Soo Hyun made sure his appearance was presentable as he stood outside the Chief of Police's office, taking deep breaths and prepared to enter. Once he make his entrance, a pen came flying his direction and he caught it without blinking. He examined the pen and a smile grew on his face when he noticed it was a Hello Kitty pen. 

Then he looked over to the desk and saw Chief Lee Sung Jae standing alone, watching him. An impressed smile grew on his face as well as he wait for Soo Hyun's to close in on him. Soo Hyun approached him and placed the pen on the man's desk, then he greeted the man with a bow before eyeing him. 

"Impressive, when did you learn how to catch pens?"

Soo Hyun covered his short smile with a finger then readjust his composure, ready to answer. "I never learned it but I've seen it caught by a true master." He remembered that one day when Ga In saved his face from the flying pen thrown by Jae Suk. Was he intended to kill them? To this day Soo Hyun was still unsure of the reason, but seeing that Chief Lee had done the exact same thing, he decided to find out. 

Chief Lee dropped in his chair and released a strong sigh as he sat and made himself comfortable. "Chief, may I ask you a question." Soo Hyun started and the older man looked up, listening carefully. "Why do Chiefs throw pens at their subordinate?"

Chief Lee laughed at the unexpectedly question, "Because we get bored once in a while, so throwing pens around the room is considered a hobby to release stress." Soo Hyun blinked blankly at his answer, he couldn't understand that logic, and when the latter noticed it made no sense to Soo Hyun, he quickly changed the topic. "Putting that aside, I heard you you've brought in another one today?"

"Yes."

"Doesn't that make it the tenth man today?" He asked with an unsure frowned and Soo Hyun hummed. Chief Lee intertwined his fingers and dropped his elbows to the table. "I heard you brought them in due to their appearances and not to actual and existed crimes?"

Soo Hyun straighten his back, "Yes, I believe anyone who pretends or looks like a thug, gangster, or criminal should be taken in for questioning." 

"What kind of questions?" 

"Questions regarding to the department's most important case five years since." 

"You mean the former and deceased Chief of Police, Chief Yoo's case?" Chief Lee asked with interest and Soo Hyun hummed once more. "But why? What can catching and running after innocent citizens with no criminal records 24/7 do any good to the case?" 

Soo Hyun cleared his throat in order to avoid indulging in any complication in his tone to carry the conversation smoothly. "My concern isn't about whether one is completely of a criminal record, it's the innocent citizens you speak of that creates criminal records. Before we allow any of them to meet that level of criminal activity that would require to bring them in, let's make sure they won't go there in the first place."

Chief Lee's eyebrows raised a little as a sign of agreement, "Then, what about those who may not look or act like those of a criminal or thugs but commits a crime?"

"What about them sir?"

"Well.... You said we should work on keeping the innocent from commiting and creating those records and files, so what about those that appear completely innocent?"

Soo Hyun process the man's question carefully then reply in a matter of seconds, "Until I've possessed a certain kind of superpower that can read the human's mind, please stay on topic sir." 

Chief Lee scoffed a little, "So, until you can read the mind of the innocent, you will continue to search and bring in those who looks guilty even when they're innocent?"

"If I bring in everyone who looks guilty then I may be able to catch some that may have really commit a serious crime. Wouldn't that be enough for a good start?"

The older man chuckled, "There's really no end to your chain of reasons is there?"

"Not precisely, but there is only one end."

"And what is that?"

"The return of Detective Han Ga In." 

Soo Hyun left the office and tugged at his tie a little to loosen its tightness, he took the stairs and listened to the clicking of his heels as he stepped down on every steps. "This Chief, he has so many questions." Soo Hyun sighed.
