hapter XXIX - Framed -Myungsoo entered the tiny room where Ga In and Soo Hyun had fallen asleep in. Soo Hyun was lying on the ground while Ga In slept with her head hidden in her folded arms on the desk. Myungsoo entered and clicked his tongue at the sight. "Seriously...." On the table he noticed the bag of handcuffs was empty.
Myungsoo walked over and kicked Soo Hyun's legs, the man flinched at the sudden kick and opened his eyes to see who was bothering him. "Wake up, why are you sleeping on the ground?"
Soo Hyun looked scanned the room and sat up, rubbing his eyes. Then when he noticed Myungsoo taking a closer step to Ga In to wake her, he grabbed onto the legs of Ga In's chair and slide her back. Ga In dropped her arms and head and groaned as she stretched her back.
The two men exchanged glances until Myungsoo released an unbelievable sigh while Soo Hyun got to his feet and checked if Ga In was okay.
"Ah." Ga In groaned some more as she placed a hand around her nape.
"Are you alright?" Soo Hyun asked as he squatted before her and gently hold around her elbow. Ga In sighed and slap Soo Hyun on the cheeks a little.
"Did you pull my chair?" She asked with a cold tone.
"Yeah sorry.... It's morning, let's wash up." Soo Hyun said, Ga In gave in with a slight nod and the two stood upright together. Myungsoo scoffed at the sight.
"What's this? You're going to wash together?" He asked and Soo Hyun shot him a death look.
"Why? We can't?"
Myungsoo rubbed his chin, "No, of course you can. Go right ahead and come back quickly. We have a lot more to discuss." He said in a normal tone.
After some time as they were gone, Myungsoo pushed the chairs back in and then the opening of the door caught his attention. It was Detective Choi Siwon. "W-where is Ga In and Soo Hyun?"
"Why?"
"R-representative Lee Byung Hun is de-dead."
"What?" Myungsoo asked with wide eyes and Siwon caught his breath after he have been running around the whole building looking for them.
"L-Lee Byung Hun is dead and-and they found an item that belonged to-to Soo Hyun."
Myungsoo squinted a little.
Soo Hyun was washing his face with the handsoap. Once he was done he turned off the faucet and dried his hands and face with the rag hanging on one side of the wall. As he was drying himself, Ga In walked into the room after checking to see if there was anyone else around.
She walked over and stood a little behind him, Soo Hyun lowered the rag and her presence reflected on the mirror made him jump. He hopped a little and spun around, his face drained of colors. "O-oh are you already done washing?" He asked trying to keep his cool.
"Yeah, you were taking a while so I came in to check on you." Ga In replied and he nodded before returning the rag to its original place. Soo Hyun then turned around and cupped Ga In's face. "Let me take a look first, in case you miss a spot."
He examined Ga In's face carefully as she allowed him to. Soo Hyun paused when he remembered Myungsoo bringing up Sunggyu's name as the murderer of Ga In's mother. A wave of remorsed washed over him and gently Ga In cupped his jawline as well and cut off his train of thoughts.
"What's bothering you?" She asked in a whisper, Soo Hyun loosen his face a little when he could feel himself frowning. He then changed the topic.
"You washed up well." He complimented and earned a half scoff half smile from her.
"You did well cleaning your face too."
They smiled as they looked into each other eyes. Then the door swung wide open and they dropped their hands and arms in unison. It was Siwon, looking as worried as ever. "You two, come with me. NOW!"
Jae Suk dropped the black device on the table and placed both hands on his hips. Ga In was sitting with Soo Hyun while Myungsoo sat alone on the couch across from them. "Soo Hyun, do you want to explain this to me? Why is your phone found on the deceased Lee Byung Hun's body?!" Jae Suk asked in a loud voice.
"Lee Byung Hun is dead you said?" Ga In asked, Jae Suk sighed and nodded.
"My phone?" Soo Hyun asked an
