Chapter 41 : Forty-One.
"Would any of you tell me what's going on?"

Narrator.
You opened your eyes only to let them close a little while after you opened them. You tried again when you heard grumbles and groans from a distance. You shot up on the bed only to rub your eyes and see Luhan on the sofa as he slept there the whole night. You pressed your lips together before you huffed. "Idiot, you should've slept here with me or at least sleep on Lay's bed." You muttered softly as you got up from his bed and you felt something foreign around your body. Looking down, you remembered that you were still in his clothes. You bit your lower lip but smiled in content. It's been a long while since you ever felt this warm or this close to a person. It felt good and it felt really, just really nice having someone again.

You kneeled down beside Luhan as you placed a hand on his cheek after contemplating for a while. He was in a deep sleep and after you placed a hand on his cheek, he mumbled a soft "No.. don't do it.."

You furrowed your eyebrows before you caressed his cheek. You couldn't help but reply him even though he was sleep talking. "Do what?"

"Don't.. reveal.." he mumbled again and you pulled your hand back. "Reveal what?"

From there he muttered a few words that you couldn't even put the pieces together. "Maybe you're just having a nightmare." You said softly as you got up from the ground and headed towards the kitchen to maybe make some breakfast for him before you headed back to your room. There was a knock on the door and you walked towards the door. "Who is it?" you asked softly but then an envelope slipped underneath. You crouched down to pick up the envelope.

Han Jin Sae

Was written on the envelope. You shrugged before you opened the envelope only to let pictures fall onto the ground. Your lips parted when they were pictures of Lizzy and Luhan together. What's worse was the two of them were kissing. The clothes Luhan was wearing were the same clothes he was wearing now. Your breathings picked up the pace before you crouched down to pick them up one by one before you analyzed them. Tears, formed in your eyes but you tried not to cry. "You can't cry. You just can't." You whispered to yourself before you crushed the photos in your hands when your fists clenched. You didn't feel sad, nor disappointed, you felt angry.

When you flipped one of the photos, it was written,

If you don't want these photos to be published, be at the gym room at 6.00p.m. sharp. And come alone.

You furrowed your eyebrows before you put all the shoved the photos back into the envelope. Wiping the tear that had just rolled down your cheek, you shook it off. There has to be something behind this. The last time you remembered, Luhan hated Lizzy and she has a grudge against you. You trusted Luhan enough to know there was more behind this. The last resort would be going to Luhan and questioning this to him personally. Although you would need a lot of self control to not just throw the pictures at his face. Even though you knew there had to be something behind this, you couldn't help but feel, hurt? Luhan was your boyfriend after all, regardless whether it was public or not. He is yours and yours only. But at the same time if you were to go all out on Luhan, the two of you would only argue. That wouldn't do any good.

"If Lizzy is behind this, I swear I'll cut her into pieces." You muttered softly. You turned around to glance at Luhan who was sleeping peacefully. You walked over to give him a kiss on the forehead before you grabbed your bag and hurriedly left his room, not even having the mood to make him breakfast anymore. When you came back into your room, CL was surprisingly awake. She beamed and walked over to you before she hugged you tight when you entered. "2NE1 is officially signed under Han Records! Since we have experience as a group, we're going to debut soon!" She beamed as she hugged you tight.

You hugged her back but the moment she let go of you, you fell onto your knees. gaped open before her eyes widened. "J-Jin Sae."

Struggling, you threw the envelope that was in your hands to the ground as you started to shed tears silently. You could see CL shaking as she kneeled down a few steps away from you to pick up the envelope. She pulled out the pictures and gaped open as well as her eyes were widening one photo after another. She shot up and gripped on tightly to one of the photo with Lizzy kissing Luhan. She tried to open the door but got up quickly to slam it shut as you appeared in front of the door with your back pressed against it. "Where are you going with that?"

"To Luhan! He needs to do some explaining!" 

"D-Don't." you said shakingly before she tried to push you away. "You can't let him do this to you!"

"CL, listen to me-"

"No! I will not sit here and let him cheat on you like thi-"

"Listen to me!" You raised your voice before you snatched the photo from her hands. At that exact photo the words were written anonymously behind it in red,

CL gulped as she read the words one by one. "Is Lizzy behind all this?" She whispered and you gulped before you nodded slightly. "She's the only person I can think of now." You muttered softly before CL pulled you in for a hug. "We'll get through this together. We will. No way in hell that girl is ruining everything. No way." CL repeated those words as she patted your back. Smiling a little, you hugged her back and just wanted to escape reality for now. Oh how you wish you could do that.

The first class you had was Science and you have no idea how but you've pulled yourself together to just go and attend your classes even though it was killing you inside knowing what Lizzy could be doing with these photos. If she published this online or send it to the newspaper crew or whatsoever, there goes Luhan's image as well as EXO-M's image. When you came into class with a bag slinged over your shoulder, Luhan was already there with bright eyes looking at you but you didn't give him the same amount of brightness he did to you. His smile fell when you walked past him to sit on the chair behind him.

The moment you sat down, you crossed your arms on the table before you buried your face into your arms.

Narrator.
"What do you think is going on?" Minho asked as he sat down by the table with Sehun sitting opposite him. No one in EXO-K knows about this apart from Sehun and no one in SHINee knows about this apart from Minho. The less people know about this, the better it'll be. These two just wanted to get this done and over with.

"We can't possibly go after Kim Jae, he'll know it's us and make a run for it."

"But at the same time, if we leave him with the pictures, something bad will happen." Sehun reasoned out and Minho sighed.

"What else can we do? Luhan was kissing her."

"No, Lizzy was kissing him." Minho corrected Sehun as Minho took out his phone. "I didn't know why but I recorded this." Minho said as he passed Sehun his phone. Sehun plugged in the headphones before he watched the video silently. When the video ended, Sehun clenched his fists before he hissed a soft, "Who the is this girl?"

Luhan sighed when Jin Sae didn't lift her chin up once at all as he was staring at her when he turned around. So many thoughts were running through his mind.

Should I tell her about it?

Should I not?

He sighed before he continued to think.

What if she finds out?

What if.. Lizzy doesn't keep up to her word?

Luhan pressed his lips together before he was determined to tell Jin Sae everything. He thought it would be better to be honest with the truth than hide everything from her. If she finds out on her own, it'll be much worse. "Jin Sae." Luhan called her out softly as she lifted her head to look at Luhan with a blur expression on her face. "Huh?"

"Meet me by the balcony at night, alright? I'll be there." Luhan whispered as she nodded her head. Luhan wanted to say more but she had already buried her face into her arms again. Luhan sighed as he faced front again. "She was crying.." Luhan muttered softly before he turned around to get one last glance of his girlfriend, "What happened last night?"

The moment Science class ended, Luhan and Jin Sae were the only two in the classroom. Luhan nudged Jin Sae to wake up and she abruptedly shot up from her seat. Luhan jerked backwards but he laughed a little when he saw how flustered she was. "It's break time and we-" His voice trailled off the moment she didn't say anything as she just picked up her bag. "Lunch it is then." Luhan said as he followed behind her silently, still not sure what was going on in her mind.

During break, or recess like how some other people call it, she didn't speak at all. CL gave her worried looks but soon CL tried to hide them. EXO-M could sense something was wrong and Jin Sae was sitting beside Luhan as usual again. Luhan placed a tray in front of Jin Sae with a plate of sandwiches along with a packet of orange juice but she pushed the tray back at Luhan before she gave a weak smile. "I'm not hungry."

"Is something wrong?" Kris asked as he was the one sitting opposite Jin Sae today. Shaking her head, she gave another weak smile to Kris. "I'm just tired. That's all."

"Y-Your eyes look puffy. Have you been crying?" Tao, who was sitting beside Kris asked Jin Sae who smiled wider this time. "No." Jin Sae shook her head before she rested her chin on her palm. Liar. Luhan stared at her as he wasn't buying this crap one bit. The two may have been together less than a month, known for each other only for a few months but he felt that something they shared could last more than a lifetime. He could easily sense she was lying now but he knew he could just ask her about that later. Just then, Minho came by Jin Sae's side and he gripped onto Jin Sae's wrist before he pulled her up. Luhan shot up as an instinct but Minho gave Luhan a stern look. "We have something private to discuss." Minho said as he pulled Jin Sae away.

Before Luhan could stop him, Sehun came and made Luhan stay put. "This is something private. Be a good boyfriend and respect that." Sehun said as he followed Minho and Jin Sae. Luhan's fist clenched but then Kris called Luhan out. "Respect her space. You know she would tell you everything later on. So trust her on this." Kris said as Luhan sighed before he remained seated.

"Would any of you tell me what's going on?" Jin Sae snapped at Minho before she stopped walking when the three of them were in the hallways. "Here is too public." Sehun said as Minho nodded. Minho gripped onto Jin Sae's wrist before he dragged her into the store room with Sehun following behind them. Sehun shut the door and switched on the lights. "Tell me what's going on!" Jin Sae shouted before Minho shoved screenshots of the video clip from Minho's phone printed out on a piece of paper. Jin Sae's eyes widened when she noticed these photos Minho handed to her were almost the same as the ones that 'Lizzy' gave her too. Lizzy was the only person she knew would be behind this now.

"Where did you get this?"

"It doesn't matter where we got this. The thing is that-"

"Where.. did you get this? And I won't repeat myself again." Jin Sae said sternly before the two of them gulped. "We.." Sehun muttered softly before Jin Sae crushed the paper with the pictures on it. "Stay out of this." Jin Sae said as she tried to open the door but Sehun slammed it shut. "What are you going to do?"

"I said stay out of this! I'll fix things myself!" Jin Sae said as she tried to open the door again but this time Minho joined into block the way out. "Let us help you! Why aren't you feeling anything about this?! What? You don't love Luhan?!"

"I love him so much to the extend where I'm going to do all it takes to make sure whoever is behind this won't do anything to harm him!" Jin Sae shouted before the two of them kept their mouths shut. "Whoever is behind this has sent me pictures of them kissing. I received them this morning and they want me to meet up with whoever this person his at the gym room at 6.00p.m. I'm going there tonight to settle this once and for all. Luhan doesn't know about this and I don't plan to let him know about this until it is settled."

"But Jin Sae-"

"No buts. I'm handling this the way I think should be handled and I'll do all it takes to protect Luhan's image." 

"What about.. you?" Minho croaked out softly before Jin Sae sighed this time. "It's not important right now. What's important is we can't let her expose those pictures. You know how the media is like and you know how they'll twist all the thing up and before you know it, EXO-M and Luhan will have their own anti cafes."

"We won't interfere with the way you deal things in one condition," Sehun said as he held up a finger. "What?" She snapped at the two of them before Minho and Sehun gave each other a look. "We're helping you on this." Sehun said before she turned to look at Minho who nodded his head. "Fine." Jin Sae breathed out before she opened the door to leave the store room.
