Kai’s POV

“Xiao di di*. You have been here for two weeks already. Are you not going back to Korea?” asked LuHan.

*Xiao di di: Little brother (in Chinese)

I shook my head.

“Waeyo? Are you chasing me back to Korea?” I retorted.

“Aniyo. It’s just that you have been lingering around in our dorm for the past two weeks, don’t you have anything else better to do in Korea?” LuHan questioned.

“You weren’t much of a help these past two weeks.” I growled.

LuHan laughed and shrugged.

“Mianheyo~ I’ve got lots of interview to do here in China. It’s going to get even crazier next month!”

I rolled my eyes and ignored him.

That’s right, I’m here in China.

For what? I’m not sure exactly.

Perhaps, I’m testing myself whether I can live without EunHye.

Or, trying to find the real me while I’m in China.

For all I know, I want to answer questions that are in my mind.

“Kai, what the hell is wrong with you?

Why the heck are you so frustrated for?

Why are you disappointed for no reason?

Why is your heart aching so much?

Why are you craving for her soft snore to calm your unsettled soul?

Why are you thinking about her every single time?”

But within these past two weeks, I have yet to find my answers to my questions.

I have no idea what’s wrong with me.

I have no idea why I was so frustrated at her.

I have no idea why was I disappointed.

I have no idea why my heart was aching so badly.

I have no idea why I crave for her soft snore to calm my unsettled soul.

I have no idea why I am thinking about her every single time.

Her smile, her laughter, her giggles, her tears, her whines, her complaints, her body movements, her lips…

I want it all.

I want it all so badly now.

But… she belongs to Taemin now.

Why should I care so much about her when she belongs to someone else?

“Dude, you can stay here for all you want and not talking about the reason why you have come to China but soon your problems will be revealed.” LuHan told me.

“I don’t have any problem.” I lied.

LuHan let out a laugh.

“Oh really? You’re just like SeHun~ You don’t come to China unless you have a huge problem that you want Kris and I to solve it for you.” He said sarcastically.

There was a long pause.

“I came here to enjoy.” I lied once again.

LuHan shook his head disapprovingly.

“Dude, you know the rules. No hiding. So what could be your reason and asking Lay to replace you while you’re here in China?” LuHan questioned me again.

 “Or do you want me to find out for myself?” He added with a smirk.

Darn you, LuHan.

SeHun must have told you everything already.

Let’s fly back in time, two weeks ago.

The boys and I were at our usual VIP lounge in our favorite club.

We were discussing about what we should do for our next fan meet at Time Square Mall when EXO M comes back.

After our discussion, I was about to take my leave back to SM when I suddenly remembered the ticket to China that SeHun gave me earlier.

“I want to know why you guys are sending me to China.” I demanded.

SuHo looked at me then looked away.

D.O and the rest just ignored what I said and continued on with whatever topic they were talking about.

“I want to know the ANSWER NOW.” I raised my voice.

SuHo looked rather irritated.

“You should know why Kai.” He replied coldly.

“I’m not going to China, so take back your freaking ticket.” And I slapped the ticket onto the table.

“Kai…” ChanYeol wanted to say something but he can’t seem to find the right words.

“I’m not going and that’s that. None of you can change my mind.” I hissed and stormed out.

While I was practicing my azz out, the thought of going to China strike me.

Perhaps maybe going to China could help me solve some of my problems.

I took out my phone and phoned Mr. Soo Man.

“Annyeonghaseyo? Is this Mr. Soo Man?” I asked politely.

“Yes. I’m speaking. What do you want Kai?” he asked.

“I was wondering if I could go to China and take a break.” I requested.

“Take a break? For what?! You have a busy schedule ahead!” he growled.

“I know. But you do know that I have sprained my back. So I was wondering if I could go to China for a short two week break and be back before our fan meet in Busan.”

“Then how about your schedule? Who’s going to replace you?”

Then Lay came into mind.

Since he wanted the spot light so badly, now here’s his chance.

“How about Lay hyung. He can replace me for the time being. Please, Mr. Soo Man. I need a break to relax my back.” I begged.

Mr. Soo Man sighed.

“Fine. I’ll grant your request. But you must be back within two weeks as promised.” He told me.

“Ne. Kamsahabnida, Mr. Soo Man.” I thanked him.

Usually he’s not this nice whenever it comes to requesting breaks.

And yes, I was the one who requested for Lay to go to Korea.

Who cares I’m going to China.

I’m lying now on the bed, all lights pulled out.

I was thinking about the decision I had to make.

It has been two weeks and my stay in China will come to an end.

Yet, my decision is made unclear.

I was about to sleep when suddenly my phone rang.

“Annyeonghaseyo?”

“Kai hyung? Ah, this is SeHun.”

“Aish… SeHun, you know better than to call me late at this hour!” I growled.

“Mianheyo, but I got something wish might help you to solve some of your problems.” He told me.

“I’ll send it to you.” He added and ended the call.

Within minutes, I received a recording clip from him, with his text.

“Hope this helps you.

                   - SeHun”

I played the recording and the first thing I heard was EunHye’s voice.

Why would SeHun record EunHye?

Soon, I found out the reason.

He recorded everything that EunHye has kept from me.

Something that EunHye rather keep to herself then telling me.

Her parents and her history.

I didn’t know. I suddenly felt guilty for what I said to her.

It must have hurt her real bad.

“I think I decided to be Taemin’s girlfriend because I owe him too much.”

What did I just hear?

That pabo actually accepted to be his girlfriend because she owe him?

Who in the right mind would do such a silly thing?!

Oh, that’s right. Bang EunHye, she’s not the typical kind of girl.

Smart but stupid at the same time.

Once I finished listening to the clip, I phoned SeHun.

“SeHun. What were you thinking about when you recorded EunHye?! I didn’t even want to hear her excuse!” I hissed.

SeHun laughed.

“Hyung. It’s not you don’t want to. It’s you need to. LuHan hyung will talk to you more about it.” With that he ended our call.

At the same time, LuHan entered the room.
