Soo Hyun arrived half an hour later after dragging Hoya back to his shop. Once he entered the building he noticed his partner, Suzy, standing in a triangle with two officers, she was signing papers before handing it to them and from her movements, he could tell she was giving them tips to carry on. They nodded and bowed then once they left she caught his gaze. 

She smiled at him, her gentle and sincere smile. Sometimes Soo Hyun wonder why she became a detective, because like Ga In, she was the daughter of Chief Lee. Are all daughters of Chief of Police's detectives? So far that appears to be the case. 

Soo Hyun broke the gaze first and shoved his hands into his pockets before passing her, she pouted in disappointment as she watched him leave first without getting a smile in return.

In the elevator Suzy's arms were hidden behind her back as she peeks toward his direction a couple of times. It felt strange to see him so calm when she was used to a stubborn and active Soo Hyun. 

Once the doors opened he was the first to step out and she followed calmly. They didn't exchange a single word as they waited outside the Chief's office, waiting for his permission to allow them to enter. When a short "come in" could be heard, Soo Hyun turned the knob and entered first. 

At the lounging area where he had kept the same since Jae Suk's death, Chief Lee was sitting alone with a packet lying alone on the table top. Soo Hyun sat to the long couch to Chief Lee's right, where he and Ga In would always sit, while Suzy took the couch to the left and across from Soo Hyun.

"How long has it been since I've seen you two together? Soo Hyun, I know you have work but make sure Suzy goes with you from now on. It looks bad in front of the others if she's always left behind." The older man insisted and Soo Hyun nodded once, then he locked his eyes on the envelope. 

"What's this sir?"

"A new case I'm going to assign to you and Suzy, think of it as a gift from me to get you two closer." The older man respond softly, but Soo Hyun had no interest to get any closer to anyone else. He looked Sung Jae in the eyes. 

"Which case...?" 

"Daniel Henney, half Korean, half Irish, the grandson of Cheon Ho Jin's, Mayor of Seoul. This upcoming week the Mayor is planning to host a large party to celebrate his third wife's birthday. I heard Daniel Henney was invited and may be attending." 

"Daniel Henney the man who was free of charges two years ago after the murder of the Seo family?" Soo Hyun asked, recalling the familiar name. Sung Jae nodded and heaved a depress sigh. 

"I know it will be difficult to deal with the mayor, seeing that he has so much authority. But I trust that you and Suzy will be able to bring justice to the innocent Seo family." 

A cunning smile spread across Soo Hyun's face, "You're not telling us to attend his party as guests to sniff around are you?" 

"Confront the man, Daniel Henney, do whatever you can to bring him in. If any further and stronger evidence is required to put him in jail then find those pieces of evidence. Use whatever method you wish, he is a dangerous man who needs to be put down as quickly as possible." 

"And what if I pass-?" Before Soo Hyun could outsmart the guy he snapped at him. 

"Are you going to disobey my order? You spend every second of your time catching citizens on the streets, why is it that when a real case is in the palms of your hands you won't owe up to it?!" 

"You know why Chief." Soo Hyun said calmly locking eyes with him. 

"It's time you quit trying to find a person who no longer exist, I'm not like Chief Yoo. People who needs to be put down will be put down under my command. Unless you don't want to be a detective anymore you may-" 

Soo Hyun cut him off mid-sentence,
