You got up from your seat and slammed your hands on the table.

“WHAT?!” you started to grow furious.

“Uhm… Jiyeon ah… our company will go bankrupt if you didn’t agree with this. That company will help us.”

“Appa… why are you doing this…”

“I’m sorry, Jiyeon ah…”

You went home while crying.

“What did I do to deserve all of this?” you began sobbing.

Next thing you knew, you already fell asleep.

The next morning, you got ready for school. To your surprise, you saw Myungsoo waiting for you in your front door. Tears started to blur your eyes, but you held it in.

“Wh-what are you doing here? Get out!” you pushed him away.

“Let me explain first, alright?”

“I don’t need your explanation. I saw it in my own eyes. You cheater.”

“I-“

You cut him off and walked away.

*Please don’t be mad at me, Jiyeon…* Myungsoo thought.

You went to your classroom and sat in your seat. After a couple of minutes, you saw Hoya walking towards you.

*What is it this time…*you thought.

“Hey Jiyeon. Are you free later?” Hoya asked.

“Yeah. Why?”

“Do you want to hang out with me?”

“I don’t know.”

“C’mon. I’m sure you’ll have fun.” Hoya winked.

*There’ll be nothing wrong if I agreed, right?*

“Alright.” You agreed without knowing. 

“Yes!” Hoya pumped his fists and went to his seat.

You were ignoring Myungsoo the whole time although it hurts you so bad.

During lunch time, you and Myungsoo were alone in the classroom.

“Jiyeon ah, let me explain.”

*I won’t lose anything if I heard his explanation anyway…*

“Sure.”

“Really?!”

“Aish! Explain now, while I’m still in a good mood.”

“Okay… so this is what happened. I got drunk because of Hoya.”

“What?”

“Jiyeon. Please. Just trust me.”

“WHAT?!”

Those hurtful words you said made his heart shatter into pieces.

“No! Don’t do this to me. I rather die instead of you breaking up with me…”

*It hurts… but I have to… I’m engaged… and I need to do this for my family…*

“Sorry, Myungsoo.”

You walked away, but Myungsoo hugged you from behind.

*I believe what you said, Myungsoo. But I have to do this. It hurts to bad. But I have to.*

You abruptly let go of his hands and left him dumbfounded.

“Why are you doing this, Jiyeon…” Myungsoo started crying.
