Dodgeball
What My Heart Tells Me To DoChapter 16: Dodgeball
|Narrator's Perspective|
"Alright girls, I'm excusing you from fitness because we're going to have the boy's class join us in a game of good old dodge ball" announced Mrs. Judge, CL and Dara's gym teacher. The girls all cheered as they were finally excused from their hardcore Friday Fitness. However, when the boys from Mr. Crabbe's class entered, the gym was filled with the girls "oooohs" and "ahhhhhhhs"
Dara and CL waved towards Jiyong as he walked in. He saw them and immediately went over to the two when Henry suddenly appeared in front of CL.
"Hey CL" he said, but before he could say anymore, CL pushed his head away and walked faster towards Jiyong making Dara laugh.
"Okay everyone lets have your attention up here" Mr. Crabbe called, his low voice echoing throughout the gym.
"Mrs. Judge and I are going to split you into two teams. From there, each team needs to find one person that they must protect, preferably female. Once the game commences and you are hit with a ball, you are to move to the opponents end and stay outside of the guidelines where you can still throw balls at them. If the person you are protecting is out, the game is over. Everyone understand?" Everyone unanimously agreed.
"To create the teams, I would like you to line up. If I call out a 1, you are on the left side of the gym and if I call out a 2, you are on the right side" Ms. Judge called.
CL, Jiyong and Dara purposely executed a plan where they would end up on the same team but because of one person, it was all messed up: Henry.
"CL and Henry, you two are on team one. Dara, Jiyong, you will be on team two" Mrs. Judge told them as she walked away to pull out the dodge balls. CL's mouth was gaping open when Jiyong came by and shut it for her.
"Good luck. I know you can get through this" he smirked and walked away with Dara—who gave CL a 'I'm sorry' look—while Henry stood there extremely excited to be on CL's team.
"HENNNNRRRYYYY!!" CL erupted while stomping her foot, startling the class.
"What?" he asked inocently.

Once each team gathered, CL—who was completely frustrated—did her best to stay away from Henry by staying by Daniel, a friend of hers from Chemistry. Of course it didn’t work; Henry was stuck to her like glue
