BEFRIEND

[Chapter 6]

                “Sunghee~yah!!!” Miyoung came running towards her. She clasped Sunghee’s face and said, “Are you alright? Did you hit your head? Sprain an ankle? What? What happened to you? I saw Sehun carry you over to the clinic! And—And then when I came in they said Luhan was coming over to bring you home—Are you alright?!”

                Sunghee was just right about to sit down on her chair. “I … don’t remember what happened.” She glanced sideways and saw Sehun on his chair and smiled at him as if saying Thank you. He smiled in return. “I just passed out.. I guess.”

                “You guess?! Are you crazy? Nobody passes out just for nothing!” Miyoung scolded.

                Sunghee scrunched her brows and pouted. “Why not?”

                “Don’t you try that puppy face on me, Sunghee. What is it? Have you been starving your self lately? Is it some sort of crazy diet? If it is then—I’m taking you to the mall right after school and I’ll buy you every donut you would like!”

                Sunghee laughed for first time that morning. “You would do that for me?”

                “Of course I would! You’re my best friend!”

                Best friend.. Then Sunghee remembered Kai.. And everything odd thing that’s been going on lately.. And she just wanted to run away from everything just once in a while.

                Sunghee pulled a smile and said, “Mall sounds good.”

                Everyone was out on the gym for P.E. class, but the teacher forced Sunghee to sit in. “No Sunghee, you sit right there. We don’t want you fainting again, do we?”

                “But—“

                “No but's. We’re just making sure.” The coach said finally.

                Sunghee sighed. “Of what?” She rolled her eyes and muttered.

                Out of the blue she felt someone pat her on the back, she turned around and saw Sehun. “Just listen to him.” He whispered.

                “But I really am alright.” She told him.

                “I’ve never seen a girl who wants to do P.E. so much.” He smiled.

                Sunghee smiled too. “So we’re on joking terms now?”

                “Tell you what, I bet you wouldn’t feel so down anymore when you watch me shoot hoops.” He said with his brows up and hands on his hips as he bragged.

                “Confident much?” Sunghee laughed. “Alright Mr. Oh, let’s see what you’ve got.”

                Sehun crossed his arms, “Shouldn’t I get a price?”

                “Alright, name it.” She smirked.

                “Donuts. After school.” He smiled.

                “Oh Sehun~ Have you been eavesdropping on me lately?” She snickered.

                “So I like donuts too. What’s wrong with that?” He said.

                “Okay. Deal.” She held out her hand for a shake.

                They shook hands.

                Just before Sehun walked off Sunghee called him, “Sehun!”

                He turned around and looked at her.

                “I forgot..” She seemed hesitant and embarrassed. “T-Thanks for carrying me to the clinic.”

                He smiled. A real beautiful smile.. “I’m glad you’re feeling better.”

               Then he continued, “Just so you know.. I will get it through those baskets.” With a full confident grin on his face, he walked towards the court.

                She beamed. “We'll see.”

“I really want to squish Baekhyun.”
