AFTER THE STORM
For You In Full BloomThe doctor's prediction came true. But it came on later, after I freaked out of losing my consciousness in front of the entire school. Who knows what might happen if somebody decided to loosen my tie or undo the buttons on my shirt? That's like the number 1 rule when you deal with a person who fainted, make sure he has a lot of breathing space.
It didn't help matters when I opened my eyes and saw the creepy doctor unraveling my bandaged chest. I slapped his hands away and sat up quickly, but that proved to be a mistake. Pain exploded in my brain and I groaned loudly, shutting my eyes. I felt a hand pushed my body down and my head landed on the pillow softly.
"Stupid girl" Doc Kyu sneered.
I opened one eye and peeked at him. I grimaced when I saw his grinning face. "Why are you trying to molest me?" I said accusingly.
A look of pure shock appeared on his face. Then he threw back his head and laughed, his throat bobbing up and down. I huffed in annoyance.
His laughter subsided and he wiped a lone tear that escaped from the corner of his eyes. He flicked my forehead hard. "Yeah, you really are stupid. Don't you know you should never accept a candy from strangers?"
I rubbed my forehead vigorously. The creepy doc had a strong finger. "What are you talking about? Candy and stran-"
My words trailed off. My eyes widened as I remembered the throwing up, my queasy stomach, feeling sick. I only had a toast and coffee at breakfast...and also the drink from those 2 guys.
"Oh, they are so dead." I clenched my fist angrily. "And they wasted all my late night training too. Wait."
I directed my gaze at the doctor who was looking at me as he stuffed his mouth with a chocolate bar. "I...didn't win?" I asked in a small voice.
"Nope." He answered cheerfully as he broke off a piece of chocolate and chewed it loudly.
I was seeing red. All those running for nothing. Wasted. "Oh, they are so dead."
Doc Kyu his fingers that were smeared with chocolate and gestured at me. "You shouldn't tie your bandage that tight. It's bad for your circulation. You know, you're a growing teenage girl and all."
I made a hushing sound as my eyes darted around to see if anybody heard his words. Although his office was at the end of the ground floor, I didn't want to take any chances of someone eavesdropping on us.
"You don't have to take it off, you know. You're so erted." I glared at him as I slowly sat up to avoid the rushi
