Its been a week since Nikki and Doojoon had their sudden and very surprising visit in London. And its also been a week of rejection and ignorance for Doojoon since Ha Rin never wants to talk to him whenever he tries to open a topic with her and Ha Rin’s friends too because her phone has been off for a week. Its different today because Nikki told Ha Rin to stop ignoring her friends’ phone calls and text messages.

 

“I really think you should call your friends back dongsaeng.” Nikki said as she and Ha Rin were cleaning the dishes after they had breakfast.

 

“And what? Tell them that, ‘Oh! Hi my friends, guess what my ex-boyfriend’s here and he’s living in my house for a month!’ I don’t think so unnie.” Ha Rin said sarcastically.

 

“But why?”

 

“You don’t know them unnie. They knew Doojoon oppa and my oppadeul might just kill him if they knew he’s here you know.” Ha Rin explained.

 

“So you don’t want Doojoon to get hurt now huh?” Nikki said teasingly.

 

“What? No! I want him to get hurt too. He deserves it. I just don’t want to have any trouble, having Doojoon around is enough trouble for me already.” Ha Rin said defensively.

 

“Fine. Whatever you say, but for me to stop bugging you about your phone just turn it on okay? That’s all I’m asking now.” Nikki finally gave up and demanded.

 

“Okay fine.” Ha Rin said and turned her phone on which was on her pocket all along and it made Nikki giggle. Ha Rin was confused and asked, “What are you laughing at now?”

 

“So you’re phone’s always with you all this time huh?” Nikki said between laughs. Ha Rin ignored her unnie’s little comment and went to the living room and sat on one of the sofas not talking to Doojoon who’s watching her carefully.

 

‘I still don’t know why she’s so cold around me.’ Doojoon thought. It was interrupted by Ha Rin’s phone ringing madly. Ha Rin answered it hesitantly and Doojoon just stared at the television, listening to Ha Rin’s phone conversation.

 

“Yoboseyo?” Ha Rin said.

 

“Araso. I’ll get ready.” Ha Rin said again through the other line and hung up the phone.

 

Ha Rin stood up, “Unnie! I’ll just take a shower upstairs okay?” Ha Rin yelled loud enough for Nikki to hear whose still in the kitchen.

 

“Who was that?” Doojoon asked curiously.

 

“Someone you don’t know.” Ha Rin answered him as she went upstairs to her room.

Ha Rin’s POV

 

After taking a shower, I picked a random outfit from my closet upon receiving a call from Jaejoong oppa. But I still don’t know where we’re going today, he just told me if I want to go somewhere and I said yes since I still owe him from accompanying me before. And I need to be out for awhile and stay away from this house with that Doojoon in it.

While I was combing my hair in front of the mirror, my phone rang and I quickly answered it.

 

“Ne oppa?”

 

“Are you ready? I’m here at Leeteuk hyung’s house. Come here first araso?” Jaejoong oppa said from the other line.

 

“Araso.” I said with a nod and hung up the phone. I grabbed my pouch bag and went out my room.

 

“Unnie!~ I’m going out for a while okay?” I said as I go down the stairs. As I pass by the living room Doojoon was looking at me. “What are you looking at?” I said frigidly.

 

“N-n-nothing. You just look so pretty with that dress of yours.” Doojoon said stutteringly. ‘Pssh! Now I’ll show you who you let go of.’ I thought.

“Annyong oppadeul!” I greeted as I entered Leeteuk oppa’s house. Since his parents are out of the country too for their own vacation.

 

“Hi dongsaeng!” Thunder oppa stood up and hugged me.

“Look at you dongsaeng, are you trying to impress someone with your dress?” Leeteuk oppa asked as he looked at Jaejoong who was just staring at me ever since I came in.

 

“Yah! Jaejoong-ah! Stop staring at my cousin like that, you might drool.” Leeteuk oppa said as he slapped Jaejoong oppa’s arm to wake him up from his daydream.

 

“O-oh y-yeah. Hi Ha Rin! You look adorably pretty in that dress of yours. Are you ready?” Jaejoong oppa asked as he stood up in front of me.

 

“Wait! How come that Teukie oppa allowed you to hang out with me? With just the two of us, ALONE. By the way, you don’t look bad yourself Jaejoong oppa.” I said and turned to look at Teukie oppa.

“Oppa, where are we going exactly? Why would I need a book like this?” Ha Rin asked curiously and with confusion.

I grab a hold of her hand as we walk through the park holding the picnic basket on my other hand. I found a spot just under the big tree and stopped, “We can sit here.” I said as I laid the blanket and Ha Rin sat down afterwards and smiled.

 

“We’re having a picnic oppa?!” Ha Rin asked excitedly.

 

“Yes we are, you don’t like it?” I asked.

 

She shook her head frantically, “No! I love picnics. Especially with the wind’s breeze, its calming and peaceful around. I love it.” Ha Rin said and smiled at me brightly as she feels the breeze of the air brush through her face and her shiny hair.

 

“I’m glad you liked it.” I said as I sat across her and get the food out of the basket. Ha Rin watched me carefully and asked, “You prepared all of these oppa?”

 

“Of course I did. I know how to cook Ha Rin. I have prepared both Korean and Western food just for us.” I said proudly as I open the lid of the food’s container.

 

“Hmmm!~ Delicious! Oh! Kimbap!” Ha Rin smelled the food and took one kimbap and put it straight into .

 

“So? How was it?” I asked as I saw her finished chewing. She raised thumbs up and ate more.

 

We ate most of the food that I prepared for almost an hour and now that we’re done stuffing ourselves with food Ha Rin started reading the book that Leeteuk hyung gave her.

I was reading the book that Leeteuk oppa gave me before we left and Jaejoong oppa laid down on my lap. I was surprised by his sudden movement so I said, “YAH! OPPA! What are you doing?”

 

“I’m sleepy. I want to take a nap on your lap, can’t I?” Jaejoong oppa said as he closed his eyes. I tried to lift his head away from me and said, “But this looks wrong, what if—“

 

“Look at those two, they look good and sweet together.” A grandma said to her husband as they walk past us.

 

“SEE! That’s what I’m trying to tell you oppa! They thought we’re a couple but we’re not, we’re just friends. Come on get up!” I said irritated. However, Jaejoong oppa didn’t move a tiny bit and just smiled with his eyes closed.

 

“Let them think what they want, friends can be like this around each other too so just keep quiet and read okay, as I take a nap.” He said and I didn’t argue more and just continued reading.

 

“Oppa?” I poked his cheeks after 2 straight hours of reading I got bored so I put it down for awhile.

“Why did you bring me here?” I asked.

 

“Hmmm. I just thought this would be a perfect place for you to relax and feel at peace for a while. This is the place I go to if I want to think through things or just simply feel the calming wind around the place.”

I showed this message to Jaejoong oppa and he checked his watch quickly. “4:30?!” He said loudly and sat up in an instant.

“We have to go NOW!” He said as he fold the blanket and since we already put the food containers back in the basket earlier we only had to fold the blanket which was already done by Jaejoong oppa. He grabbed my hand and we ran to his car, started the engine and drive off fast.

‘Airport?’ I asked myself in my thoughts as we stopped at the airport and I went out of car seeing Jaejoong oppa carrying his luggage and put it on a trolley.

 

“Why are we here? Wait! Are you trying to kidnapped me?!” I asked as I freaked out. Jaejoong oppa laughed as he pushed the trolley in front of us to the check-in counter.

 

“Can you please explain to me what’s going on?” I asked feeling frustrated once again since I don’t know what’s going on around me.

 

Jaejoong oppa stood before me holding both of my hands, “I’m leaving Ha Rin.” He said with so much sadness in his voice.

 

“What?! You’re leaving? Where are you going? When are you coming back? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I asked all of these questions at him all at once.

 

“Woah!~ Relax Ha Rin. I’m going to the US for a business trip, Leeteuk hyung knew about this that’s why he said yes when I asked him if I can hang out with you today. I don’t know when I will be able to come back because I have to go in every state of the States for meetings with our business partners. I didn’t tell you because I want to spend some time with you first before I leave.” Jaejoong oppa explained to me.

 

I punched his arm hard which made him winced in pain. “What was that for?!” He said.

“You’re a bad oppa! You’re like a brother to me and now you’re leaving me already?” I said between sobs.

I finally let go and faced Ha Rin again. “I’ll call you when I can okay? Its already time for boarding. Leeteuk hyung’s outside waiting for you, I’ll miss you my little cutie.” I said as I kissed her forehead as a good bye and walked off.

 

“Bye oppa!~ Take care okay?” She shouted and I just smiled. She turned her back at me and walked off.

Its been a week since Nikki and Doojoon had their sudden and very surprising visit in London. And its also been a week of rejection and ignorance for Doojoon since Ha Rin never wants to talk to him whenever he tries to open a topic with her and Ha Rin’s friends too because her phone has been off for a week. Its different today because Nikki told Ha Rin to stop ignoring her friends’ phone calls and text messages.

 

“I really think you should call your friends back dongsaeng.” Nikki said as she and Ha Rin were cleaning the dishes after they had breakfast.

 

“And what? Tell them that, ‘Oh! Hi my friends, guess what my ex-boyfriend’s here and he’s living in my house for a month!’ I don’t think so unnie.” Ha Rin said sarcastically.

I grab a hold of her hand as we walk through the park holding the picnic basket on my other hand. I found a spot just under the big tree and stopped, “We can sit here.” I said as I laid the blanket and Ha Rin sat down afterwards and smiled.

 

“We’re having a picnic oppa?!” Ha Rin asked excitedly.

 

“Yes we are, you don’t like it?” I asked.

 

She shook her head frantically, “No! I love picnics. Especially with the wind’s breeze, its calming and peaceful around. I love it.” Ha Rin said and smiled at me brightly as she feels the breeze of the air brush through her face and her shiny hair.

 

“I’m glad you liked it.” I said as I sat across her and get the food out of the basket. Ha Rin watched me carefully and asked, “You prepared all of these oppa?”

 

“Of course I did. I know how to cook Ha Rin. I have prepared both Korean and Western food just for us.” I said proudly as I open the lid of the food’s container.

 

“Hmmm!~ Delicious! Oh! Kimbap!” Ha Rin smelled the food and took one kimbap and put it straight into .

 

“So? How was it?” I asked as I saw her finished chewing. She raised thumbs up and ate more.

 

We ate most of the food that I prepared for almost an hour and now that we’re done stuffing ourselves with food Ha Rin started reading the book that Leeteuk hyung gave her.

Ha Rin’s POV

 

I was reading the book that Leeteuk oppa gave me before we left and Jaejoong oppa laid down on my lap. I was surprised by his sudden movement so I said, “YAH! OPPA! What are you doing?”

 

“I’m sleepy. I want to take a nap on your lap, can’t I?” Jaejoong oppa said as he closed his eyes. I tried to lift his head away from me and said, “But this looks wrong, what if—“

 

“Look at those two, they look good and sweet together.” A grandma said to her husband as they walk past us.

 

“SEE! That’s what I’m trying to tell you oppa! They thought we’re a couple but we’re not, we’re just friends. Come on get up!” I said irritated. However, Jaejoong oppa didn’t move a tiny bit and just smiled with his eyes closed.

 

“Let them think what they want, friends can be like this around each other too so just keep quiet and read okay, as I take a nap.” He said and I didn’t argue more and just continued reading.

 

“Oppa?” I poked his cheeks after 2 straight hours of reading I got bored so I put it down for awhile.

 

“Hmmm?”

 

“Why did you bring me here?” I asked.

 

“Hmmm. I just thought this would be a perfect place for you to relax and feel at peace for a while. This is the place I go to if I want to think through things or just simply feel the calming wind around the place.”

 

“Ah! Araso.” I said and a suddenly felt my phone vibrated. I opened it to see a text message from Teukie oppa.

 

Ask Jaejoong to check what time is it.

I showed this message to Jaejoong oppa and he checked his watch quickly. “4:30?!” He said loudly and sat up in an instant.

 

“Oppa! What’s wrong?” I asked worriedly.

 

“We have to go NOW!” He said as he fold the blanket and since we already put the food containers back in the basket earlier we only had to fold the blanket which was already done by Jaejoong oppa. He grabbed my hand and we ran to his car, started the engine and drive off fast.

‘Airport?’ I asked myself in my thoughts as we stopped at the airport and I went out of car seeing Jaejoong oppa carrying his luggage and put it on a trolley.

 

“Why are we here? Wait! Are you trying to kidnapped me?!” I asked as I freaked out. Jaejoong oppa laughed as he pushed the trolley in front of us to the check-in counter.

 

“Can you please explain to me what’s going on?” I asked feeling frustrated once again since I don’t know what’s going on around me.

 

Jaejoong oppa stood before me holding both of my hands, “I’m leaving Ha Rin.” He said with so much sadness in his voice.

 

“What?! You’re leaving? Where are you going? When are you coming back? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I asked all of these questions at him all at once.

 

“Woah!~ Relax Ha Rin. I’m going to the US for a business trip, Leeteuk hyung knew about this that’s why he said yes when I asked him if I can hang out with you today. I don’t know when I will be able to come back because I have to go in every state of the States for meetings with our business partners. I didn’t tell you because I want to spend some time with you first before I leave.” Jaejoong oppa explained to me.

 

I punched his arm hard which made him winced in pain. “What was that for?!” He said.

“You’re a bad oppa! You’re like a brother to me and now you’re leaving me already?” I said between sobs.

Jaejoong’s POV

 

“Just hug your oppa already!” I said and with that Ha Rin hugged me tightly. ‘A brother? Is that what I really mean to you Ha Rin? Not more than that?’ I thought sadly as I felt pain in my heart. I hugged back tighter not wanting to let go of her anymore.

 

I finally let go and faced Ha Rin again. “I’ll call you when I can okay? Its already time for boarding. Leeteuk hyung’s outside waiting for you, I’ll miss you my little cutie.” I said as I kissed her forehead as a good bye and walked off.

 

“Bye oppa!~ Take care okay?” She shouted and I just smiled. She turned her back at me and walked off.

 

‘I don’t know when I’ll see you again. So bye for now, my little cutie.’
