Donghae was walking to his family’s villa but stopped when he realized there was no one beside him. He turned around. “Yah~ what are you doing?”

Yoona bowed her head, observing how she looked. She lifted her up and looked at Donghae while pouting her lips. “How do I look?”

“Aish… seriously…” Donghae went to her and pulled her along with him. “You know what, you have asked many times about that! You are the prettiest girl that I have ever seen! Satisfied now, huh?”

“Just… my heart is beating so fast… I feel like it’s going to burst…”

“It’s okay, just be relaxed.” He patted her shoulders to comfort her. They walked to the villa. Donghae opened the door and held Yoona’s hand, entering the villa.

Donghae’s mother welcomed them. “Oh, you are here. Come!”

Yoona tried to give the brightest smile to cover up her nervousness. “Hello, auntie.” She bowed her body.

Donghae’s mother gave a hug to Yoona. “You don’t have to be too formal. How have you been?”

“I’m fine.” She nodded.

“It has been long since we last met. It’s really nice to see you again. Auntie has been wanting to see you.”

“Yes, me too. I’m sorry that only today I can visit auntie.”

“No, it’s okay.” Donghae’s mother patted Yoona’s shoulder warmly. “You look really pretty.”

Yoona started to feel more relaxed. “Yes~ thank you.” She replied bashfully.

Donghae just smiled in satisfaction seeing their good relationship. “Oh right! Donghae, can mom speak with you a while?”

“Oh? Can’t we talk later?”

“No, this is important.”

“O… ok.”

“Yoona, can you go to the living room by yourself? Donghae and I will come later.”

“Y… yes, sure.” Yoona looked a bit nervous when seeing Donghae and her mother went into a room to talk about something. Somehow, that made her felt uneasy.

“Mom, what is so important that you are willing to let Yoona wait?”


“Yoonhee is here but mom didn’t ask her to come.”

“Yoonhee is here? So?” Donghae didn’t seem to get what his mother was going to say.

“Have Yoona known about your previous relationship with her?”

“Yes.” Donghae nodded.

“So, don’t you think it’ll be a problem later?”

“No, of course not.” He smiled. “She understands about that.”

“Yah! You are really…” His mom hit his arm. “You really don’t understand woman’s heart! She might get upset. So, just be careful not to leave her out, okay?”

“Mom… you have been protective a lot over Yoona.” Donghae said while smiling happily.

“Of course! Who want to lose a precious daughter-in-law like her?” His mother replied proudly.

“Mom, you really like her?” Donghae asked in happiness.

“Yes, I’m sure that she is really nice girl. There is no one who is more suitable for you except her. That’s why, I want to introduce her to your father.”

“Thank you, mom!” Donghae hugged his mother tightly.

“Y… yah~ mom can’t breathe!”

The maid brought Yoona into the living room. “Please sit here.” She asked Yoona to take a seat on the sofa. “Madam and young master will come later.”

“Ok, thank you.” Yoona sat on the sofa as the maid walked away. As she was waiting for them, she observed the villa. There was no so much change since her last visit. This is the second time she came to this villa but the feeling was very different compared to before.

She heard a girl’s voice which sounded from the upstairs. “Thank you, uncle.” Yoona lifted her head up and saw a beautiful girl came to downstairs. ‘Who is she? Is she Donghae’s sister? But, he is the only son… who exactly is she?’ Yoona thought.

As she tried to guess, that girl greeted her, “Hi.” She took a seat in front of Yoona.

Yoona was quite startled since she wasn’t aware of her appearance. “H… hi…”

“My name is Park Yoonhee. It’s nice to meet you.” She introduced herself.

“Yoonhee? Park Yoonhee?” That name was quite familiar to Yoona.

“Yes…” Yoonhee nodded.

Yoona’s eyes suddenly got bigger as she remembered who that girl was. Donghae’s first love! Her expression changed. She was really beautiful and dressed elegantly, no wonder she’s his first love. Somehow, Yoona felt quite sad.

“But… who are you?” Yoonhee asked after Yoona didn’t show any sign that she was going to introduce herself.

“Huh? I’m…”

“She’s my girlfriend.” Another voice interrupted their awkward conversation.

“Oh, Donghae!” Yoonhee exclaimed excitedly and immediately got up and gave a tight hug to Donghae. Donghae obviously looked quite shocked with her hug especially in front of Yoona. Yoona just saw them with a frown on her face. She let him go. “It has been long since we meet. I’m really happy.”

Donghae looked at Yoona in anxiousness. She did look mad. “Y… yes…” He replied awkwardly to Yoonhee. To fix the situation, Donghae immediately went to Yoona and held her hand, forcing her to get up. “This is my girlfriend.” He introduced Yoona confidently.

“Oh, really?” Yoonhee asked while smiling.
Honestly, that made Yoona felt better. She smiled and introduced herself. “I’m Im Yoona.”

“She’s pretty, right?”

“Yes, she is very pretty, much prettier than me!” Yoonhee replied happily. Yoona just smiled bashfully.

“Are you happy now?” Donghae whispered to Yoona.

“What?” Yoona gave a fierce glare to him. “Did you do that just because I look mad? You really…” She whispered to him back in anger.

“You are jealous, aren’t you?”

“Who said I’m jealous? Hm?! Hm?!” She hit him continuously.

“Ouch! Ouch!” Donghae tried to protect himself from being hit by Yoona. “It hurts!” He exclaimed while laughing.

“You guys really look good together.” Yoonhee interrupted while smiling towards them. They replied her smile.

“Yoonhee, let’s eat with us.”

“Ok!” Yoonhee went to the dining table first.

Donghae looked at Yoona. “Don’t worry too much, ok?”

“I’m not worried at all.” She showed her cold expression.

“Ceh!” Donghae burst into chuckle.

“What?!” Yoona looked annoyed. She seemed like wanting to scold him. “You are…”

“Ssshhh.” Donghae put his index finger at her lips which shut immediately. “You don’t have to tell me. I know everything.”

“Ceh!” She glared at him.

He smiled widely. “Let’s go! I’m starving!” He rubbed his stomach. He held her hand and they both went to the dining room.

Onew walked to the park in the neighbors like Jessica asked him to meet her there. He saw her who was sitting on the swing and he smiled. He walked cautiously, trying to shock her. “Woah!” He put his hands on her shoulders.

“Argh!” She was startled. “What the~” She pouted her lips. “You shocked me.”

He laughed happily and took a seat on the swing beside her. “Just… you look so serious. Anyways, is there anything? Why do you want to see me?” Jessica stared into his eyes. She frowned. “Huh? Why?” He looked anxious.

“Do I need to have a reason to see my boyfriend?”

“No, that doesn’t what I meant. I just think that you have something to tell me.” He stared into her eyes.

“The weather is really nice, isn’t it?” Jessica avoided his stare and lifted her head up, staring at the sky.

Onew didn’t think too much about it since he thought maybe she was just too tired. “Yes.” Then, the atmosphere became silent as they didn’t have any topic to talk about. Somehow, they felt something was wrong or precisely only Onew wasn’t aware what the reason was. “Talk to me honestly.” He continued their silent conversation.

“Yes?” Jessica looked a bit shocked. “Y… yes… what is it?”

“Is there anything bothering you?”

“Huh? What are you talking about? Of course not!” Onew didn’t seem to believe into her words. “Hm… push me!” She asked while smiling widely, obviously she wanted to avoid talking about what he was asking.

“What?”

“Push me!” She held her swing giving a sign to him. “Hurry up!”

“Alright.” He smiled and went to her back. He pushed the swing lightly.

“Higher!” She added excitedly.

“Really? Then, I’ll push as high as I can!” Onew replied in his warning tone.

“Argghhh~” Jessica’s shout occupied the surrounding space. “Onew!”

“Why? You want me to push harder?” He pretended to not understand what she meant.

“No! Please help me to slow it down!”

“If I’m not mistaken, you want me to push you higher, right?” Instead of helping her to slow it down, he still pushed it.

“Yah! Do you want to die?!”

Onew let out a chuckle before helping her to slow it down. After it slowed down, Jessica turned her head back and glared at him. “It’s fun?”

“Ceh!” She gave her icy glare which caused him to smile widely. He pushed her swing slowly. After a hesitation, she finally decided to tell the truth. “Lee Jinki…”

“Huh?” He was quite shocked hearing her call his real name somehow in depressing tone. She was silent, still hesitated. To ease the atmosphere, he joked, “Jung Soyeon! Did you do something wrong behind my back? You maybe…. Steal my books, huh?”

“No… actually, my family will move to US next week.”

“What?” He seemed shocked and froze until he didn’t realize of the swing of Jessica rode, went to him and hit him. “Ouch!” He fell to the ground.

“Oh!” Jessica jumped from the swing and went to him to check it out. “Are you okay? Huh? Are you really okay?”

“Yes, I’m fine…” He gave her a little smile while rubbing his arm.

“It must be really hurt! Let’s me see it.” Jessica folded his sleeve. “Oh! It’s red!” She looked at him in worry.

“It’s okay. It will be gone soon. What did you say before? Are you going to move to US?”

“My family will move to US soon and I also have to…” She smiled while adding, “If you want to stay here, I’ll.”

Onew was silent for a while before answering, “It’s okay. You can go with your family. I’ll wait for you.”

Jessica was shocked since it wasn’t the answer that she expected from Onew. “But… I don’t know how long I’ll stay there with them.”

“No, it’s okay. It doesn’t matter how long it is, I’ll wait for you.” He forced a smile as he himself found it was hard to stay away from her.

She couldn’t hide her disappointment anymore. “Do you mean that you don’t mind whether I’m by your side or not?! Or, you really want me to go away from your life, huh?”

“What are you talking about?! Of course not!” He got up while pulling her to get up too. “Listen here.” He held both of her shoulders. “I want you to stay here but I don’t want you to be sad. I want you to decide what you really want. I will respect any decision that you want to take, ok?”

“Ceh! Don’t beat around the bush! Just say that you really don’t mind if I’m not here! Alright, I’ll go as you want! Hmph!” She flung off his hands from her shoulders and walked away.

“Jessica! Wait! Sica-yah!” He ran after her. He stopped her by grabbing her arm. “No, that’s not what I meant. I really want to you to stay here but it’s really up to your choice. I love you very much, that’s why I want you to be happy. So, you should think wisely. I know your family is really important to you.” Jessica didn’t reply and she avoided his gaze. “Do you understand now?”

“Hm…” She said yes in half-disagreement.

“Look at me.”

“Why?”

“Are you still mad?”

“No…” She looked at him with angry expression though she didn’t want to show it.

“Jessica, don’t be like this…” He caressed her cheek. “As long as we love each other, as long as we want each other, these are enough for me to wait for your return. Don’t worry, I won’t find other girl.”

“If you really do that, you are dead!” She said firmly.

“Yes~” He replied cutely. He squatted down. “Get on my back.”

“Why?”

“As you are still here, I want to take care of you as much as I can. This may be the last time I will carry you on my back.”

“What is this?!” She stomped her legs in anger. “Do you want me to go to US that much?!”

“Jessica… I thought you have understood about it.”

“What do you mean by understand?! From your words, I always feel like you are not wishing me to stay here at all!”

“That’s really not what I want! Like I said before, I just want you to be happy by taking the right decision, the decision that you want. Let’s not argue about this anymore, let’s just spend time together happily.”

“Alright…” She got on his back and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Honestly, she was very disappointed with him. His words made she felt that his love wasn’t strong enough. If he just said ‘I want you to stay here’, she would immediately decide to not go. It seemed he was okay without her. Actually, she already decided to stay here especially thinking about her career and her friends here, she didn’t feel like leaving them but what Onew wanted affected her decision the most. If he was okay without her, why should she stay here? She felt so pathetic!

“Bad guy…” She mumbled.

“Huh? What did you say?”

“Nothing.” She rested her head on his shoulder.

Onew brought Jessica into her room and put her on the bed. She still could fell asleep on his back which Onew found it was so cute. He decided to stay by her side for a while. He smiled while staring at her face.

Honestly, he wanted, really wanted her to stay by his side. He wanted to see her every day. But, he thought that was too selfish for asking her to stay. That’s why he just silently hoped that she would choose to stay.

Yuri was resting in her room while reading a book. She decided to spend the night at her family’s house as it had been long since she stayed at home and she really missed her family too.

Suddenly, her cell phone on the table rang. She looked at the caller’s name and smiled widely after that. She picked up the call. “Why? You already miss me now?”

“Don’t you miss me too?” Minho sounded mad like a little kid.

“It hasn’t been a day since I left you!”

“Now, you are telling me you don’t miss me at all?!” He sounded serious. Instead of answering his question, she laughed happily. “Are you really okay with that? We might not see each other for a week.”

“What?!” She asked in shock. She seemed worried. “Y… you… you are joking, isn’t it?” She smiled afterwards. “I know! You are mad that I didn’t say I miss you, right? Ceh! You are always childish.”

“Yuri-ah… I’m serious.”

Suddenly, his seriousness caused her to feel uneasy. “Why? Anything happened to you?!”

“No, of course not, I’m fine. And, tell you the truth… I’m at home right now.”

“What did you say?!”

“I’m already discharged.”

“Really?!” She exclaimed excitedly while smiling widely. “That’s really good…” She paused. “But, why don’t you tell me at all?!” She sounded quite angry.

“I’m really sorry~” He replied cutely. “Just… everything is so fast that I couldn’t even telling you.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’m at my family’s house. My mother found out about my condition and she asked me to stay at home until I got fully recovered. That’s why, we may not be to see each other for now. It’s really okay?”

“Well… you are supposed to rest, right? Never mind, I don’t want to disturb you. Let’s just meet next week, ok?” She looked obvious sad as she couldn’t see him for a week.

“It might be long than a week.”

“Why?”

“I don’t know when I will get fully recovered. It’s okay… I know, you are okay without seeing me for long, right? You won’t even miss me at all.”

“Yah~ I’m just kidding… I really miss you too. Honestly, right now, I really want to see you.”

“Why did you say? I don’t hear.” He pretended to not hear what she said.

“No, no. I don’t want to repeat it again.” She could sense immediately his little trick.

“Hmmm~ tell me once again~” He used his cuteness to get what he wanted from Yuri. His cute voice caused Yuri to burst into laughter.

Suddenly, there was someone taking her cell phone from her hand. “Hello.”

“Yah, Kwon Seokhyun! Give it back to me!” Yuri asked her cell phone from her little brother.

“Oh? Who is this?”

“I’m the one should asking that question.” Seokhyun replied seriously. “Who are you? Why are you talking to my noona?”

“Seokhyun-ah! Talk nicely to him!”

Minho looked a bit shocked with the way with Seokhyun talked but he was happy to know that Yuri had a little brother especially he was protective over his sister. They must be close to each other. “Hello, I’m Choi Minho, your future brother-in-law.”

“WHAT?!” Seokhyun asked in disbelief. “Brother-in-law?!”

Yuri just laughed listening how Minho talked to Seokhyun.

“Not yet but I’ll be one day.” Minho added.

“No! Impossible!” Seokhyun replied strictly. “I don’t want my noona get hurt!”

“Seokhyun! What are you talking about? Give it back to me.” Yuri snatched her cell phone back.

“Noona! I just want to protect you.”

“Aish! You are always talking nonsense.” She talked back to Minho. “Hello? I’m sorry on my brother’s behalf.” She said apologetically.

“No, it’s okay. I understand but can you put him on the phone back?”

“Huh? Why? Minho, don’t take it to heart. He’s just kidding.” Yuri gave a fierce glare to Seokhyun.

“What?!” Seokhyun shrugged like he was innocent.

“I just want to talk to him, please?”

“A… alright.” Yuri gave the cell phone to Seokhyun.

“Let’s meet some day.”

“For what?”

“I want to show you that I deserve to get the blessing from you for being with your sister.”

“What do you mean? If I disapprove your relationship with my noona, does that mean you will stop seeing her?”

“Yes because I know family is very important. I only can be happy with the blessing of Yuri’s family. But, please don’t misunderstand. It doesn’t mean that I’ll let her go easily. I mean that I will do anything to get your blessing.”

“Why? For what you are willing to do that?”

“It’s because I really love your sister. I promise that I won’t hurt her but you still can’t believe hyung, right? That’s why, I’m going to prove it to you.”

Somehow, Seokhyun’s impression towards Minho started to change a bit. He finally decided to accept his request. He wanted to give Minho a chance to prove that he really deserved his precious sister. “Ok, let’s do that. I’m looking forward to meet you soon.”

“Ok, thank you.” Minho smiled widely.

Seokhyun gave the cell phone to Yuri. She looked confused and curious of the conversation that they were talking about. “Hello?” Yuri’s eyes were on Seokhyun who was walking out from her room. “Honestly… what are you talking about with Seokhyun?”

“Don’t worry about it. I promise you that your brother will accept me.”

Yuri chuckled. “Does that mean you won’t tell me anything about it? You guys even have secret now?”

“Anyways, take care. See you a week later.”

“A week?” Yuri sounded disappointed.

Minho chuckled. “See, how much you miss me when you said that you don’t even miss me at all?” Yuri pouted her lips. “I promise I’ll call you every day, ok? You can hear my voice every day.”

“Hm…” She agreed.

“Goodnight, my black pearl.”

“Goodnight, dummy!” Minho laughed when she showed her cute anger.

Donghae was driving the car while keeping taking a few glances towards Yoona. He thought everything was okay since his parents like Yoona very much and they even proudly talked to Yoonhee about Yoona. Somehow, this atmosphere right now seemed wasn’t too good. What’s wrong this time?

“Wow! There are fireworks!” Donghae said excitedly.

“Hm…” Yoona replied shortly without taking any glance what Donghae showed her and just kept her stare on the window.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Seriously, what’s wrong again this time?!”

“Are you asking because you don’t know?”

“What’s the use of asking if I already know?!”

“Yoonhee! You never told me that you still keep in touch with her!” Yoona finally said out what had been bothering her minds.

“Hey, I not keep in touch with her … but yes sometimes I will coincidentally meet her at my family’s house since she shares a great relationship with my parents. That’s all. You can check my contacts, I didn’t have her number.”

“Just… I’m just worried that you might have feelings towards her again.”

“You know, you really don’t have confidence in yourself… are you that scared of losing me to her?” He laughed.

“Yes… I mean, no! That’s not what I meant!”

“Just admit it, Im Yoona… You like me that much? Hohoho…” Donghae .

“Aish! Really…” She gave him a fierce glare.

“Hello, Yuri-ah.” Yoona answered the call.

“Yoona-yah, I’m at my family’s house now and I will spend the night here.”

“Ceh! How long do you want to leave me alone, huh?” She sounded quite mad.

“Yoona-yah…”

“No, no. I’m just kidding.” Yoona laughed. “Don’t worry, Fany is here. She sleeps with me.”

“She’s there? Can I talk to her?”

Yoona gave her cell phone to Tiffany. “Hello? Yurriiaahh~”

Yuri immediately laughed happily hearing Tiffany called her name with her Californian accent. “Yes~ I really miss that.”

“You know, my boyfriend is in Korea.”

“Mike is here? Wow! But… are you going to be okay?” Suddenly, Yuri sounded worried.

“What do you mean?”

“You like Hyunjoong, right? And, I’m sure that he likes you too.” Yuri boldly said out her opinion.

“Hey, of course not! That’s not true!” Tiffany immediately denied while raising her voice.

“Come on! Fany-ah, I know you! You are my friend!”

“Yuri-ah! Cut the crap!”

“Yuri-ah, you are absolutely right!” Yoona shouted which Yuri could hear it too.

“Yah! Both of you! Seriously…” Tiffany couldn’t fight with her two best friends and she could only sigh.
