CHANYEOL TO THE RESCUE
For You In Full BloomHaneul's POV
I watched Lay sunbae walked away with Chen n Baekhyun in bewilderment. Is he taking them with us to the office? But then I was confused beyond hell when I saw that they headed towards the front gate and out of the school.
Chanyeol tapped me on the shoulder and I had to crane my neck to look up at him.
"Are you okay? Thanks to you, Lay hyung didn't fall into the puddle, if not, we'd be in a bigger mess." Chanyeol said sheepishly as he rubbed his neck in embarrasment.
I pointed at the trio's back. "Where are they going?"
"Back to the dorm, I guess. It's nearly dinner time." He said casually as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. He jerked his chin at me. "You have plans with Lay hyung?"
I stammered. "I guess so?"
Chanyeol flashed me a creepy smile, and I stepped back instinctively. "Lay hyung must have forgotten about you, then. He's always like that, doing one thing when he should be doing something else. Too bad, though." He added quickly when he saw my face.
I didn't know how my expression looked like but I guess it must have been bad because Chanyeol suddenly realised we're the only ones at the school courtyard right now. The after school curriculum had ended a while ago and everybody was at the dorm having dinner now.
I opened my mouth to say that I'm fine, dont worry about me, when I burst into tears instead. I crouched down on the courtyard and buried my face in hands, my body shook violently.
I didn't know why I cried like that, maybe I finally saw how things could go wrong in the blink of an eye. Like what happened with Lay sunbae.
I was late for training with Chen n Baekhyun, so I stayed 15 minutes later than I usually trained. I was so tired and hungry that I must have forgotten to lock the door to the Music Room where I always got changed.
Chen n Baekhyun wondered why I never go into the locker room with them. But I told them I have a phobia of locker rooms due to being locked by bullies in my old school. They nodded sympathetically while I tried my hardest not to blush at the lies.
When the light flashed on, I froze as my eyes followed Lay hyung's every movement. He didn't seem to notice me yet so my brain kept yelling to my feet to get a move on and hide. But the command failed to make my feet, or any other parts of my body, moved at all. Instead, I just stood there, frozen like a deer caught in the head lights, waiting for my impending doom.
I was still sobbing when I felt someone sat next to me in a hurry and wrapped their arms clumsily around my shoul
