okay, right? Yoona told herself as she walked up nervously.
Meanwhile, Yuri tripped in her heels, so Jin caught her. And they were already flirting. "Remind me again why they're not married?" Seohyun whispered to Yoona, who giggled and nodded in agreement before finally going and talking to YoonGi. Something felt slightly off about this picture.
"Wait, is JungKook here?" Seohyun asked nervously. Jin held back a smile and shook his head.
"Oh, JungKook is at the dorm watching TV. He wasn't supposed to come with us, was he?" YoonGi asked, looking genuinely confused. Seohyun's heart fell as she bit her lip and shook her head.
"N-No, I just thought... he would... But I guess he didn't, so I'll head back to the dorm," Seohyun stated, spinning on her heel to turn and walk away. She bit her lip and held her breath to keep the tears from forming in her eyes while she let the sound of the others' voices grow slightly more far away and silent with every step. "JungKook, you ..." she said to herself out of pain. Suddenly she heard footsteps right behind her and a pair of strong arms around her waist.
"Seohyun! Hi!" JungKook's eager voice filled her ears and she turned around to meet his hug. "Did you really think I wouldn't come?" he asked with a giggle. "Did you miss me? Huh, did you? Did you, Seo? I bet you did!"
"Oh my god, you're so annoying, JungKook," Seohyun giggled. He pulled away and gasped when he finally saw what she was wearing. Seohyun looked down and quickly adjusted her dress up as an instant reaction to his gasp, thinking that he had pulled it down. But his mouth was still hanging open after it was on perfectly. "What?"
JungKook closed his mouth and let his eyes wander everywhere else but on her while he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Umm, nothing..." he responded. "Y-You look pretty t-tonight," he admitted. Seohyun grinned widely and tried not to blush.
"Thank you. You look nice, too. C'mon, let's go get pizza," Seohyun said, going back to the others, who had already gone in the restaurant.
"Oh, Seohyun. No, I forgot to tell you that only the others are going to get pizza. We're going somewhere else," JungKook told her, pulling her back to his side by her hand. Be still, my pounding heart, Seohyun reminded herself as she contained her squeals, following him as he pulled her.
"Where are we going?" Seohyun asked softly, careful not to make her heart beat any faster than it already was.
"You'll see," he replied teasingly, looking back at her to wink. Never mind. Go as fast as you possibly can, my heart, she thought when he winked.
Soon enough, they had arrived at an old abandoned house. Seohyun was extremely disappointed and it showed on her face. "Oh, sorry it's not what you expected. Let's go inside," JungKook quickly apologized before he pulled her inside. He opened the door and there was dust literally everywhere, even the door had stirred up its own dust cloud.
"Well, it's impressive how dusty it is in here, I'll give you that," Seohyun said agitatedly. JungKook chuckled and shook his head dismissively.
"I promise you'll like it. You've barely seen it yet," JungKook assured her. He finally released her wrist, which he had forgotten about holding in the first place, as he looked around the house. "Now where was it..." Seohyun heard JungKo
