Chapter 14: Ice Cream Date

|Narrator's Perspective|

            "Settle down" Mr. Lawrin announced to the class. Everyone took a seat and looked to the front of the class. Mr. Lawrin instructed the class to finish up their History essay while he would come around and check if our projects were complete.

Jiyong turned to CL and whispered, "How'd your project go?"
            CL immediately remembered last night's event and shivered.
            "Don't even ask" CL grumbled as she gave a glare towards Henry's direction. He was sitting there with his hand covering his left cheek and when he turned around to see the cause of it . . . he couldn’t help but dumbly smile.
           

            "I'm assuming it didn’t go so well" Jiyong said.        
            "Yeah, what exactly happened?" Dara asked, full of curiosity as she leaned over her desk to see CL.    
            "Mr. Henry the nerd tried to kiss me" CL spouted.
Jiyong glanced at Henry then to Dara and both of them commenced laughing.
            "Is that why his cheek is so red?" Dara asked.          
            "Yes, but clearly he doesn’t understand what that slap means. Ever since last night, he keeps staring at me and following me!" CL complained as she dropped her head on the desk.
            "Awww~ You guys should get together it would be such a cute couple" Jiyong joked. CL couldn't help but roll her eyes.

            "Can we please just stop talking about this?" CL begged.
            "Never" Jiyong and Dara both said in sync.
            "Ugggggh"
            Jiyong nudged CL as he noticed Henry, "CL I think lover boys drooling for you".
            CL looked up and no doubt was Henry staring at her. He quickly waved at her.
            Jiyong and Dara both broke out into more laughter while CL just shook her head.

            "Dara and Jiyong, may I see your assignment." Mr. Lawrin asked. Jiyong and Dara both showed them their amphitheatre.
            "Very impressive!" Mr. Lawrin told the two. CL frowned at the two as they smiled triumphantly.
            "CL and Henry, may I see yours?" Mr. Lawrin asked. CL gulped and was about to tell him that she didn’t do it when Henry suddenly shouted, "It's right over here, sir!" CL stood up and stared at him in shock, curious to see what he had done.
            "I thought you said you never did it?" Dara whispered to CL.
            "I didn’t" she told them.

            Henry pulled out a massive design of one of the Pyramids. It was so detailed that one could actually open up the Pyramid and see the many tombs and mini artifacts. The class stared at in awe.

            "Amazing job!" Mr. Lawrin complimented the two. Even the whole class was amazed by it that they stared at in awe.
            CL looked towards Henry and he gave her a quick wink.
            "By the way Henry, what is that red stain on your cheek?" Mr. Lawrin asked.
            "Oh, Mr. Lawrin you wouldn’t understand. . . It's a mark of love" he whispered the last part as he gazed towards CL and the whole class erupted into laughter.
            CL on the other hand had collapsed into her seat wishing she had never existed.
