The next morning DongHyun was woken by Julia instead of BaoMing.

“Where is she?” he got up

“ Young master , Ming left this morning.” DongHyun felt his heart skip a beat.

“To where?”

“She said she was going to work today.” *Why would she go alone? It isn’t safe for her.*

“Did she go alone?” his voice tremble a little

“Aniyo…she left with Rocky sir. She said she would be back by this afternoon.” DongHyun sighs in relief.

BaoMing walks towards Lisa’s office. Her office was made up of three huge glass windows for walls with blinds and one brick wall separating her office from the other. She had four blue lounge chairs surrounding a coffee table. When BaoMing got to Lisa’s office Lisa was on her desktop searching through files in the system. BaoMing went and open the door to the office

“Annyeong, unnie.” She smiles. Lisa looks up and was surprise to see BaoMing.

“Ming… what are you doing here?” she stands up from her chair and walks towards BaoMing, “You should be at home resting.” Lisa grab BaoMing’s arm and guides her towards the lounge chairs. Lisa and BaoMing take a seat

“I know unnie I was just here to sign some papers and decided to check up on you.” BaoMing smiles at Lisa

“Why didn’t you just call me to come drop it off?”

“I’m not handicap, just injured.” BaoMing says with attitude

“And pregnant.” Lisa states. BaoMing’s smile slowly fades, “So what did DongHyun say to you?” Everything come running back to her mind: the contract and everything that happen at the hospital.

“He didn’t say much. He was just really surprise and didn’t know what to do afterwards.”

“Ohh…What about Minah?”

“He hasn’t told her yet.” BaoMing looks away

“When is he going to tell her?”

“She is away for a business trip, he said for about seven months or so.” BaoMing felt horrible for lying to her unnie, because she knew in her heart that she was going to be leaving. “Unnie?”

“Ne?”

“What would you do if I left?” Lisa looks at BaoMing

DongHyun was at his desk looking over documents and signing papers. His heart kept telling him things that he never knew before. He is worry about BaoMing and the baby, he haven’t felt like that in a long time, ever since Sunny passed away. He remembers that one fateful rainy night.

Flashback

DongHyun is sitting on the couch with his arm around a girl watching t.v.in the living room when the front door opens. They stands up to see a drench Sunny at the door.

“Sunny?” there was no words coming out of his mouth, “It not what you think.” Even though she was drench from the rain you could see her tears fall from her face.

“Sunny it not what it looks like. I fell asleep and –.” She got cut off by Sunny

“I don’t want to her it Jessica.” DongHyun stares at Sunny wanting to embrace her. Sunny on the other hand was full of emotion. She was so happy before she came through that door now she felt like her heart just thrown across the room.

“Sunny, listen to me babe.”

“I don’t want to hear it.” She looks at DongHyun in the eye, “ I- I thought, I thought you we were happy and here you’re doing this behind my back with my friend.” She slowly touches her stomach. They could hear the sadness in her voice. “It over Kim DongHyun,” DongHyun looks up and her, “It over between us.” She threw her ring on the floor and runs out the door to her car.

“Sunny!” he jumps over the couch and runs out the door, “Sunny wait!” He sees her pulling out of the driveway, “Sunny wait! Listen to me!” Sunny drives off into the distance.

“Oppa, mianhae I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.” Jessica sits on the couch on the verge of tears. DongHyun comes and sit next to her.

“It okay…I’ll explain to her when she gets back.” He looks at Jessica with a reassuring look, just then his phone rings, “Hello?”

“Is this DongHyun shi?” a male voice answers from the other side.

“Ne…who is this?”

“ Mr.DongHyun we have a car here that went off the road and with a dead body. We would like for you to come identify body.” DongHyun heart stopped beating for a quick sec, “Mr. DongHyun, Mr. DongHyun, are you okay?” 

“Oppa, what wrong?” Jessica asks, “Who is that on the phone?”

“What was type of car was it?”

“A red 2012 Toyota Camry, license number-.” As the police read off the license plate he felt his legs giveaway.

“ Oppa!” Jessica runs towards DongHyun, “Oppa what happen?” DongHyun’s eyes began to water.

“She gone.” He whispers to himself, “She gone Jessica.”

“Oppa, what are you saying?” Jessica was confuse

“Sunny is gone. She is dead.” His tears escape, “She dead Jessica.” Jessica hugs DongHyun and calms him down as tears escapes her eyes.

After DongHyun and Jessica went to the morgue to identify Sunny’s body he found out Sunny was about 2 months pregnant. He was devastated he didn’t just lose Sunny he lost his first child also.

DongHyun broke from his daydream, he wipe his tear away and starts signing again.

“Come in.” Yuri enters through the doors, “Yes, Yuri?”

“Mr. Kim your Mr. Jo is here to see you.”

“Which one?” Youngmin pops through the door

“Does it matter if it’s me or Kwangmin?” DongHyun looks at Youngmin and waves for Yuri to leave.

“It actually does because one annoys me and the other I despise.” Youngmin walk towards DongHyun desk and sits on the seat across from him,

“And which, if I may ask, would I be?”

“I’ll let you figure that out.” DongHyun smirks. Youngmin leans onto the desk and stares at DongHyun, “ What?”

“Hyung aren’t you supposed to be at home with BaoMing?” DongHyun stop signing papers and looks at Youngmin

“Why?”

“Will I was thinking, you know, since she is pregnant and injure wouldn’t it be okay for you to stay home for a couple of days.”

“She can take care of herself; I have better things to do.”

“Hyung what better things do you have to do? You can’t fool around Minah is already gone and I know you are tired of signing these papers.” DongHyun looks down at his pile of unsigned documents, “Hyung how about we go dance? We need to practice too you know.”

“Youngmin, I know but I don’t have the time.” Youngmin stands up and leans in towards, “Hyung, ajusshi is coming back to work in a couple of days so I don’t know why your acting like this.”

DongHyun himself didn’t know why he was trying to avoid everyone. He felt as if the world was looking for every reason to get at him for what he did to BaoMing.

BaoMing is looking out of the backseat window. Was she really going to go through this deal? She touches her stomach and thought about how the baby would look like.

“Madam, are you okay?” asks Rocky, she broke from her thinking

“Yes, I’m fine.” She stop and thought for a sec, “Rocky?”

“Ne madam.”

“How long have you known DongHyun?”

“I’ve known master since his middle school days. Is something the matter?”

“Not really, I just want to know more about DongHyun’s pass.”

“What would you like to know about?” BaoMing stops to think.

“How about his past marriages?” Rocky hesitates

“Are you sure?”BaoMing nods her head, Rocky sighs, “Young master’s first wife was his childhood sweet heart; her name was Lee Sunny. She was beautiful. Young master and she got married right after they graduated. I still remember the smile he had on his face when she said yes. His smile was as bright as day.” BaoMing felt kind of jealous and sad at the same time.

“ What happen to her?”

“Sunny and Young master got into a misunderstanding and she drove off from home on a rainy night. Her car spun out of control and she went off the road. The sad thing was that she was also pregnant and no one knew.”

“What about his second wife?” Rocky stays quiet

“She was the reason why Sunny and young master had a misunderstanding. She was Sunny’s friend; I believe her name was Jessica Jung. She stayed around after Sunny’s passing. DongHyun would only speak to Jessica and eventually they got married. But Jessica ran off 2 years later with Young master’s money and left him to deal with her ex boyfriend.”

“Annyeong Hyung nim” a young man about mid 20 comes to Eunhyuk’s side.

“Did you get the job done like I told you to?”

“Mianhae Hyuk Jae hyung nim, I didn’t expect for that many people to be there.”

“How many?”

“From what I seen it looks like 6 main officers and about 5 back up. I manage only to injure one of them.” Eunhyuk turns away in disgust, “But she seem very important to him.” He stops in his place.

“How do you know that?”

“He took her to the hospital after being stab in the shoulder by my dagger.” Eunhyuk looks at him with a cold stare.

“Who is she?”

It almost midnight and DongHyun wasn’t home yet. BaoMing began to worry because he had no bodyguards with him. She so worried that she forgot to eat dinner. While waiting for DongHyun she fell asleep on the couch. Not too long after DongHyun came home. He was tired and exhausted from work and dancing with the guys. Right when he closes the door he notices something on the couch. He looks over to find BaoMing sleeping in the sitting position. He walks slowly over to BaoMing and stares at her.

DongHyun Pov

When I pulled into the driveway I notice the living room light was still on.

“Is she still up?” I look at my watch it was 2 in the morning already, “What is she still doing up?” I walk towards the house and unlock the door. When I got in the house something white caught my eye. *What is that?* I walk over to find her sleeping while sitting. I couldn’t help but stare at her for a bit. *You know up close she is actually very cute.*

She suddenly started to move and her eyes open. We were face to face with each other. I move back quickly before she realizes anything.

“You’re home.” I try acting cool so she wouldn't notice.

“Ne, I just got back.” I scratch the back of my head, “Why are you sleeping here?”

“I was waiting for you, so I stayed up and fell asleep.” She looks so tired, must be a pregnancy thing, “Are you hungry? I'll cook something for you to eat.” I look at her, *did she not eat.*

“Did you eat at all?” she gave me guilty look, “Waeyo? You know it isn’t good for the baby.”

“I forgot…I was worried about you.” I felt my anger rise.

“Forget about me for a sec and think about the baby, will you. If you aren’t eating the baby isn’t eating.” She look terrified as if I was about to hit her. Is this how she really looks when I scold her? I raise my hand and she flinches, I grab her wrist, “C’mon let me go cook something for you to eat.” We head towards the kitchen. I made her sit at the counter while I took stuff out from the fridge. "I'm going to make you some dak-jook."

"Let me help you make it." I turn around to face her,

"Aniyo, you are going to sit there and watch me cook it." 

BaoMing Pov

He took a hold of my wrist and pull me up from the couch.

"C'mon let me go cook something for you to eat." He drags me towards the kitchen and made me sit at the counter. he went straight towards the fridge and took out ingredients."I'm going to make you some dak-jook" *he actually knew how to ake that. I don't trust him.*

"Let me help you make it." he turnsa round and face me.

"Aniyo, you are going to sit there and watch me cook it." he went straight back to cooking. I watch him as he cook. I guess it is as they say, a man who knows how to cook is y. He was so concentrated, I don't think he notice me staring at him. Almost an hour or so later he turns around and sets a bowl of his dak-jook in front of me.

"Here," he gives me a spoon. I took it and took a spoonful of the porridge. It was pretty good and the baby wasn't rejecting it,"How does it tastes?"

"It good. How did you learn to make this?"

"Umma taught me how to make it for...," he pauses for bit, "for my first wife when she got sick." I nod and contine eating the porridge. He kept staring at me the whole entire time as I finish the whole bowl.

"Why don't you eat some?" I notice there was still quite a bit left in the pot.

"It fine. You're person I need to worry about I can eat later." he took my bowl to the sink

"But you're the one I need to worry about." he stop washing the dishes and turns and looks at me, "It my mission to make sure that you're safe DongHyun." I stare into his eye their was a mixture of sadness and anger, "It also my duty as a wife to make sure you have the things you need." I gulp and sigh, "I don't care if you disagree with me."

"But it also you're duty as a mother to be to take care of the child." He raise his voice, "What if on the field something happens to you?" I stare at him, "What am I suppose to do?" there was nothing but silence in the room.

*did he acutally care that much. No. He in love with Song Minah. I'm just here until my job is finish and the baby is born then I'm leaving.*

"Nothing." I got up and walk towards the hallway, he block my way, "Get out of the way DongHyun."

"No. I want an explaination."

"For what? I have nothing to explain." I try to slip pass him but he move too quick.

"Why are you acting like this?" I had my head down, "I know it is your mission to protect me, but if i cant take up my role as a husband to protect you then how would I look?"

"DongHyun, our marriage isn't real. It a contract between you and me, no one else knows about it. When the child born and my job is finish I'll leave like we promise. My life, you don't need to worry about at all. I'm just a person passing through," I look at him, "so please don't be too nice and care about me too much." I sigh, "I'm going to go for a drive." I went and grab my jacket and my keys, "You should go to sleep you have to work tomorrow." I walk out the door.
